haha yeah i had to take it out to get the strut bar in there and i thought i'd leave it out for a while, pretty noisy in there now.

Very nice car.... Love the rims :)

13-03-07, 10:51 AM
very nice! Is it really noisy without the rear tim carpet etc?

13-03-07, 02:20 PM
um its not to bad, depends on how far you have to drive and how rough the roads are i guess. i did a 300km country drive on the weekend and the road noise did start to get a little annoying. i think i've got used to it now cos i've had a few people in the car recently and they commented how noisy it it.

bit of an update on my car.

Volks are gone :( i want to go down to 17's and got these sold pretty quick
Im running around on stockies for a while untill a nice set of somethign pop up, tho the new rays CW time attacks look sweet.
Untill then i will be buying coilovers very soon, either Toda Fightex DA or Zeal Function X or XS, anyone got any opinions either way?? will also be doing sway bars and engine mounts soon.

Fitted a GruppeM a few months ago now, that thing sounds sweet north of about 4500rpm

An Exedy Organic clutch and lightweight Flywheel has also been fitted. nice and revvy now tho took a bit of time to get used to the bitier engagement over stock, tho its settling down now.

Also fitted a JDM DC5R Red rocker cover and silver spark plug cover.

The toda catback is gone and replaced with a Fujitsubo Powergetter, the car pulled 122kw atw at Perth AS Dyno comp, pretty happy with that.

couple of pics,
on the dyno at perth AS, tho obviously doesnt have the wheels on anymore

and the updated engine bay.

Nice updates!
You forgot to mention that you've upgraded your radiator cap as well :P

Red rocker cover is awesome!
No idea why AUSDM DC5R's came out of factory with silvers ones..

Looking good as mate :)

Be sure to post them over on CITR :D

nice car. i considered getting one of these but parents wouldn't let me drive a manual with an auto licence ==''. i personally would have gotten white but this blue is looking quite hot

20-09-07, 02:48 PM
haha well spotted nam, i forgot about the radiator cap, really only bought that to help out a mate cos he bought the wrong one when he was in Japan. and yah bit silly they didnt put Red rocker covers on, anyway thats what u have to live with, with DC5R's.

hebe- i think there are some pics floating around on CITR, might post some more up soon.

minix3- i either wanted blue or white, and white is rare as in WA, i think i have seen 2 ever. and this car was in excellent condition and v.low k's.

You can't go wrong with blue....either blue or white...nothing else :p
