Pretty hot mate, nice one!! Love the front bar, and white rims always look great on a yellow body.

09-03-07, 02:15 PM
It's not 'brand new' right ? Surely u havent spent 'that much' on mods to a brand new car!!! *FLABERGASTED!!!*

PS : Looks much better than Justins Black one

Eddie

Seriously .... how can u justify spending so much on a brand new car ! You coulda bought a Civic Sport ???? And 4Pot brakes on a mechanically stock 1.5L, Please explain!! Sorry to question you, but it makes NO SENSE in my mind unless u transferred 90% over it from an older model Jazz!

actually the stock jazz systems are pretty shocking at best. I guess braking is one of those things that you cant have too much of. We talk about balance and such but braking is something i would happily have too much of i reckon. Safety on the street too.

it's ok, suspention is very soft, but its nice.

ARgh! tein do this with ALL of their small hatch suspension. Super wagons for the corolla come with a 3/3 spring rate... im sure the jazz will also.

We're upgrading to 6/4 on the corolla - as quite a few people have done - so maybe look into that. Its around 480 of a new set of stiffer tein springs, and that should fix the boatish floaty ride you no doubt endure!

ps awsome jazz, if you want to spend you money like that - cool! I rekon its worth it :)

felixR
09-03-07, 06:34 PM
nice work eddie! :)

looking good..

baannnanaanannaaaaaaa!

i think the spring rates on the jazz is 6kg/6.6kg or something like that.

Eddie
09-03-07, 10:54 PM
the super compact on the jazz are 4 front 5.5 rear

and the bc justin's got are 5 front 6.5 rear

hardest you can get for the jazz i think either the spoon custom spring rate or the j's racing SPL which are 10 front 12 rear

^CarBoy^
09-03-07, 11:33 PM
Amazing Jazz!!! :) I'm a Jazz owner myself.. :) Amazing you already customised yours in just a week!!! :) Took me a year to do mine!! bwahbbhabhwabh :)

Jing

NOpe but the highbeams are ABSOLUTELY USELESS.

It points way to high, and to lower the highbeam u gotta lower the low beam too making low beam useless Hmmmmmmmm

Spoon car is pretty low huh?

Jing
11-03-07, 09:19 PM
surprisingly everyone thinks that the spoon jazz at the time attacks was most impressive is wrong.

They were beaten by a local tuning company specilising in J's racing products called AJ racing. They apprently beat the spoon fit by 3 seconds and was .9 seconds behind the n1 widebody k20a fit. To be fair the k20a fit was running stock brakes and stockish suspension. i dont know if this is credit to them or if its complete stupidity :p

Anyways pic of the fit that beat spoons fit.

+1

the Jazz brake rotors are 240mm same size as the base model civics of the EG era (GL, GLi).
its wise to do some upgrades especially the corner ability of the car has been improved. faster cornering deserves better brakes.

Wilwood 4pot is hectic.

lionhart87
14-05-07, 07:42 PM
makes me wanna do the same for my jazz.
Just need to save up. Next on my lists are those teins super compacts and some new wheels.
Btw, i think i saw you last night eddie down kingsgrove rd around 10:20pm or so. You drove past me at the lights for pickles auctions. Cos it was a yellow jazz with white volk rims lol and yea the HID.

Justin Fox
14-05-07, 11:29 PM
Brakes on the manual aren't so bad at all. Brakes on the automatic CVT is another story altogether.

lionhart87
15-05-07, 12:52 PM
i thought they were the same, but i do feel mine are lacking.
just wanna hurry up and use it so i can go get better brake pads

Jing: I thought the Spoon Fit only had the 1.5L motor (didn't they feature this in BMI International VTEC club DVD).

Bit unfair to compare with a K20 powered one.

Jing
15-05-07, 04:28 PM
thats correct but they were in a class which allowed all of it.

I use to see your car on Canterbury Rd. in the morning and always pondered if you had a K20 or not due to your plates! I guess question answered nows!

Damn this thing would fly. Hope to see it at the drag strip or Wakefield/Oran!

just wondering, how much do Jazz's weight compared to a DC5R or EP3R?

Eddie
09-09-08, 09:38 PM
that pic is taken at olympic park

ran into heaps of issue with the conversion LOL since no one has really done it except for 1 guy is the US, dedy from topone did the conversion from scratch and i must say he did a hell of a job

jazz manual weight 1050kg stock....i'd say the car right now should weight around 1050kg as well

Looks like a very tight fit. Was there any chassis cutting involved?

Eddie
09-09-08, 09:46 PM
just had to cut alittle bit of the chassis in the bottom....but it's been reinforced so it's all good

Very nice Jazz, I really like both versions, the nearly stock one as well as the mugenized car. Awesome!

Sorry for putting this thread up once again, but which tire size is he running and how much is the Jazz lowered? Thanks in advance!
