Forgive my ignorance but do these actually work? Wouldn't the oil filter do most of the...... filtering?

they're probably a good idea for a freshly rebuilt motor

Fair question.

Yes, they do work.

These are very popular, particularly in drag racing circles (for some reason) along with other magnets. The reason is that the oil filter does not pick up all metal particles, the sump plug helps in this regard.

At $25 they are really a cheap investment...and dare I say it, they look pretty good to!

Just ordered one after what I saw what the dealers did to my stock sump plug yesterday.

These definitely DO work.

I used one once for about 10,000KM's (I usually change at 5,000) and you would be surprised at how much micro metal shavings get caught on the magnet! Preety intense.

Do you also sell them for gearbox sumps ? I remember my gearbox had way more than my motor.. How odd.

Will definitely buy one when I'm back from China.

ohh crap did you tell them?

Ill be going in with a list of all the fuck up they have done on my car, taking the bolt in and telling them they have lost a customer who has his car serviced 4 to 5 times a year.

I have a bolt missing from my dump pipe after they changed the exhaust manifold and a bolt missing from the heat shield

I'm wondering if you have any for a 2001 EU3 Civic Hatchback ?

I think the motor is a D17A2 if memory serves me correct.

I believe the M14 sized one should fit, as it fits most Hondas. Can't confirm though.

Ah, no problem.

Repco/autobarn couldn't confirm either, so I guess I will have to take a trip to Honda spare parts

We can't confirm that, sorry. We don't have an application listing. All we have from Trust is the rough guide which stipulates 'Most Hondas'.

Thanks ttshark, but you should have sent us an email!

Unfortunately there is no definitive list of what vehicles these do and don't fit, only a very rough guide from TRUST Japan.

I imported mine from Japan about a year ago with other car parts. If only you guys were selling them back then, way more convenient.
