Not much change, really. They've sharpened up the serifs on the left side of the R, and removed the slight serif from the right side. The middle horizontal bar no longer joins the left vertical bar either, the diagonal stroke begins at the far left of the middle horizontal bar, rather than halfway along. The GT is thicker and a bit taller, and the whole thing has the appearance of being narrower left to right, but that's because it's been lengthened top to bottom.

The new red R's diagonal slash reminds me of the SE-R's.

that one is now deemed "classic" hahaha :P

Since the new gen logo has been revealed the old/current one is "old school" hehehe...

But yeah I meant the first pic in vans original post....

How will they put a lense flare on car badges? Or is the lense flare there to emulate bling that will bounce off the badge of your GT-R when in the sun?

I can't tell if that's a serious question or not. Is the lens flare seriously the only thing you can see in that image that is different to the first one? I described the differences in my post.

Looks good. More modern - the R is very different isnt it? I think these guys are just being sarcastic though. The GT-R badge has never changed drastically... Why did you use the R32 badge for reference though? R34 :

Ah, didn't realise it was the R32 badge. Basically the same except for the bottom inside serif, though.

It's not about the lens flare guys. The lens flare is just a graphical treatment on that particular pic/ It's about the fonts, going from serif to non serif (ie: for example, a times font to an arial font). It's slightly more modern without being totally different. I like that.
