R34 GTT vs XR6T (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvrruKchXV8)

Of the two sedans, I'd probably still take the XR6T. It has more space, and more torque.

Try not to lynch me too hard.

Haven't clicked it, but I'd say this is the vid I saw earlier in the year. If I recall, the XR6T is damn floaty!

I didnt click link either cos Youtube is blocked at work :(

XR6T hands down ......... cheaper parts, more torque, less cop hassles, cheaper insurance, and the knowledge of Turbo Fords is huge in Victoria, dunno about NSW. Oh, and how much would it cost you to get an R34 GTT to to run 10s with relative ease? A LOT LOT more than any XR6T, thats for sure.

But whats the main goal of buyign each car? Going fast, handling, or both? if u want a cruiser that will blow things away at the lights, and rip a mean skid, id go the ford. However, if i were to keep the car relatively standard with some nice suspension, the Skyline would be choice.

Id go skyline as the Ford is a big boat, that weighs alot, and i heard of reliability issues...but If I had teh choice, id scrap both and get the Aristo!

I will go for the GTT. Putting aside all costs, mechanical factors, skyline looks better than a falcon anyday. By the way, the modded 2 dr R34 GTT looks exactly like Eric (R34) from this forum.

A while ago i wouldve picked the R34 hands down, and in alot of cases i still would because there in my top 5 favourite cars.
But after having driven an XR6T, i gotta say that they are an awesome car. I thought it would be like a boat to, but even at high speeds it sits comfortably and never even gives a sign that its a little floaty. And the kick in is awesome, and its only running about 6 psi with the potential to go heaps more.
If i was looking for a comfortable, decent looking and fast car, i would go the XR6T.
If i wanted an individual, comfortable, big car with potential and originality, i would go the R34.

With all that being said, R34 is in my top 5 fav cars, but XR6T is in my top 3 ;)

Bleh... JZX100 Mark II :D

Out of those two though, I'd probably sway towards the XR6T (or even more so an XR8) since they're both sedans I'd want the roomiest from the two.

Wow, an interesting fact has arisen from this thread. In the XR6T, Ford have managed to create a hero car that appeals to not only your average Aussie male, but also to the hardened JDM fan. I like that.

I've always said that it's senseless to hate on Ford and Holden simply for working within a market that by its sheer size alone demands a very strictly specific type of car. But when they find it within themselves to step outside of that box and take a risk, they can build a very satisfying car. Not without its flaws, but again, when you work within a market as small as the Australian one, I don't think - money-wise - you can so easily build a car as good as those intended for the global market. Heck, even the VE is only as good as it is (depending on who you ask, I guess) because it's been built with extensive exporting in mind.

I'd go the 2door R34 GTT. If it was down to 4 doors, i'd pick the XR6T.
