anyone who owns a car in singapore is super duper rich... i remember my parents buying a 10yr old honda accord for $40,000....
they must be very safe driver as singapore's a strict country... so if they were to speed... sayonara...

actually, car prices have dropped a fair bit over the years in singapore.
here's what you pay to purchase a car.
Base Price + 110% tax + Certificate of Entitlement (currently around $20000. Used to be around the 40k mark.)
a honda accord cost AUD$132 000 in 1997
now its around AUD$74 000.
so car prices have dropped over the years.
a IS250 is around AUD$110 000.
the chances of getting caught speeding in singapore is lower than getting caught in Australia as well.
Less highway patrols, less radar guns.
Fines are cheaper too.
Some cars are registered to be driven on weekends only but they're pretty rare. Most cars are just normally registered. Road tax/Rego is around 1500 a year for a 2 litre and below car, with an increase as your displacement increases.
