Hey guys

Starting next year i'll be looking to get a road bike as well as getting my Ls as i've never been allowed even though i've been riding offroad for a while now. So far i've got a list of bikes that i'll be looking at:

Yamaha
SR250
SR400
SR500
XS650
SRV250

Honda
GB250
CB250

Kawasaki
KZ400
KZ500
W400
W650

Suzuki
GN250
GN400

So most of the bikes i'm looking at are old style street tracker/cafe style bikes that i will eventually modify. Through searching for bikes i've found a few japanese only bikes that look awesome so i'm wondering how you would go about importing bikes and if its the same as cars were they have to be approved by SEVS if made after 1988. The ones i've found are:

Suzuki Bigboy TU250

Honda FTR

Any help is great

I am under the impression that it will fall under the same 15 year old rule. just keep in mind old bikes usually means works needs to be done to get it up to a reliable state.

the SRV250 was sold in australia, so was the GN250.

Yeah most of the list above are bikes that i've found which can be found in aust or originally sold here.

Yeah the older bikes like sr400s and other can be imported if made before 1989 but I was just wondering if there is a SEVS list with workshops and if it follows the same way of getting a car complied
