Hi All,
Following up on our announcement that we have been appointed as Works Bell's exclusive Australian distributor (see http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showthread.php?t=10638 ) this weekend we opened the Works Bell section of our site.
PRICES NEVER BEFORE SEEN IN AUSTRALIA
As you can see, we've kept our promise on pricing - our ex tax retail prices are identical to the prices that Works Bell's products sell for in Japan.
So Australian customers can now get Works Bell products at ex-tax prices that are identical to what you'd pay if you lived in Japan - without the cost of an air fare to Tokyo :)
Unfortunately there is no way around GST, so the Australian government puts their hand out for 10% on sales to customers in Australia, but we believe that our pricing is the lowest everyday prices that Works Bell products have ever been available for in Australia.
And of course by by purchasing from us, because we are Works Bell's official exclusive Australian distributor you are 100% guaranteed of getting the real deal, genuine Works Bell products.
THE TUNERS GROUP'S AUSTRALIAN PRICING POLICY
In terms of our pricing policies, as I said when we released the Forced Ignition system in Australia ...
"One of our primary business goals is not just to provide high quality, innovative products, but to provide those products to our customers at prices that are not inflated by multiple layers of exporters, importers and distributors."
"We are supplied with Forced Ignition systems directly by the manufacturer in the US, and we work hard to 'cut the fat' from our supply chains."
"The end result is that we are able to supply high quality, highly innovative products like the Forced Ignition Immobilizer to our customers at the previously unseen innovative prices we are announcing today."
"For too long, customers in Australia have been forced to pay large markups on products made outside of Australia. With our new pricing on the high quality Forced Ignition system, we currently have the lowest pricing of any retailer in the world - online or offline."
AVAILABILITY AND HOW TO ORDER
There are a few products we are still adding to our ordering system, but the bulk of Works Bell's major products like the Rapfix II Quick Release, the tilting Rapfix GTC-R quick release, the Team Orange and Yoshioka Collaboration edition versions of the Rapfix II etc are all now online and available for purchase.
You can view the Works Bell section of our site at ...
http://www.tunersgroup.com/Products/Works_Bell.html
Scroll down that page to the products section and each product has a link to purchase online.

Hi Jarms,
Our ISP was doing some server maintenance earlier and they changed a setting while they were doing maintenance, which is why you got that error. It's fixed now and both pages are working just fine.
If you get that error message again, just wait a couple of minutes and try again. Our system is smart enough that if a server error occurs it won't hang indefinitely.

Can this device be brought separately?
Yes it's sold separately. Price is just AU$9.80 inc GST.
There are two different types - one with a male connector, one with a female connector.
If you can let us know the month and year build date of your car, and exact model of your car, we can ensure you get the right one for your car.

Hi Henry,
Thanks for the heads up.
Production of the Works Bell Original Steering Wheel and Yoshioka Steering Wheel is currently being done in China. Works Bell in Japan's website has been recently updated with this info. As I understand it, those two steering wheels are currently made in China to Works Bell's specifications, shipped to Japan, then Works Bell engineers put them through Japanese quality control to ensure that the quality is up to Works Bell's standards.
These are the two steering wheels I am talking about ...
http://www.tunersgroup.com/images/gallery/gallery309.jpg
http://www.tunersgroup.com/images/gallery/gallery305.jpg
Manufacturing of the Works Bell Original Steering Wheel and Yoshioka Steering Wheel is being done in China to make those two steering wheels more affordable as there had been a lot of demand from customers for lower pricing on Works Bell steering wheels.
So it is done in order to provide customers with lower pricing on the Works Bell Original Steering Wheel and Yoshioka Steering Wheel. Works Bell listened to their customers and came up with a way to provide what customers wanted, without sacrificing quality.
I have a Works Bell Original steering wheel and the quality is fantastic - it is of a very high quality. The synthetic leather used is not like any synthetic I have ever seen before. It is soft and supple, with high quality stitching - a great bit of gear. Works Bell simply won't put their name to any product unless it meets their extremely high quality standards.
The Team Orange Steering Wheel is made in Italy for Works Bell by Italvolanti. This is stated at http://www.worksbell.co.jp/en/products/collabo/index.htm
This is the Italian made Team Orange Steering Wheel ...

We will update all the Works Bell product pages next week with info on where each individual product is made.

Cheers Adam for the quick followup.
This is amazing value.
Ill have to let the peoples know about this one.

Other products of our company are all made in Japan.
And we do not have plans to manufacture products in China or other countries for our further business.

do you guys do a steering wheel spacer that i can use with my stock toyota wheel so i get 20-30mm more reach but keep airbag?
If the steering wheel incorporates splines which engage with the steering column, you can't space the wheel towards the driver because you need the full factory stock engagement depth of the splines. You also need full factory stock thread engagement depth of the nut that holds the steering wheel to the steering column, and full factory stock engagement of the connectors for the airbag and horn.
The question of it is possible at all would depend on a lot of factors, including ensuring that the connections to the airbag are retained and the horn connections are retained, and checking if it is legal to so in terms of ADR's etc, so I can't give you a definite answer about if it's technically possible without seeing the steering wheel and how it mounts, and you'd need to talk to an engineer who is familiar with the relevant ADR's and state standards in your state in terms of it can be done within the ADR's and local rules.
Does the stock wheel mount to a boss kit or is the steering wheel attached directly to the steering column ?
This is a photo of one of Works Bell's aluminium spacers ...

Works Bell make them in lengths of 10mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 30mm.
Works Bell also makes a steering wheel spacer called the Rivet Spacer ...
http://www.tunersgroup.com/images/large/large191.jpg
The rivet spacers come in 11 sizes and different lengths from 50mm-100mm in 5mm increments, and total length of 110mm, 120mm, and 130mm.

RIVET SPACER PRICES
http://www.tunersgroup.com/images/large/large191.jpg
The rivet spacers vary in price depending on spacer length. They start at 50mm, and go up to 130mm in 5mm increments.
The shortest rivet spacer is 50mm and retails in Japan for Japanese Yen 5,800 (we sell them in Australia at the same price as they retail for in Japan).
The 75mm model is Japanese Yen 8,250
The 100mm model is Japanese Yen 9,800
The 130mm model is Japanese Yen 11,500
Our Works Bell price list also lists a "Special" length rivet spacer with a price of 12,000 yen. I assume that means that they can do a custom length if required.
Here's a couple of photos of a rivet spacer attached to a Works Bell Rapfix II quick release on one of our display stands ...
