All it needs is a front splitter.

really clean looking fd

thanks for the compliments fellas!

yeah, i do agree, looks much better with a front-splitter / lower-lip... I do have one for the car, but have taken it off recently cause the car is so low i end up scraping / scratching it on stuff (speed humps are the enemy of the mod-car enthusiast  )

Here is what the car looks like with it put on....

Clean fd man! I like it!;)

nice silver FD man! DONT Sell it, keep it. Your car is a rare "SERIES 7" import (it has back seats right?, im sure its an import because it has EFINI logo's everywhere, where as the OZ Series 7 - last Series ever made in Australia - had the Toilet seat Mazda emblem also with sunroofs....imported FD's rarely have sunroofs because of the extra weight issue) Series 7's came with those whale tail wings and updated round circle tail lights (which Mazda also ended up using on the Series 8)

r-spec : i think he means a Bathurst R, but that would mean it has red leather seats and red carpet (i think also a momo s/wheel)

Type R's came out only in Series 8's and so did the newer version of the Bathurst R

just had a look at your car pics again and yes its a JDM import Series 7, 195 flywheel kilowatts to be exact. Aussie specs had those ugly reflectors on each side of the rear number plate and also a wider space for the plate.

Thanks for the nice comments fellas, much appreciated :)

Trdboy your a wealth of knowledge bout these cars (have been unknowingly using/referring to your website over the last year to find out about the cars too, its tops, keep up the good work). Thanks for the info bout mine....

It is a jap import series 7, with back seats, whale tail rear wing, round tail lights and Momo steering wheel

As for the r-spec grade, I have to be honest and say I dont have a single reference explaining exaclty what my car is... have pieced together bits of information from different websites to 'suspect' what my car is.... All i know is that on the chassis plate it says:

"GRADE: TYPE R SPECIAL EDITION" (has this got anything to do with the Bathurst R?)

So there we have it !

Any comments, suggestions and info welcome :)

Looking at the front-splitter-on and front-splitter-off pics makes me wanna put that splitter on all the time now! (you guys shouldnt have mentioned it 2 me otherwise I wouldnt have looked at them side by side hehe)....

Might have to engineer a retractable front-splitter so I can still look nice, and drive around town without slowing down to a crawl for every speed-bump, driveway, or old-lady crossing the street (just joking about the last one........... you dont need to slow down for THEM *LOL* haha)
