Alright so, my chain and sprockets need replacing. any one DIY it? where's some of the best places to go to buy this stuff? or do you all just get it from the dealers. Id much rather do it myself to learn.

For those who get their mechanics to do it who are they? and how are their rates?

This is for my VTR250 Honda if that helps in anyway.

I do everything myself now, I used to get mechanic to check valve clearance but it's not too hard. Most are around $80 an hour.

Chain and sprockets are easy, you will need a chain breaker but.

You can dodgy it with a angle grinder and a hole punch though. Don't ask me how I know this :lol:

yeh i assumed chain and sprockets are easy having a look at it its why i wanted to give it a go to be honest.

is there a parts shop you generally go to or do you usually just go with the dealers.

Chain and sprockets are pretty easy, if you search the net there would be several guides and videos, just make sure you watch a few so you know that it's correct and not some cowboy making shit up :lol:
