Hey guys, i'm new to the forums and you guys have been keeping me up all night till 3-4am reading up build threads and i figured i should do the same back to you! I've got nothing really fantastically special but figured should keep you guys entertained.

I bought a Black Honda Jazz 2006 VTI-S in Jan 2011 to use for uni purposes and had alot of fun with it since it was my first car.
This is when i first got her with the f-ugly RJR rims (my vomit vomitted a little every time i look at those rims).

I figured 'WTH' i need to get rid of those rims fast, and looked on ozhonda day in and day out for a set of nice enkei rims. Found one in relatively good condition enkei RP01! Fitted the rims with Kumho Ku31 and onto my car it went.

Months past and I was debating on whether to continue modifying my jazz, knowing that theres only that much potential to it. I wanted something with a lil power, but handling was definitely more important to me. Decided to bite the bullet and put the car on carsales, after about 2 months of entertaining at least 10 buyers (ps: if buyers come and look at your car and tells you that you have a small scratch on your boot or some nick here and there, you shouldnt expect too much from them. People who buy cars but don't know what they are looking at deserves to be shot lol. My point is, with Jazzes --> look at the automatic CVT transmission first, which is the first thing to go on these cars).

Car was sold and in the mean time, i spent night after night thinking bout what cars to buy. Had my eyes set on a couple of R34 GT-Ts, test drove about 3-4 of them, loved the power, but they felt like tanks. Was at Dr.Drift one day and overheard a few drifters chatting about and asked them what they thought bout skylines etc. They said its a 'fun' car to drive if you don't mind your car kicking its rear out now and then, which was a no-no for me. Went back on carsales, checked out other cars, and finally decided to try out some Boxer-AWDsomeness. (this was my childhood dream car brand). I didn't really know how to drive manual at that time and got my mate to test drive it for me, it felt nice and comfortable and stable. When i finally mustered enough courage to try out one myself ( after nights of practising with their cars hehe. ), i was blown away (more or less), the car feels so different from the R34, slightly more nimble, abit less power, but more friendly to drive. I was sold, i bought the car that i test-drove. The jazz got sold the night around July 2011 ( had the car for 6 months lol, my parents werent pleased), i took cold hard cash and drove it all the way north to secure my bug-deal. =]

When i first got her =]

My First Mod. PS: There's no point denying it, you will mod your car, so might as well do it within 24 hours of getting my ride =] [Don't give me th "I will never mod my car" crap lol]

The ugly 2002 bug tail lights has to go, makes the car looks old and lack the Fresh feeling (Ahhhhh)

Was thinking of buying a Fujitsubo RM-01A catback for my bug but i came upon a good deal, $400 for a HKS silent Hi-power catback (for GC8)

http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/9051/img2291q.jpg (http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/100/img2291q.jpg/)

Owner said they would fit, but they didnt, with the muffler over extending out of my rear bumper and the hangars don't match up. He was really nice and offered to take it back for a refund but I decided to cut it up instead. Brought over to Daaldar exhaust for them to cut it short, and although i asked them to kinda lift the muffler higher up by cutting the hangars, they kinda didnt, leaving the exhaust hanging abit low and scraping on alot of carpark entrances. I'm unsure now as to what to do:
1) should i go somewhere else and cut the exhaust again and lift it up?
2) Get a STi Genome exhaust? (I feel the HKS has a nice rumble to it, but when i try and turbo it, doesn't gives the really nice loud tone to it - hence the silent Hi-power i guess..)
Some opinions would be appreciated =]

Oh-Oh and i painted my rims Gloss black with VHT paint (i think). Turns out awesome.
Also, for the subbie boys, Got myself a Prodrive front lip (replica -sorry, i'ma student, promise i'll buy genuine next time!) and a Sti style front grille.

Found a really good price (Thanks Ben from wrx.com.au) for a nice 1 piece fujitsubo RM01A catback and just couldnt help myself but buy it the day i saw it advertised. Got all excited and went home, only to find that my trolley jack is broken =[. Had to wait to Sunday before i went out to attempt to fix the jack by adding more hydraulic oil, didnt work so decided to screw it and get a brand new SCA 2T trolley jack =]. Spent 2 hours getting the car up and on stands and taking out my old HKS, only to find that my fujitsubo is too long to fit as well ([email protected](*#!(%[email protected](#*(!)@[email protected]#(*!&@)%!2328189). I've no idea why and how but both my HKS and fujitsubo seems to be longer when they're all suppose to fit WRX 01-07...zzzz.. called up Daaldar exhaust again on Monday and went in the same day to had it cut, weld and fitted. Got a discount as well since i'm "regular" now haha. [If you guys need any exhaust-related work, highly recommend them, just say Damien with the All Blacks WRX recommended you haha]. Alright enough babbling here are the pics.

looking good, nice neat little mods you've mod.

i always thought that you need to update the rear bumper to accommodate the little 'tear drop' of the 03-05 taillights??

in regards to the exhaust, either get a STi genome, or another after market oval muffler. Round cannon mufflers look crap on impreza's I reckon, they sit way too low IMO. The genome somehow pulls it off nicely though, it's the only 'cannon' style that suits them I reckon.

I had an aftermarket cannon on mine, sounded good but I never liked the way it sat.

14-11-11, 03:06 AM
Yeah will most likely get rid of it soon, I want a sti genome ! But they are so hard to find . every time I scrape my exhaust I get a "stupid exhaust" stare from the gf haha.
Oh ya and the bottom part of the tails don't sit flush with the exhaust, but honestly u can never tell till u put ur hand under it, sprayed water on it hard and there wasn't any leakage as well. Will get pics to show after my exams next week =]

14-11-11, 06:43 PM
nice bug! keep it neat

yeah defs look for a rear bar of an 03-05 to suit the taillights makes it look that much better!

other then that just keep it simple

go hit up rexnet for a few diy's and heaps of ideas lol

15-11-11, 12:28 AM
Yeah gonna keep it simple but it's so hard to make a Subaru JDM style =[ . Bumpers gonna kinda be my last few mods cause its not really noticeable..the moddings gonna start soon after exams this Wednesday!

15-11-11, 06:07 PM
Nice and clean Bugeye! don't have to do much to it, looks good the way it is.

09-12-11, 11:01 PM
Just dropped off my car for air con repairs this week, should get her back tmr after $980 worth of TX valve repair. But I got 2 more new mods coming up by Sat, stay tuned!

New Updates!

16-12-11, 09:26 AM
Get a STI v2 Front lip, best lip ever for a bug.

My old bug below with it :)

16-12-11, 04:18 PM
hmmmmmm tempting! btw, how did u get the pink subbie badge on the front grille? just double sided tape it?

16-12-11, 04:20 PM
another bug owner looks good man :)
Was the koji mod difficult and what did you use to house the indicator bulb in the headlights

16-12-11, 04:34 PM
It came with the adhieve already just peel off and stuck it on.

Will be hard to find it, normally the pink badge is the "i" logo only, OEM is the stars in pink

16-12-11, 05:33 PM
to be honest, i read the koji mod and didnt understand a thing, so i just got some PVC pipes, cut it up into rings the height of the indicator bulbs, sprayed it black and looped it around the bulb and stuck it with silicon glue haha...so it looks a lil bit weird...hmm i think i shld get the pink badge, looks much better on the car with it..

Just 2 pictures to keep you guys entertained, got more stuff coming in soon!
