I have an idea... but no idea as to where to find the parts.

I want to build an oldish fixed rear bike with a twist.

Anyone know where I can purchase an old fixed frame (no rear suspension) in Sydney? Just the frame I guess, and maybe the front forks.

It will be a long term project and I'll inject cash into it as I go along.

fixed rear?!?!?

Perhaps my terminology is incorrect, but yeah, a fixed rear, I.e no rear suspension. I know that's what they're called in bicycle terms :P

Oh yeah, and not a drag bike. It'll be all show, no go.

Are there any motorbike wreckers around???

well you can make any old bike into a fixed rear with a few bits of steel and a welder
but for frames try bike wreckers, they have tonnes of em.

maybe youre thinking of a 'flat tracker' style bike?

dude you are after a "hard tail". what kind of bike are you doing it to? i know a guy who makes hard tails for triumphs, bsa's xs650's etc... i assume you are building a bobber?

you wont need an entire frame just the rear end. you will be able to find complete ridged frames for harleys but they will be, well, big and gay just like the harleys they are meant for
