I have 2 x 12inch Sony subs in the back 400 RMS each, attached to a Sound Stream 1000 RMS amp. With Sony 4 ways in the back doors and Sony splits in the front, which run of another Sound Stream 4 chanel amp. I managed 137.5 DB in the comp, I have been told to do better I need a better and bigger sub box. But what I really would like to do is have the subs fibre glassed in to the back door with the correct air space for max sound, and the amps put under a false floor with a glass viewing panel.http://a7.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/316134_10150337269796845_609746844_8402749_1368044 233_n.jpg

more like better subs... there are quite a few subs out there that would love 500rms each and would go heaps better imo.. or sound heaps better...

Forget a bigger sub or a bigger sub box.

You need some better subs. No offence, but Sony is far from quality...

(far far farrrr from it)

Other than that, cute car :D

I disagree, the sound I get form the Sony's is very clear and sounds great! Considering they are also slimline subs I think pulling a 137.5 DB for a 1st time out was pretty good, you also have to think about how much $$$ you have to spend. I guess most of my $$$ went in to the amps, now I just want to get the engine tweeked! Thats how I ended up here, I did a search for a supercharger for a Nissan Cube and a guy sold one from here. I need to find out where I can get one, it's an IMPUL bolt on kit for Cube's, plus I need to improve the brakes and handling with some sway bars?

Thats good that it does what you need and to your ears it sounds good.

But not trying to be rude or anything, give your ears the chance one day to listen to some better gear such as something from Image Dynamics, Digital Designs, Morel etc. You will go back to your Sony's and it will sound like an iphone :P

Then again, at the end of the day, yes, money money money, and it seems like your more after spl then sql anyway, so all good.

btw, car needs moar low :)

Or more high...

I have always wondered what one of these cars would look like done up more "offroad" style. Like with some more chunky tyres etc. since it already has that boxy jeep look, im sure it could pull off a mini 4wd style... maybe haha.

I'd love to pick one of these things up as a daily when money allows.

I hear dat.
I went from rampage to alpine type s 12"s.. that was a huge difference.. and by god my type s's loved me... 450rms each one (stating max rms.. not actual power supplied obviously)... they doofed like never before. And once i can pay off this goddamn amp which i never have the funds to pay off, i'll have 900rms purely for one... so i might need to upgrade.. xD

But yes, stoog is right, if you upgraded to something a little more up the market, you'd be surprised how much better it'd sound... also, i heard breaking 140db with twin 12"s was easily achievable with type s's... i know the loudest (or so i've heard) car in tas has twin s's.. that little laser running around called flea. want to see for myself... want.. to..... seeeeeeeeehear.

but yes, consider an upgrade, your ears will most likely love you. etc etc etc.. talking about car audio on a jdm forum... silly me, i have a car audio forum for that xD but yes, if you aren't sold, go have a listen... see what you think, after all, if it doesn't sound good to you, don't buy it. it's how you buy speakers.
