omg, wasn't that the one that was for sale a while back?

did you buy it? I was thinking of buying that car.

There are pics in the micra thread that Justin started.

14-02-07, 07:13 PM
Very nice car btw. :)

14-02-07, 07:17 PM
Yup that is the same one. Some of the extra mods was purchased through the original owner. I just had to do alittle bit of tidying up :)

14-02-07, 07:30 PM
nice car jing...

14-02-07, 07:56 PM
what a beast.

14-02-07, 08:00 PM

14-02-07, 08:51 PM
No way mate No way................. LOL

If i can even manage a 118 i will be super super duper duper hipo hipo happy.

14-02-07, 09:34 PM
Yup that is the same one. Some of the extra mods was purchased through the original owner. I just had to do alittle bit of tidying up :)

So nice.

If it was still for sale right now I think I would've bought it. Would've made a great daily.

14-02-07, 09:57 PM
super hot car you got there mate :)

14-02-07, 10:06 PM
that is kick ass Jing

is it a super S?

Justin Fox
14-02-07, 11:43 PM
Does "super S" stand for "super Small?" :P :)

Awesome Jingers. I used to want one when they first came out and I wanted to buy one to mod it despite much disapproval from friends!

I say everyone has to try a Kei car!!!

14-02-07, 11:50 PM
Wilch :: you would have to make scrafices though. No aircon, No power steer, and its shit stiff.

I do have the aircon system here but im hoping winter will come along quickly so i wont ruin my power-weight ratio. Its already so paltry.

Kelv :: its actually an lx which is the lightest of the range and does not come with sunroof. The front bar and rear bar oem super s front bars.

15-02-07, 12:53 AM
Damn so nice!

15-02-07, 07:55 AM
Wilch :: you would have to make scrafices though. No aircon, No power steer, and its shit stiff.

I don't mind the no aircon so much :). No power steering isn't an issue either, and I'm use to stiff :)...

All this and I live 5mins drive from work :D. Perfecto... hehe, wanna sell?

***EDIT: Why did I say, "I live 5 mins drive from work" instead of "I work 5mins drive from home"...Hmmm, not good. I need a holiday.

15-02-07, 07:57 AM
This is a surprisingly good lookin' car with those wheels, nice man!

15-02-07, 08:28 AM
wow! Love it, seen it at the CC EC Day

15-02-07, 09:01 AM
Looks like it is alot of fun driving it!
Nice! Good taste.

15-02-07, 10:06 AM
JING .. YOU BOUGHT 2's old car!! I HATE YOu!!! *extremely jealous*

I'll buy it off you for what u paid ...... :P

Does "super S" stand for "super Small?" :P :)
As im sure you're aware, the MIcra is compared to a Mini in a lot of ways ... similar dimensions, similar shape, but a hell of a lot more cooler in my opinion ....... the Super-S name was a marketing strategy which was a direct copy of the Mini Cooper-S name.

I say everyone has to try a Kei car!!!
The Micra is NOT a Kei Car by any means!

15-02-07, 11:16 AM
Looks hardcore Jing.

15-02-07, 11:29 AM
nice, how much was it? lol :D

15-02-07, 11:31 AM
WTF!!! AWSOME!!!... it's sooo... cute!

15-02-07, 11:55 AM
nice, how much was it? lol :D

purchased the car for $5200 and spent $1000+abit more on the rest of the fly, cams, clutch.

Out of my own pocket i have spent around $600 ish?

15-02-07, 12:07 PM
Hahaha! Micra powaa! I love it, Jing.

15-02-07, 01:04 PM
awsome car jing, i really like it

I think you should look at a deep corn nardi, that would solve your problems with the indicator stalks ;)

15-02-07, 01:12 PM
The problem is solved already with the quick release

15-02-07, 01:15 PM

A rough mockup of how i want my gauge cluster setup to be :)

15-02-07, 08:07 PM
Shouldnt be too hard to do ? Get an autometer monster tacho instead :P GHegege

U will want a Speedo too ? :P

Justin Fox
15-02-07, 08:12 PM
You mod hard Jingers!!!

15-02-07, 08:13 PM
You mod hard Jingers!!!
he sure does!

nice work jing :)

15-02-07, 11:40 PM
Shouldnt be too hard to do ? Get an autometer monster tacho instead :P GHegege

U will want a Speedo too ? :P

i have a Blitz power id lying around to tell me the speed :)

16-02-07, 12:33 AM
yea saw this at CC EC day, looked nuts, awsome looking car.

well done.

16-02-07, 12:53 AM
Today i got a new APx Titanium shift knob and some APx black lightweight wheel nuts. Pictures soon. The APx rounded shift knob is so much better then the thin knob that used to always dig into my palm shifting :(

16-02-07, 12:58 AM
i like
sounds like you got a deal for 5200$

should be an easy 1:18 at Wakefield with Ebc greenstuff all the suspension goodies along with coilovers.
look forward to seeing it at next trackday

16-02-07, 01:34 PM
You know we're going to have to start a micra cup now right Jing? ;)

17-02-07, 04:52 PM

New Apx gearknob, and u can also spot the quick release

17-02-07, 06:15 PM
time for 2 brides

17-02-07, 06:59 PM
i have a bucket seat coming already, however i am not too enthused about getting another one for the passenger. Will see how it turns out.

17-02-07, 08:01 PM
definitely looks the goods dropped on the weds. especially the pumped front guards. how does it go, looks zippy.

19-02-07, 07:01 PM
hahaha leave the passenger seat just the driver :)

22-02-07, 10:46 PM

22-02-07, 11:04 PM
definitely looks the goods dropped on the weds. especially the pumped front guards. how does it go, looks zippy.

Its quite raw interms of driving feel. It feels possibly alot faster then it really is but yes it does feel fun. Not the most comfy car to drive anywhere though.

22-02-07, 11:07 PM

was thinking the other day, wonder how jings car looks like!

hotness man

25-02-07, 05:53 PM

brighter pic

25-02-07, 05:54 PM
That's a nice finish!

25-02-07, 06:51 PM
damn thats clean very tidy ride..

25-02-07, 07:11 PM
where did you get the cf to make the backing plate if you dont mind me asking? a friend is interested in doing something similar.

25-02-07, 08:05 PM
nice work jing!

hmm thats what i needed on my swift. a tow hook

25-02-07, 11:19 PM
where did you get the cf to make the backing plate if you dont mind me asking? a friend is interested in doing something similar.

The original purchased the CF panel in a square panel. From where he did not tell me. We just cut it using an airsaw and fit it to the back of the center console.

I am absolutely sure that bodyform sells square CF, and also i had a squidge at the 5zigen catlogue and they sell some too it seems :!:

28-02-07, 02:21 PM
I can get CF panels.

28-02-07, 02:32 PM
i like the euro plates haha, well suit the jap style of the car

btw car looks really cool, i like micras, but i dont have enough money to mod one hard..

28-02-07, 02:58 PM
cool. will let my mate know and tell him to get in contact with you guys if he is interested.

Justin Fox
28-02-07, 03:57 PM
I want CF panels pm me prices incl. delivery!

28-02-07, 04:19 PM
Any idea exactly what colour the car has been sprayed in?

01-03-07, 01:50 AM
it is actually a very common color. The old rounded commos had it on their whole range. Differnece is they come out buffered and clear coated and hence not a matt finish.

The color is holden tungsten pearl?

01-03-07, 08:17 AM
The color is holden tungsten pearl?

Thought it was that colour from the VT's, just wanted to check ... its amazing how the shape of a car, and the finish on the paint , can change the colour so dramatically, and change a boring colour to such a hot looking shade!

01-03-07, 11:23 AM
i like the euro plates haha, well suit the jap style of the car

The biggest market for Micras was actually the UK, they sold a heap of them there so the Euro plates go well with Micras for a reason :)

Very nice car though, I love small cars that handle good.

01-03-07, 11:32 AM
our micras are actually euro made indicators are all in euro format, i think previous owner purchased the euro plates to fill the plate area on the bumper. It worked though.

01-03-07, 11:37 AM
The biggest market for Micras was actually the UK, they sold a heap of them there so the Euro plates go well with Micras for a reason :)

Super S bumpers came with extra-wide space for Uk plates as standard ;)

Nissan has a large factory in the uk ... All the old K11s, and the new K12 micras coming to Australia are gonna be made there.

EDIT -> Jing beat me to it :P

01-03-07, 11:42 AM
Yep, the new Micra shares the platform with the new Clio as well. I've heard rumours through sources in France and Belgium that theres going to be an awd turbo Clio. I wonder if Nissan would have the balls to do a Micra like that :)

01-03-07, 11:43 AM
just another picture.

01-03-07, 11:49 AM
Filler Panel/Grill needs a nissan badge, or should be filled in, smoothed over, and resprayed. That'd look hot :)

Justin Fox
01-03-07, 11:51 AM
Could very well be the hottest Micra in the whole of Australia.

01-03-07, 02:02 PM
Im willing to say it is justin. Looks so cute but also very tough. i love it.

02-03-07, 11:44 AM
That paintjob looks great!

02-03-07, 12:24 PM
the paintjob is actually pretty shocking!

Thanks for the comments guys. Have a few more mods coming soon and will post when i have pics

04-03-07, 03:55 PM
Spent all morning finding the right equipment and finally found it.

A bit of fiddling around with it and soon this is the result. The verdict? Although most peoples opnions are that its more of a cheap mod that does nothing. In principle when i think about it it SHOULD work.

Prior to this, the hole in the airbox just sucked air in from the engine. Now it has a direct cold air intake. The test drive in todays weather (35degrees) says that its slightly better. Who knows hey? Just something cheap and something i can do over the weekend.

04-03-07, 04:25 PM
Stop it already and sell me the car!

Dave R
04-03-07, 04:32 PM
I hope you have a filter in there somewere so u dont suck anything in to the engine

04-03-07, 04:35 PM

04-03-07, 04:36 PM

05-03-07, 10:13 PM

06-03-07, 02:37 PM
Very noice ride buddy!

Very tuff! I've always had a soft spot for the k11's.

08-03-07, 01:52 PM

Just another picture

Disclaimer :: i did not hose down the car with that hose.....

11-03-07, 02:12 PM
nice pics mate, the car is looking great!!

11-03-07, 02:54 PM
Love it.

Really, love it.

11-03-07, 04:37 PM
That place seems like a very popular photo spot :P

As always Jing, lovin it!

11-03-07, 05:13 PM
what model seat you got in there???

Justin Fox
11-03-07, 05:35 PM
Getting into the camera hey Jingers? Good one! The seat looks a lot better than stock that's for sure! I'm sure it feels better too.

11-03-07, 08:46 PM
the quality is absolutely shit house hey? Not too comfy too. But for $169 what do you expect? The universal rails that came with it is just retarded, they give you lower holes but wtf? it rubs the rails when u try to lower it. RETARDED..........

It does however provide excellent hold and propel it that much closer to a pseudo sport hatch

I don't have enough love to pop $1300 + for a seat atm we will see after track day if it deserves something better or if i should just give up LOL.

The seat is just a generic brand, there is no brand on it.

11-03-07, 10:32 PM
jing we need to meet up to get your secret mirca mod :)

12-03-07, 03:29 PM
whats the expected laptime on wakefield in one such as yours Jing?

12-03-07, 03:36 PM
i think a VERY good driver should be able to do a 1.18, i have seen lesser modified cars do that time.

Having said that driver is the issue, we will find out on wed.

12-03-07, 04:40 PM
let us know how it goes.

12-03-07, 11:31 PM
Tacho is in jings car now :D

13-03-07, 12:55 AM
thanks for the install mr ed

13-03-07, 01:34 AM
you'll appreciate any bucket seat on the track.
my stock seats suck.
half the time your worrying about stopping the backside from sliding.

where you get the seat from.
is it just a justjap seat or something?

13-03-07, 08:46 AM
www.soldsmart.com.au is the place i got my seat from. I wouldn't advise dealing with them ever again. No contact address in australia, No phone number in australia really just a pot shot in the dark.

13-03-07, 08:23 PM
Just got my clutch and fly wheel in.

The stock fly wheel are around the 11-12kg mark exchanged with the jun 4kg fly wheel and OMFG what a difference.......

13-03-07, 08:25 PM
hey jing, who does all d work on ur car?

13-03-07, 09:21 PM
Is motor racing

14-03-07, 11:42 PM
All pictures thanks to thanh

14-03-07, 11:52 PM
lap time?

14-03-07, 11:52 PM
AN45 YQ!!!!

15-03-07, 12:03 AM
lap time?

I tried ultra hard to get it under 1.20 that would have made me super happy but alas it wasn't the day.

more practice me reckons.....

15-03-07, 09:10 AM
Whoa... the micra doesn't look too small on its own but its TINY alongside the other small cars.

Nice work Jing!

Justin Fox
15-03-07, 11:20 AM
AN45 YQ!!!!

15-03-07, 11:43 AM
this micra is hardcore !!!

15-03-07, 11:46 AM
LOVE the racetape :)

15-03-07, 05:21 PM
nice pic there mate, car is looking mean!!

16-03-07, 01:42 PM
All it needs now is some power like this one here.

12 sec micra :)

24-03-07, 08:27 PM
I installed a Defi vsd today as a remedy to my tacho. Or rather my unreadable tacho.

Previously the autometer tacho i had installed was not really up to scratch and hence driving on track had to be guess work on where my shift points are. Hopefully with the VSD i wont have this problem anymore. I used to think the VSD is ricey however under track conditions it could become an absolute life saver.

However it seems to be installed wrong atm as it is displaying RPM as km/h. LOL. When you press on the throttle the km/h flies up.

Also borrowed Zi's aims laptimer *thanks for that jdmyard!*

just working on the car in this pic, trying to iron out a few things

25-03-07, 11:28 AM
can u see the defi vsd in daylight track conditions?

25-03-07, 11:36 AM
thats one serious shopping trolly.....and you got a 1:20...... thats nothing to be ashamed of. Fully hectic without all the rice. Very nicely finished

Love yer Verk.

Justin Fox
25-03-07, 05:09 PM
I walked past an old Nissan maxima today, had a built in Defi style heads up display. Forgot about that! :)

25-03-07, 06:12 PM
Phew, finally finished the VSD. I think it should be of use on the track in broad daylight as the shift lights are bloody bright.

02-06-07, 03:31 PM
decided not to sell it, just couldnt after i saw it and drove it more again........

I should have some interesting concept for this car stay tuned :D

02-06-07, 03:43 PM
I think you should put racing stripes on it, and hang a big oil cooler out the front.

And get Watanabes, you tit! :)

02-06-07, 03:47 PM
I think you should put racing stripes on it, and hang a big oil cooler out the front.

And get Watanabes, you tit! :)

Gee...that's an awesome idea....whoever thought of it must be an absolute legend :D

02-06-07, 03:48 PM
so we're gonna see more track action with this eh?

02-06-07, 03:53 PM
great in the space of two posts you guys spoilt the surprise.

Babs :: mattblack apparently ISNT expensive. Its actually very cheap

ICED :: yes mate definitly. Best time now is at 1.19.4 set by narada. I will be trying to work myself to reach what he has set.

05-06-07, 12:37 PM

05-06-07, 12:39 PM
That's so cool, Jing, it's a great wonder how you managed to organise a paint job and new wheels at such short notice :D

05-06-07, 12:45 PM
efficiency is the name of the game

05-06-07, 01:25 PM
That seat isnt adr compliant huh?

05-06-07, 01:27 PM
i heavily heavily doubt it. I doubt the seat is anywhere compliant

05-06-07, 01:39 PM
ive seen em on ebay and they look the goods, just wonder if they are structually ok?

05-06-07, 02:06 PM
they feel quite stiff if thats what you are refering to
