Prior to the 180, I had a 4 door R33 (taxis ftw! :) ). Unfortunately it was rear ended and deemed a write off.

Well, I hope to meet you guys in the near future
Nice Type X, I've never seen them come in Red (in Aus that is). Very nice!
nice .... but lose the rear spoiler (that isnt wide enough), and the aweful rear nissan badge -- shocking placement! I blame the prev owner of course :)

Update!
Mainly cosmetic changes. I replaced those horrid white wheels with some LMGT4s, removed the DRC sticker and tinted my windows hehe.
Anyway here are some pictures of my updated ride!

does your number plate say barbecue?
hehe nah. I couldn't think of anything creative at the time, so I opted for standard issue white plates. It was pure luck they gave me something that kind of looked like "180" lol
Looking much better now Harry :)
seen this car around fairfield area alot. Looking very nice with the LMGT4. Holla if u see me around.
oh i finally found details of this in my bored lurkingness.
you seem to change the wheels everytime i see it in the parking lot:P
very nice car man, i dont normally like 180's, but a nice type X always looks awesome..

haha yeah. I've got a set of work meisters coming in this week. they're in customs at the moment. Let's hope that I'll stick with these wheels lol
I went on a bit of a spending spree and bought myself a few bits and pieces
- some meisters
- type x front lip
- carbon fibre rear garnish
- powerfc
- z32 afm
- r33 brakes
I've only had time to put on the rims. Here are some pics!

I had to raise the car up so that the wheels wouldnt foul against the guards. Next step is to get the rear guards flared a bit. Any recommendations to where i should go?

Oh jesus
thats hot.
Farkin DC2s. Like a pissed bloke at the footie, they've always gotta get in on the camera action.
I liked the LMGT4s better personally.
awesomest offset ever on a 180
what size sires you running?
can never go wrong with meisters!
very nice man, don't see many red type X's out there!
love it
awesomest offset ever on a 180
what size sires you running?
I'm running 235/40 on a 10" rim and 225/45 on a 9" rim.
Got around to flaring my rear guards. Pics up shortly :)
looks awsome.....are these 4 stud or 5 stud???
A few other updates
Got around to flaring the rear guards slightly and lowering the height of the rear. Would ideally like to drop the rear of the car another inch at the rear and another1.5" at the front. But my coilvers wont go any lower. I'm looking at replacing the Superstreets with Monoflexes in the near future.
http://members.optusnet.com.au/o.le/meister1.JPG
http://members.optusnet.com.au/o.le/meister2.JPG
I also gave the car a few power up mods consisting of
T28BB turbo
Walbro fuel pump
Nismo 555cc injectors
Z32 AFM
Blitz Dual SBC Spec-R ebc
PowerFC
I'm making 193rwkw.I'm pretty happy with the results. My tuner suspects there is an exhaust blockage (possibly melted cat) resulting in the 3psi boost drop at the mid to top end. So once that is fixed i should be pushing around 200rwkws
http://members.optusnet.com.au/o.le/dyno.jpg
Nice rims and offset, looks the goods!
bout time you updated your thread harry...
looking good yo! keep it up
I <3 Red 180s... and this one tops the list!
saw this at power tune a few weeks back! love it.

Hey,
Nice car dude. How do you find the Tein Superstreets? are they Aus or Japspec? Comfortable?
I was looking to replace my Zeals with the Superstreets. Interested in trading? lol

My superstreets are Aus spec. They're much more comfortable than other coilovers I have tried. I've sent you a PM regarding trading

looks so tough!
the front wheels almost look like they have positive camber compared to the rear :P
is it still the original paint on the guards? they look pretty sweet

yeh aus spec superstreets aren't bad. you get a warranty and they are so comfy.

hehe yeah popped down to stratty last night for a late night snack

the camber issues will be fixed very soon. The fronts needs much neg camber as it's runnin only -0.5. From memory the rears are at -3, I'll get everything aligned once I have the time.
That's original paint on the guards.
THe guard is dented. Looks like someone was leaning on it and popped it in. I'm on the hunt for paintless dent removals places. Any recommenedations?
the guards look pretty nice, especially seeing you didnt have to get them repainted. lol it looks so much tougher in real life
one of the guys at work (with the grey s15) is getting all his dents removed with one of those places soon, ill see which place hes going to..

mind me asking where you got your wheels from and who rolled your gaurds out for you? quite keen to do mine as well
mind me asking where you got your wheels from and who rolled your gaurds out for you? quite keen to do mine as well
I bought the wheels from mxfly (eugene). I highly recommend him. Anthony at drift racing industries did the rolling.
A few more updates:
The drop in boost was found to be a slipping clutch, so I've since replaced with it with and Exedy HD clutch - no more boost drops :)
I have also upgraded the front brakes to four pot R32 Skyline items. Pulls up much better now. The tein superstreets have been replaced with zeal fucntion coilovers to allow for a lower ride height - thanks scandrew.

Onto styling, I've whipped on a front lip and sprayed canned it. Eventually I'll get it sprayed properly with my front bar. For the rear, I purchased a carbon style rear garnish. I'm still 50/50 about the looks of it.

The car has changed abit over the past year and I'm quite content with how it is currently. Time to start saving for some nice seats :)
I like the carbon rear garnish.
This car is just awesome hotness!
I hadnt seen it around for a while though, and now i dont work at the same place anymore, so no more perving on it :P
Looks amazing, I'm usually not a fan of the type x wing, but it looks pretty good on your car. Nice transformation ;)
lower the back a bit more and get some 15mm bolt ons :D

The rear extension is a nissan factory option. I was lucky enough to pick up a second hand set on the forums in red. They do pop up form time to time on NS and ebay. There was set on ebay the other day (minus centre piece)
Beautiful example of a Type X, love it mate!

i think that set is still for sale on ebay, shame it doesn't have the center piece.
Another update
Most of these updates are aesthetical. Here we go!
Picked up a pair of 25mm bolt on spacers so that the wheels could fill out the guards. This effectively makes the rears a 10" -3. Fits quite nicely with a a few mm between the guard and the tyre.
http://img83.imageshack.us/img83/8097/17660336lt3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
Took the car to the JDMST dent day (big thanks for felixR for organising the day) to remove that nasty dent in the quarter panel. Unfortunately not all of it could be removed, but it is heaps better than before. It's not as noticeable
http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/7384/46879098oh5.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
This is the end result when a 180 tries to take on a fence :)
http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/9889/79122952bj7.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
http://img125.imageshack.us/img125/7641/51941278ph3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)
My handbrake didnt fully engage, so the car rolled a good 40m down my street and collected a fence at the bottom of the cul de sac. It could have been worse, either collecting a parked car or a brick fence. The funny thing is i thought my car was stolen as it wasnt outside. So i ran frantically outside to look for it, only to find it backed up into the fence down the street. A bit of relief haha
So i though it would be an appropriate time to repsray the faded front bar, homejob painted lip and fix up t the damage from hitting the fence.
With inspiration of cableties car, i decided to put some front splitters on. Managed to pick them up for 50 bucks hehe. I think they protude out too far, so i will get around to realigning them so that they dont stick out as much.

Looking good Harry!
You made the wrong decision Steven. Should've choose the Type Xs :P
Joking.
Hot Type X man. Size and offset are sweet. Although, at the rear with your new 25mm spacers, the rims dont sit flush with the guards. Or are you going for that look that I've seen drifters rockin where the tyres sit outside the guards?

It's the wheel that is sitting sticking out of the guard, he has strectched the tyre's :P
The car looks great, I'm a big fan. I've always been a fan of the Silvia coupe shape S13 -> S15, however between both yours & Nebs Type X/180 my opinions definately swaying :P .
That's unfortunate bout the fence incident, but a good excuse to tidy up the exterior.
Note to self, always leave the car in gear!

So, you stretched the tyre + camber so the whole package would fit under the guards at that height? Ahh! cool!
Sexual car.
Definitely my pick of the Silvia family in terms of looks.

Hehe, I still like the Silvia more. I'm in the middle of picking up more parts so I can finish off my Silvia just the way I want it to be. Hopefully it'll be somewhat unique/personal :).
This red car is very nice but it needs to go lower. The wider and more stretched you make the wheels/tyres the more sensitive the looks become in regards to height. You'll be suprised how low you can get it while keeping it practical. There is a fine line to tread! It probably only needs 10mm to do it, there isn't much in making them look good using stance :).
