How I found JDMST: word of mouth

Hi everyone I've been browsing this forum for a while now and thought I should introduce myself. I don't actually drive a jap car at the moment but please don't give me too much crap ;)

I used to own a jazz, to which I spent time modding and it was great fun since it was cheap and economical to maintain. Finally decided I wanted a faster car recently so I got rid of it and bought a 2004 Alfa Spider V6. Initially I just wanted something that was fast enough and looked good just being stock so I can stop pouring money into it but now that I've owned it for a while I'm developing an itch to keep the mods going :???:, which is not good considering how much more expensive it is to mod a european car...mmm...currently all thats gone in is the sound system, but I am looking at cosmetic mods like kits, suspension, rims, etc.

I'm exploring the opportunities to 'JDM'ise the Alfa, and considering it will make the car look slick and hot (NOT rice!) I would definitely go down this path. So if there's any ideas you guys can give me (including flaming down the idea completely) I'll be glad to hear it!

I guess just browsing this forum alone is making me wanna go get a jap car:???:
Oh well, the alfa will just have to do for now.

See you guys in the threads

hi.

i like the fact that you like JDM style tuning.

Now all you need is like an R34 GT-R :P :P :P: :P:P:P:P:P:P;

welcome aboard!

Welcome to JDMST, Stephen.
Great choice of ride there, mate
I love the Alfa Romeos, they look great (if not better than most JDM cars out there) and are imbued with motoring passion
Go the Brera and Spider V6!

Check out the JDM goodies on non-jdm cars. They look heaps better than some of the jap cars around!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome. I took a look at the 'JDM goodies on non-JDM cars' thread and I gotta admit those BMWs look hot on the work wheels. That might just be the first thing I'll change.

Luc I was almost going to get a GTR - that might just come next :)

I'll post some pics of the Spider and my former Jazz in the pics section.

HA!
Just hte other day I was trawling carsales looking at all these Spiders aka "Depreciaters", thinking it would be pretty cool to see one done up nicely.

Go for it I say! You really wouldn't have to spend that much to make it look & sound good... Lower, wheels, exhaust. Tint maybe. It doesn't need anything else...?
