Cappuccino

Here are some pics of my cappuccino only mods i have so far are a cat back exhaust with a i think 4 inch xforce muffler and a pod filter, i pretty bought it like that, i then added 6x9s, autotechinca steering wheel and autometer boost gauge. She is currently running 10psi for now until i can get some cash to do some mods. I have a r34 gt-t intercooler seating in the shed which i will be using as a front mount

Here are the pics...i really do need to get new ones.

Nice... and how were you able to drive a Turbo on ya Greens?

Cappuccino
19-06-07, 09:34 PM
i got my ps prior to the law coming, which is good because my older brothers drive turbos as well, but on a plus note the cappuccino and the copen are the only turbo cars exempt from the laws.

Shiri

It's funny that Honda City Turbos were on the list and Cappuccinos and Copens were exempt if you ask me...

Welcome! Nice to finally see a Cap owner on the forums. I'm planning on moving on from my EG at the end of the year onto one of these.

Do you find servcing hard? The only thing that held me back in buying a yellow one in Melbourne in this time last year was the tapping problems of the IAC valve... I rang around Suzuki specialists and never got a straight answer.

Cappuccino
19-06-07, 09:50 PM
ive got the tapping IAC valve some dw40 and shes fine. I do all the oil/oil filter changes myself only problem i had was one i first bought it, who ever last did the service tighten the bolt to tight and i needed a new washer, apart from the she runs like a dream, can be squashy at times when trying to getting under the car. Only thing i need is some new brake pads. When you do purchase one there is a common problem with the rear pads sticking to the discs, all you need is to grease up the caliper pistons and there fine.

Shiri
19-06-07, 09:59 PM
I did know about the sticky pad problem... The one I was looking at didn't seem to suffer from braking issues, it was just the tapping that stopped me buying it. Surely that WD40 trick is only a temporary fix?

Hows aftermarket support on these guys?

Guys in england do that trick and havent had a problem... its not as serious as it sounds i havent even done the wd40 trick and been ticking for over a year that ive owned it and its done approx 134000km and havent had any issues.

Inregards to aftermarket support parts can be hard to find in aus, best option is get parts front japan england or nz, but then again being a turbo isnt to hard to modify.

go little cars!

description of the handle, go kart for the street you can feel excatly wat the back end is doign because your rear end is on it.... and stock suspenion is that hard on some parts of the hume hwy, parramatta rd and canterbury you cant actually speed because u will hit your head on the roof :P

Having driven my brothers modified r34 gt-t and his new evo 9 plus other brothers 180sx type x and other numerous cars, the cappuccino is just one fun car to drive and being a t - top, targa top and full convertible nothing is better in summer.

With 48odd rwkw and weighing only 730odd kg it surpises a few na boys.

Love it. What a cool car, it's sop small and light that it rebels in the general direction of cars. It can do things that most heavy cars on the road just can't do. I am sure it feels unlike most cars out there due to it's size and weight. I need to try one. Nice one man! :) Massive thumbs up from me.

Finally got myself some new mirrors for the cappa... didnt take long to install i just had to modify the mirror slighty (no chance i was gonna drill into the door) Ive also got sparco pedals to go on but it is way to hot today to do it.

Anyway here are some pics, i would love peoples opinions good or bad. This will be the last exterior/interior mod i do, going to concerte more on making it quicker

Would have high KM's unless you rebuild the enigine? I dont think they would cost much. its very little...

Cappuccino
15-11-07, 07:27 PM
you would be surpised most of them dont tend to be high keys a majority of people tend to use them as weekenders....ive only got 144ks and its a 92 model which isnt bad.

nice car you have there, always loved these Cappuccinos, actually had a look at one when i was something like 15

but its amazing how well these cars have kept their value, they basically haven't depreciated at all

o.t just wondering whats your opinion on other cars in the similar class such as the Copen or Beat

Cappuccino
20-11-07, 09:53 AM
Copen you cant tell whether its the front or the back!!! and its fwd, from what ive been told about the beats they pretty dam good and being mid rear, also the mazda az 1 (i forget the suzuki name for it) goes pretty well, has the same engine as the cappa, but is mid rear and has awesome gull wing doors!

To be honest ive never seen a honda beat or mazda az 1 in person.... seen a couple of copens but yeh there really isnt to many performance kei class cars out there.

machalel
20-11-07, 11:57 AM

Dude remeber the picture i MMS'ed you? It was a purple done up Cappa on Norton street. Well i seen him drive into my work complex and he had one crazy turbo setup in it. While he was just creeping up the drivway i can hear the turbo just winding like a supercharger. so loud. Then he took off with a heavy foot and it just..WOOSH disappeared!

Whats the plan for yours engine wise? Because your KM's are clocking up. Or is it fine at the moment?

Cappuccino
23-11-07, 07:24 PM
ive only got 145ks on the clock quite good considering its a 92 model....future plans included coilovers, had a look underneith and the suspenion is looking a bit tired..... i was planing on getting new tyres but needed a new water pump and also brake master cylinder....performance wise i wanna get the exhurst done from the turbo to the cat, front mount which is sitting at home somewhere just waiting to be put in and boost controller and run 14-15psi.

Once i get a 2nd car then i will consider a full engine re build and possibly hi flow the turbo.

Could of posted those in the Suzuki Cappuccino thread =(

You're gonna need around 30+ if you want it to sit flush. I remember inspecting a pair of BBS Spokes (LM's I think) on a Silver cap down here and they looked increadible, they were 15" too.

thats what i was thinking, cause the stock 14s are +45 so i was thinking between +30 - +40 on 15x6 or 15x6.5

Thanks for the comments guys! But dam it's been awhile since I have updated this thread lol umm reason why it's hard to get in and out off is because of the fixed bucket or else it's actually easier than a na mx5 probably because the cappa has an adjustable steering column.

But yeh it's very unique and you don't believe the size until you see I know I couldn't believe how small it was before i bought it
