I'm a bike noob. It looks like he just painted the fairings white. What's so magical about this bike?

Quality bike thats been resprayed pearl white and the rims gold .. Think he also put on a rear tyre hugger now too (plus the Yoshi pipe). Looks nice is all :D

Kwaka should definitely make pearl white a stock colour.

Thats pretty much what his done. Its not magical at all, it just one of the hottest 250cc bikes on the market today.

Lol, thats right Mike. Although there are still a few other 250's that put out. (only the 2-stroke powered ones in my opinion). Aprilia RS250, Honda NSR250. These arent even learner legal.

I took a friends Honda CBR-250RR for a spin a few weeks back (one of the quickest learner legal bikes) and I gota tell ya, all the 250's are good for is screaming. Revs to like 17,500rpm but you can feel the power dying high up in the rev range, and once your in 2nd gear, the bike pretty much rolls after that, doesnt really pick up speed like the 1st gear does.

Apparently this guys is modified a heap, he sent me a few PM's about it but they'd bragged about its speed etc: http://www.perthstreetbikes.com/forum/f27/fs-mexs-250r-2008-a-72176/
Just because its a 250cc doesnt mean its not fast :P (Or dangerous for that matter as all bikes are)

The brother of 4AGE on the forums here had a CBR250 that ran 13.8...

What did you expect, it is just a tuned gpx engine.

But IMO, it is good value for a new learner bike when cbr250's are still $5-7k.

There is nothing wrong with 250's but no matter what anyone says or how much money they spend (waste ?) they will upgrade as soon as they can

My brothers (that ran the 13.8) he paid $2300, another mate has a ZXR250 and paid $2000 and it ran 14.0

I'm not 100% on upgrading, by the time I start uni I'll most likely buy a car (I dont want to be riding a bike for 40min into Sydney CBD) but I'll keep the 250 if I can as a hobby bike/runaround. If I have the extra $$ I'd consider upgrading but its not a main goal :P

Ride to uni. Get there quicker without the hassle of public transport.
If you go either USYD or UTS, parking is free for bikes.
Cars, well.. 98% chance you will have to pay.

And try not to rush into things (wheelies, stoppies, dum shit) or you will hurt your self. I already stacked it once tryna pop the clutch. It will be a while before I do it again.

Dont think I'll be doing any of that lol :P Bike repairs are too expensive for me to gamble with anything like that

Yeh from wat ive heard the seating position is more upright.
Do you happen to own one? Cause id like to hear some reviews about it.

Supposedly they are like the best new bikes for L's platers to ride on, from what ive been told from a few salespeople. But they sound really ghey with a stock exhaust, sorta sounds like a 2 stoker...

Does not compute

2 Stroke and ghey should never be used in the same sentence

and Ninja's are the new choice cause of how they look, they don't go anywhere near as good as the old stuff, but they look ok and are brand new so that's the appeal I reckon
