Hi Guys,

Im looking for some movies to purchase on ebay/amazon etc, Ive come across a whole heap of hollywood blockbusters, but don't know where to begin when it comes to movies I havent already seen at the cinemas.

Whats your favourite movie that didnt really make that big a smash at the box office? Or perhaps a quirky movie that no one really knew about?

Any genre is fine:

I'll start with an example:

hmmm stuck already... LOL

Have any you guys heard of a movie called 'Friends'
Think its a HK movie.. about a group of friends and their childhood together.
Then moves to a flash-forward of the future and what they become of.

Great movie, they've show in on sbs a couple of times.
Been looking for a copy, but i cant find one anywhere :(
I think i'm looking in the wrong places lol

Is this the sort of stuff your looking for? If not, then sorry for hijacking.
But this is a really good movie. If anyone can find a copy please let me know :D

haha if yall into Korean movies and like "My Sassy Girl"

Get "A moment to remember" thats the english title.

Korean title translates literally to "The Eraser in my head".....

Flawless. If you want a copy of it PM me your mailing details and ill find out a price for you next time im in the city.

The proper original release is hard to find, but the dodgy asian (yet still good qaulity) DVD copies are easy to get and doesnt cost as much either.

High School High was pretty good too!

Not sure if any of you are into HK movies, but there is a trilogy Im trying to get my hands on - Infernal Affairs, apparently Hollywood is doing a remake of it now.

RaYmO, the remake of Infernal Affairs has been around for a long time now. It's called The Departed

Momento

Metropolis
Faust
Thelma & Louise

The City of Lost Children
Lost In Translation
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Goodbye Lenin
Being John Malkovich

Delicatessen

Pulp Fiction - is that mainstream? A lot of people I know didn't understand it... but it just makes so much sense! The part about awkward silences...

Kill Bill #1 & 2 - for obvious reasons... I'm a Tarantino fanatic

A Clockwork Orange - also a Stanely Kubrick fanatic

Closer

Fight Club

The Warriors

Napoleon Dynamite (you're either a lover or a hater)

Portland St Blues (Its a "triad" film from Hong Kong - one of those young & dangerous spinoffs)

Vanilla Sky

Taxi Driver
