Um 400mm i luved but it was either two short or two long for most of bathurst. I think when i get more expereince useing it ill get better results. I also found it harder to pan with a fixed focal length as its harder to track cars

Yes and No, some people hate them, others like them (im guessing you hate them :P thats fine photography is subjective). I do them because not many other people do it and thats the best way to market yourself, take a different angle to everyone else to ensure your "just not another motorsport photographer". Some people get caught up in them and dont take shots with high shutter speeds, mixing it up is the key for me...You will notice pretty much all the blur shots have a focal point which is essential with that style of shot. But the main reason i do it is because thats the way i like to show the sport and thats why i keep going back to take photos :)

they where pushing the car maybe 1km/h. The power of 1/5th of a second shutter speed with an on camera flash :P

Haha, nah wouldn't say hate dude, as you said, photography is definitely subjective and well its true,guess you do have to differentiate yourself from the crowd sometimes. Goodstuff again with the wide scope of your photos.

Yeah my broski took one of those speed shots with my Mx5, car was doing about 5km and looks like its doing a million :lol:

haha thanks dude, this shot is my favorite and it has so much more potential at say a v8 super car round. The bottom right cornor where the fence is... imagine if there where people standing there with bright clothes on. they would be blured and it would jsut finish of the shot.
