OK, here it is, my MX-5 replacement. Massive thanks to Felix Alim, who's becoming an absolute pro photographer! He's got a whole load of great gear and he's great at directing too.

Thought the JDM ones had additional red tail lights on the boot panel? Or was that just on the V..?

That was an optional extra (extra weight lol) on all 6's rodent. The JDM ones have funky climate control + most importantly JDM has front LSD as well as rear. Amazing that the Aus. spec misses out on the front diff.

Actually, the rear reflectors are standard on the red TME's, yet on all the other colour TMEs they were optional.

haha well it should depending on its setup.
I hear it has decent power.
For reference i got 1.95 in a lotus. I think i could get there abouts or a tad faster.

yeah that was me it was white enkies, my car die there, blow a fuel pump relay,
felix. yeah i was out on there when you went for your first track day and justiin just got his mx5

Well, good news Evan, the GT-R is tuned!!! So we're on!!! Not next weekend but very soon after OK? I'll be looking for a weekday open track day.
Hahaha i was only kidding.. but i'll come n watch for sure.
evan might have been joking but im not!.. ill get it under 1.10!
do you think the evo can get a 1.10?

lol 1.10 in the EVO dead stock with street tyres? I doubt I could do it. 1.11/12 should be AOK.
hmm well ive seen somewhere that the EVO8 and 9 can do wakie in the high 9s low 10s, depending on conditions..
question is, just how much slower is the 6.5
also your RE01s are a better tyre than the 050s im presuming..
of course whether any of us can actually do it!

OK I am sure it could be done, but I'd have to have a few big offs before getting there myself lol. Then again it's a rally car! I'm sure it'll handle the offs just fine!!!
I'm not excited at all about taking this out on track though, more excited about taking it to do the groceries.
It's the GT-R I'm getting psyched for. Sub 1.10 here we come. The beast is almost out of the cage!!!

i havent yet seen a GTR driven in real anger yet around there.. the winfield GTR did a 1.09 but it wasnt even trying...

Does either car have ABS?
Fastest lap i did at wakefeild felt like i wasn't trying at all.. remember smooth is fast.
GTR must be a handful coming out of the fish hook?

The GT-R is meant to have ABS but I've never ever felt it, in fact I've locked up a fair few times so go figure... it must be dead? The EVO must have ABS? The brakes are just so good on the EVO though, so good that they make the car feel light.
GT-R, was a handful before with the Whiteline set-up, loves to get the tail out, with the new set-up (Tein/Cusco) I've got understeer... so need to work on it to get it right. Smooth is soooo much faster it's almost boring in comparisson to say the MX-5 on a track.
