View Full Version : So you buy a Yoshimura muffler...
How do you install these? I might be buying a 250R Ninja soon thats 100% stock and was thinking of only adding a slip on Yoshimura muffler in carbon but how do these generally 'go on'? Thanks :D

Go to your local bike mechanic/dealer. They should be able to do it for you.
Are you buying the 250R brand new or second hand?
it really isnt hard to do but if your not confident then go to a mech or pay me to do it haha

Nice find.
Seems very easy btw, pretty sure I could do it haha :D
Video should stop after the step where it tells you to take the old muffler off. All steps instructing you to put a muffler back on should be ignored.

Care to explain why?

Because it'd be irrelevant in the case of putting a new slip-on on the 250r

Ahh ok. Good man.
no no no
its because you dont need an exhaust, it will sounds crazy without one
im pretty sure thats what he's trying to get at
Thats what I thought he meant too lol! I saw a youtube vid of a Ninja 250R with a Harley (Yeah, Harley Davidson) exhaust on it. Sounded pathetic though :( REALLY annoying sound .. just not right at all.

imo, most 250's with a slip-on could use a tune.
they just seem like there tired otherwise

Seems pretty straight forward.
It'll be a lot safer than your stock muffler (peeps will hear you coming).
Yeah bike exhausts are very easy to do, I've done all mine with basic tools and and ive only set aside a few hours, it's a good opportunity of clean areas that aren't easily accessible too
You guys fail at jokes :P
I might have a used chrome Yoshimura 250R slip on for sale soon, any idea what a good price would be for that? (Think I'll put a carbon one on instead)

If its in good nick, then i guess 70% of its RRP.

Thanks :D Think that'd be about $650 - $700, might try rock it off on ebay and start off at $500, I'll see.
