Names Gilbert! But you can call me Gil for short :)

So as a few of you guys know~ I picked up an MX-5 recently (on the 11/11/11) and this is MY first car, as in my own, manual and RWD and also MX-5's have been my dream car for a while. I don't wanna be blabbering too much but for me I've understood that true fun comes out of it's handling aspects and it's not all about speed sometimes and I've always had a dream of building a responsive N/A beast and being a P-plater I'm limited to cars that interest me and I never wanted to follow the pack of the VTEC boys with the usual Civics and Integras. Not saying they're bad or anything like that but RWD was the way to go and because hairdresser [-Stoogey] I reckon for the price I paid it is an absolute bargain :)

So a bit of quick info on the car is.. It was advertised as a 1997 NA8C with a Montego Blue color but a bit of looking around and researching I realised it's actually a 1996 B2-Limited in a Twilight Blue Mica color which is still okay since they started manufacturing in December and only 1,000 were made. Enough talking now~ Pictures are much better than words (Sorry for crappy phone pics)

Before I picked the car up and brought it home.. Had bat sh*t and all other stuff all over it as it settled at their home for quite a while because it was never registered.

Filling her up on the way home. She's also got blue bulbs and headlights~ So not like HID's but they're fine :)

Stickers here and there I plan on removing afterwards. There's quite a few in the boot too..
http://img26.imageshack.us/img26/6664/img20111112130529.jpg
I've been told the car has been tracked and after seeing this sticker I'm sure it has been.
http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/9220/img20111112130637.jpg
Japanese petrol receipt I found in the driver side door pocket ($52 AUD for 30L's)
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/4660/img20111112130701.jpg
After giving the car a wash~ Decided to give it a full body wax.
http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/4452/img20111112135323.jpg
In the interior, I realised there was no cigarette lighter and it felt really blank and empty..
http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/2271/img20111112144858.jpg
So just looking around and I see the ashtray was pretty dirty and funky looking :S

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/4117/img20111112144911q.jpg
and unfortunately I didn't find $20 like Stoogey did.
http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/1497/img20111112144919.jpg
But after picking up the ashtray, I can hear a bit of rattling...
http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/5318/img20111112144936.jpg
Which then revealed a dirty toothpick.. some sort of ticket and the cigarette lighter~ yay.

http://img683.imageshack.us/img683/350/img20111112145117.jpg
Gave the whole interior a vacuum and a clean and the car had an airbag Momo steering wheel, pretty cool, pretty cool :D
http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/4141/img20111112165027.jpg
I don't really hold coins or smoke so I found a spot to put my phone~

It came with a pretty cool Nardi woodgrain shifter :D
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/928/img20111112165110.jpg

I'm guessing these are genuine Chrome Roadster kickplates?
http://img84.imageshack.us/img84/8537/img20111112165242.jpg
Never got the chance or managed to test out the speakers/tweeters.
http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/1341/img20111112165251.jpg
I think there were models that came with red-ish seats but I got the blue/navy edition which fits the car much better :) I like them~! Might foamectomise them or whatever you call it in the future!
http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/4282/img20111112165256.jpg
I THINK this is some sort of variation to the style bar.. Not quite sure as it's got a bar below it that goes straight across.. I don't know but the chrome never stops does it..
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/408/img20111112165407.jpg
Sadly.. The navy factory colored soft-top glass was DEMOLISHED, It was absolutely pitch black due to the tear. I hope I don't have to replace the WHOLE thing, I don't have the picture with it up; forgot to snap some when we took off the hard-top but the vinyl of the whole soft-top was good, it was just the rear plastic..

I think the last owner thought it was cool to put a white plastic stripe on top of the hard-top with super glue...? I mean in some cases it's different, but I like a clean look.

http://img85.imageshack.us/img85/4717/img20111116025356.jpg
But when I thought the car was perfect inside out..
http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/1627/img20111116025427.jpg
The transmission oil cooler started to leak, the problem is currently unknown and we're sure it's just a loose nut or either a little tear in the braided lines. Most likely a loose nut.
Bit of an oil build up.. So we think the car might be losing a bit of it's gearbox oil so we're gonna try and fix that up before changing the gearbox oil.
http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/3849/img20111116025432.jpg
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/4582/img20111116025452.jpg
and here she is all washed and waxed with her color glistening in the sun.
http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/4224/img20111112170512.jpg
The car also came with this auto engine start feature that needed a code to activate it. We were told by the owners that you need a code to start it and once started with the central locking sorta device, it needs to be turned off by the device. We were never given the code and we don't wanna play with it so we just unplugged it.
http://img43.imageshack.us/img43/1885/img20111030105121.jpg

That's pretty much the car! I'll try my best to update the car with as much updates as possible but as you've seen.. The car has quite a few things done to it already~ Some future mods would be..
-Bucket seats (Not sure which ones yet)
-New Rims (Maybe RS Watanabe's or some sort of dish, no meshies)
-Garage Vary Lip
-CAI pipe
-Soft top rear plastic window replacement
-New head-unit
-New shiftknob
-Project G sideskirts
-Replace most of the chrome
-Jenvey/Maruha/Fuji ITB's (In the ULTIMATE long run)

Just a few on my head for now, maybe more stuff here and there later on but haven't really thought about it as much!

So after sitting in the car with it on.. Me and my brother realised that there was a sort of high pitch, cricket type noise that the clutch was emitting and would go away if the clutch was depressed just slightly. Bit of research shows that it was the clutch slave cylinder which just needed some lubing.. mmyes.. Lubing.

So off with the wheels with just a few snaps of the camber kit and coilovers. Black n red.. I like dat

http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/9284/img20111119120525.jpg
Bit of uh.. Lubing.
http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/9717/img20111119120618.jpg
and she was all done! The wheels went back on..
http://img51.imageshack.us/img51/9568/img20111119120957.jpg

Turned it on and all was good! No more annoying squeeky noises and no joke.. Went to hairdressers afterwards ;)
http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/6556/img20111120093435.jpg
Both cars were taken :D The FTO looked the same size of the MX-5 due to the placement..

and then one night I decided to remove that weird stripe through the black hard-top..
It left quite a few nastiezz.

I mean there's still a few marks.. Bloody took me about 40 minutes trying to remove this stupid sticky glue.. The amount of calories lost due to intense scrubbing is off the scale. The owner really loves gluing sh*t on honestly.. You'll see what i mean..

BEHOLD! The passenger sun visor, looks normal right? Yeah it's norma- no wait~ What's that liquid? It's not water.

Yeah it's f**king velcro straps. Now I wonder what it was for? Probably to keep all his hair cutting gear there for quick access.

So i tried pulling the velcro straps. Lord jesus almighty
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/2446/img20111121021507.jpg

Y U GLUE THERE 4!? Now I had to hurt my sun visor for that :( Bit of the suede material came off..
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/199/img20111121022546.jpg

Oh yeah that should be it right? NO! He decides to glue this useless.. I DON'T KNOW. Plastic sh*t on the driver's side centre console next to the gear shifter.
http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/9250/img20111121023354.jpg
Serves no bloody purpose... He really loves gluing shit.. honestly..
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/9524/img20111121023402.jpg

I usually keep my phone in the ashtray compartment after removing it and at night time I realised there was a light there so I decided to remove the centre ashtray light. Removing the centre console I thought it would be the easiest job ever.. Not realising that the stupid plastic piece was actually glued over the top of one of the screws made me so bloody angry after 20 minutes or so of fijiting around going WTF?!?!?!? Wanting to almost pull my hair out realising there was one screw hidden underneath that plastic shit  Lets hope there aren't any other pieces glued together :???:

MX5'S ARE GAY!

Gil
22-11-11, 05:02 AM
Hay!

MX-5's are feminine in all aspects and aimed at a female audience, however they have gained popularity in recent years as the gay mans status symbol; it says 'I like to have sex with other men' and I want everyone on my street to know.
Hello, I am a gay. I own a Mazda MX5.

Yeah it's got a bit of stuff done to it, and for the price I paid for considering it's a limited edition model too was quite surprising when I looked around for prices on that same model..
Not ranging even close to what I paid for. But could it be an engine oil cooler?

I shall now dub you as the Angry Hairdresser
Just make sure I don't cut your hair, because if that fails. I'll just glue it all back on :)

Thanks! :) Yeah, it was a private import. It has never been registered so we would be the first owner on the road pretty much.
It was only taken out to track days once or twice a year as the guy lived over in Japan, the other times it would just sit underneath their tree in the backyard.

Mx5 meet up?!
Maybe *cough* Just gotta wait till umm, I get my greens ;)

I have such a soft spot for MX5's enjoy the ride.
They're great cars! :)

So whenever I drive with my brother in the passenger seat late at night supervising me ;) :D
I just have this sort of mentality that I need to get everything serviced before actually driving it long distances etc.
The engine oil is at the correct level but the fluids everywhere are unknown.. The other day I was checking the radiator bottle..

NOTHING! was in there, it shocked me :O So water went in and will be picking up some coolant soon, after finding that out and knowing it had a little leak..
It made me feel like there were lots of things wrong with the car that I didn't know about.. Maybe it's just me but I've never driven a manual before and things like whether or not shifting should be that hard/rough etc.

So a major service is coming soon, stuff like the leads, spark plugs, engine oil, diff oil, gearbox oil.. All fluids!
Anything we can do ourselves we'll do and I was thinking of taking the car to MX-5 Mania to do a major service taking out the things both me and my brother already did?
Things like belts and all. Just never had experience with them, all the way at Galstones too. Guess after the service I'll just take it there and hopefully not get my subframe into a gutter and flip.
LOLjks, nah not yet :)

They're good. But some would say expensive, maybe? I like the owner, David. I always end up chatting to him for hours while he's working on my car. But not about MX5's. I always want to talk about MX5's (cause I'm still learning about them), and I start out talking about MX5's, but somehow we always end up talking about Go-karting, or renovations, or anything other than MX5's.

LOL! I was thinking of doing one.. Not sure on what to do though!

Dural. Closer than Galston. lol.

I see, that's the thing, we'll try to save money by doing things we can simply do ourselves such as spark plugs and a few fluids and all but I guess if they specialise in MX-5's I'm sure they know what they're doing :)
So spending a little money to keep the car healthy isn't a problem! Don't wanna be doing a clutch change in Cabramatta next to a petrol station *cough cough* NAH I'm kidding :) But yeah if it's to make the life longer in top condition, it's worthit.
When I go, I'll ask for David and say Wilch sent me :) Not sure if he knows you by Wilch.. but yeah. Sounds like a cool guy :D

Hey, I've had a idle air problem in an R32 Skyline fixed by a "backyard mechanic" (was at an actual shop) in Cabramatta before. lol. Was expecting a bunch of problems, but got it diagnosed and fixed in 1 hour :O. Didn't even have to wait.

I'm running 15x8+25, 15x7+26, and have plenty of room. They sit nice though, no chance of damaging the guards at all.

But sometimes I wish they were all 15x8+15 or +10. There's so much room under the guards of these cars.

I love the idea of flares, just don't wanna be bolting onto the body :( I shall think about it!

I have no idea if its a phase, but when I just got my mx5 I just browsed through thousands of photos of mx5's with so and so mods, and practically liked all of them and decided to incorporate all of it on the one car. After a week or two, I realised it was just a phase and decided to go with my favourite mods first then I'll see if the other things kick in later, which they didn't.

I liked the flares thing as well, but I like clean cars as opposed to changing all of it up. It looks too busy sometimes, if you get what I mean. But get these if you wan't them http://rev9autosport.com/na/jubiride-fender-flares.html?options=cart (my pick). The AWR flares look alright, but I hate how its blended in, just makes the car look out of proportion. But first, just find a set of wheels you'd like to run, then worry about the flares thing.

Since your car colours pretty dark, I'd prefer to run the GV lip as opposed to the OEM one. The OEM will be pretty hard to spot since it just blends in with the colour.

Sideskirts, meh they look okay but I don't think they are that worth it.

But its up to you really
Oh.. you don't know how much MX-5 pics I've got.. AHHAHHA! I honestly look through them a lot when I'm bored or waiting for something. The flares are a thing! I love them,
but as you said, wheels come first. I got an offer for Sportmax 513's; dished ones but I'm not quite sure about that.. Black with silver polished lip.
Really need some ideas on some proper wheels! No Rota's! :) Steelies and Meshies, aren't my sorta rims

How do you find driving the mx5 as a daily?

Gil
30-11-11, 04:27 AM
So I've been away for a few days, my cable for my phone and stuff got misplaced in luggage etc.

So quickly onto the updates. About three days ago.. A box came.
http://img18.imageshack.us/img18/9388/img20111125192139.jpg
http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/575/img20111125192148.jpg

Just a few service thang a dangz :D
http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/3989/img20111126162838.jpg
http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/1970/img20111125192259.jpg
http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/6024/img20111125192329.jpg

So the next day, downstairs we went. We wanted to do the gearbox oil first as that was something we've never done before. (We as in me and my brother)

First thing before we got our hands dirty, I put on our new G's indicator.
http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/4895/img20111126141430.jpg
Too bad it'll never fly towards the back of the car :( Only side to side and forward under hard braking.

The car needed a bit of jackin' ;D
http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/4149/img20111126131845.jpg

The underpan needed to be taken off. So off it went.
http://img15.imageshack.us/img15/3899/img20111126122701.jpg
http://img412.imageshack.us/img412/743/img20111126122708.jpg
http://img831.imageshack.us/img831/6820/img20111126122741.jpg

It had some oil over it from the oil filter as it was leaking. We found the source of the leak, it was just in between the filter and the end holding it together.
Seems that the filter wasn't put on right or was just old.

So I gave it a little wash, seeing as we want to fix this problem and not have it leak again.
So might as well clean it while its out.
http://img840.imageshack.us/img840/8574/img20111126124405.jpg

Bit of degreaser, soap and a nice sponge. We left it to dry in the sun while we worked on other bits of the car.
http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/8613/img20111126131900.jpg

So to give more working room, we decided to remove the intake.
http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/9969/img20111126124413.jpg
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/1993/img20111126125051.jpg

and it had a Blitz pod :D
http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/3904/img20111126131819.jpg

and to our discovery... The old owner rushed putting it back on and tightened the the clamp too tightly and/or unevenly.
Causing..
http://img802.imageshack.us/img802/789/img20111126125104.jpg
http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/9132/img20111126125124.jpg
http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/5521/img20111126125145.jpg

So I guess a bit of the airflow wasn't going in right. Trying to pull it back and clamp it again was hard..
So we had degreaser to clean the underpan and we figured a solution.
http://img32.imageshack.us/img32/6417/img20111126133429.jpg
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/998/img20111126133436.jpg
Yiyeah! HAHAHA. We just left it aside and let it settle in a bit.

The oil filter that was leaking..
http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6216/img20111126132133.jpg

The goodies.
http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/843/img20111126162814.jpg

So oil went into the pumper bottle.
http://img716.imageshack.us/img716/7209/img20111126162914.jpg

So we jacked the car up and did the gearbox change, the drain and fill plug came off easy with a breaker bar, smelly old black oil came out..
http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/4607/img20111126165541.jpg
So the tube goes in..
http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/4118/img20111126164453.jpg
and the pumping beings :D
http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/2253/img20111126164515.jpg

While underneath the car, there were a bunch of rocks in the control arms I think it was. Must have been gravel trap rocks from the previous owner taking it to the track.
http://img844.imageshack.us/img844/6945/img20111126162731.jpg
There were a lot more and I guess that was responsible for the random rocks flicking up to the chassis when we were driving.

Some random ass plug in the front end..
http://img694.imageshack.us/img694/7443/img20111126163240.jpg
http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/6765/img20111126163247.jpg

So after the gearbox underneath was done, we needed to do the turret under the shifter which revealed a ripped boot.
http://img20.imageshack.us/img20/8199/img20111126184320.jpg
Should be fine as we'll fix that soon.

The other thing that was left was the engine oil so down we went again to drain the old oil out!

and the nut had few pieces of metal on it I think so gave that a quick clean :)
http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/101/img20111126162639.jpg

Our magnetic rod made things much easier!
http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/2545/img20111126162702.jpg

Now was the hardest bit of all.. The oil filter, it sounds pretty easy but our old oil filter wrench didn't fit.
It was just a TAD too small honestly. We could ALMOST get it in, it was on the rim and just wouldn't fit over..
So we had to use our hands to twist it off and we FOUGHT and FOUGHT and FOUGHT, especially on a round surface.. There was no grip at all.
Honestly don't know why the old owner tightened it so much.. Hand tightened was all you honestly needed.
So after a good 30 minutes of using our hands, we said, we don't need this old filter anyway so after banging it with a hammer and squeezing it with an open vice grip.
It resulted in a pretty nice oil filter.
http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/4879/img20111126191136.jpg
http://img819.imageshack.us/img819/3718/img20111126191131.jpg
and as you can see in the background from the picture above.. Yeah a bit of Royal Purple was spilt.
Brother thought it was a good idea to leave an open bottle behind my foot 3 CM's away.

and off it was!
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/6958/img20111126181135.jpg

Easy bit was putting it on :) So on the new one went!
http://img233.imageshack.us/img233/3046/img20111126191147.jpg
http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/1191/img20111126191151.jpg

So that was all, we cleaned up, packed up and went for a test drive :) Everything was running smooth and brother said it was a bit more responsive and smoother.
We did buy spark plugs but we wanted to do it after the spark leads came in just in case it was a bit faulty the leads so that will come another day.
Got home, rested a bit and it was getting late so we decided to "foamectomise" our seats.

Off the seats went! More Jap stuff underneath the seat! We found 100 yen, and some chewing gum..
http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/3183/img20111126212135.jpg
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/1143/img20111126212145.jpg
http://img141.imageshack.us/img141/9563/img20111127182019.jpg
Wonder if it's safe to eat...

Didn't get to get pictures of the process but if you guys need a guide, we haven't done the passenger side yet so I'll probably put that one up later when we do :)

It's as easy as taking the seat out, taking out about 15 hog rings and bam; the foam just slides out.
http://img849.imageshack.us/img849/6628/img20111126214526.jpg

Tuck the flap back in and cable tie the holes and you get instant buckityness :D
http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/1974/img20111126214534.jpg

This badass helped us do the job taking out those old rings!
http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/6278/img20111126214548.jpg

Well it's good to know that the car is in a proper condition with proper fluids. We also flushed out the coolant and replaced it with new one so that's good too :)
I guess next is spark plugs and leads which is an easy swap :D

Higher revs sounds like a Honda :( HAHAHA.

So I decided to take off the hardtop by myself today, quite a mission but was accomplished :)

But first thing first was... still trying to remove that super glue the old owner had a fetish of.. Angry hairdresser is angry.

Could never get it off.. Will buy a clay bar soon, was really close to buying one but remember I stored one whole untouched bar somewhere.. Just gotta find it.

There were a few stickers including a Denso one and BC Racing coilover stickers in the boot, I like a clean look so I removed them.
They were pretty big.

http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/4775/img20111201205746.jpg

What I wanted to ask you guys was..

Is it possible to just remove the rear plastic window piece? That's the only thing that's damaged.

The vinyl is in great condition, all the mechanics work, all the hinges and clips work all great it's just that plastic window..

Would really love to get it fixed for summer as the black hard top sure is good for security and all but it's summer and the top down feeling would be nice :)

My window cracked in half on a freezing cold night because I was too lazy to unzip it :-( so I cut the window out and duct taped a big sheet of vinyl over the whole back section, tucking it under the top section. No one could tell that it wasn't original except mx5 guys, but I was really unhappy with it just because it wasn't perfect. After 6 months I got around to getting a whole new roof from the UK and my god it refreshed the car! It made the body look whiter and all around cleaner and newer

I'll see if I can dig up some pics of the quick fix.

Sorry about the rant.

Not bad huh? But then again it's from the US so shipping is probably quite a bit seeing as four boxes of rims won't be cheap!

Didn't you grab yours from the states for cheap shipped Rob? I don't know! Looks great! Not sure if I should get the Wideopens!

Shipping will not be very much. mine were $600 shipped, I think you will be looking at about the same.

Depends what sort of style. You want, I think they only look good if your going to lower it a significant amount, a spacer wouldn't hurt either

Has been the reason why I haven't uploaded this thread in a while! My overseas trip to Vietnam for almost two months now has been such a long time..
But my brother's been in Australia and has been doing a bit of work to the MX-5.

We originally had lots planned before I left for Australia and that it would be done by the time I come back but lots of small problems arose here and there so it was unable to be finished!

So arriving home and being home for about two days, on the third day.. I head down to the MX-5 to find this..

My V nose badge
http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/8950/img20111030104818.jpg
and my green roadster badge was taken from the car in broad daylight at about 5pm
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/3616/img20111112165508.jpg

and that's not all..
http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/9545/c36020120128190052.jpg

The FTO's badges were taken as well.. Upon reversing out of my drive-way, I've noticed three Honda's lost their badges, a Lexus IS200 lost both and a Subaru had lost it's front as well.

It's sick what people would do to other peoples properties; not a single soul saw, they may have but did nothing about it which is frustrating because all you can do is suck it up, clean it up, buy new badges or leave it and move on.

So I quickly got over that as I was planning to debadge the Blueberry to give it a clean look but wanted to keep the badges as they were limited edition ones.

Feeling nice and calm, I bought myself a broadway mirror and went downstairs to install it and came down to this...

http://img208.imageshack.us/img208/7958/c36020120201201435.jpg

Sticky candle-wax like shit on the passenger rear panel... Sigh, more shit to deal with, sure they're small shit but one shit after the other just sorta ticks me off.
Had to get sponges and some cleaning compound to get it off, it was stuck like glue.. Just like the old owner sticking weird stuff all over the place.

Now that was some of the bad news.. Before I actually left for my trip, we did a few things here and there.

Off to MX-5 Mania we went.

A can of coke is fine to shift with but when you got a large maccas coke, you gotta change your shifting patterns, bit weird.

So that was the first trip before Christmas, off to MX-5 Mania we went again a while after!
http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/8609/img20111219124049.jpg

Got a few goodies this time
http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/4979/img20111219130106.jpg
A new shift boot, a boss kit, spark leads and a fuel filter.

First up was the plugs and sparkies that we didn't get to change before.

The old ones were getting bit worn out
http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/5435/img20111219190527.jpg
http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/6109/img20111219191026.jpg

In went the new ones. The places we've been to ran out of Magnecores AND NGK's, so we had to get factory ones.

http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/7999/img20111219190445.jpg

I'm sure they still all work and spark the same, as long as the spark plugs are good then it should be fine.

So after that, we gave it a quick test drive and it was surprisingly more responsive and felt a lot more better. Didn't know they'd make that much of a difference!

After that, we were hyped about putting on our Nardi!
So we went to work on that straight away~
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/6521/img20111219180154.jpg

While that was being done, the shift boot was quickly put in, not old and worn out anymore, it'll match the Nardi well :)
http://img820.imageshack.us/img820/5692/img20111219180217.jpg

Now looking at the clockspring.. I was like hmm.. Somethings not right..
http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/9253/img20111219181203.jpg

http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/981/img20111219183039o.jpg
Bam it didn't sit flush.

http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/5792/img20111219183045.jpg
The airbag cables were in the way! We were contemplating on snapping off the airbag cables but we said nah, incase we do wanna resell, we're gonna need those cables.

So we left it and contacted MX-5 Mania to sort us out a new boss kit. I was gone while this was happening and 2-3 weeks after, it came.

My brother tried it again, bam didn't sit flush AGAIN! We marked it out and this was getting frustrating now.. So we're gonna angle grind it straight off.
Sure it's in another box so we thought it would be airbag compatible.
http://img213.imageshack.us/img213/9499/c36020120202172855.jpg

It didn't work well and we were sad.. Back on went the normal steering wheel.

My brother also ordered an adapter to fit the Kenwood double din but waiting for about 4 weeks and it not coming we really think it's gone!

More and more frustrating things keep popping up and us realising that the adapter isn't gonna come, we just brought it to a workshop to get it sorted out.
and in it was after such a long time. Our old stereo kept spitting ALLL CD's and radio frequencies could only pick up Japanese channels.
http://img696.imageshack.us/img696/7806/img20120118wa0000q.jpg
Finally have some music to listen to and we can finally test the speakers!

They're not absolutely crazy and they're not absolutely bad either! Better than nothing but rattles :)

Still gotta get this sorted .___.
http://img830.imageshack.us/img830/1295/img20111215144908.jpg

We're getting rims sorted too but... That'll be a surprise for later ;)

Glad to be back and will continue to update the thread! Thanks for tuning in!

The thing that pisses me off is, I moved the car right next to my window and stayed up till pretty late before this badge got taken..

Fell asleep at about 5 am and brother has work at 6:30 am, badge was gone by then.. I do wanna get a camera and record them in the act but I do wanna smash them in the face at the same time.

There's no more badges to take and I'm sure they're aware of that so it sucks I can't wait out for them to strike again.

I don't think I'm gonna bother with anymore badges, just gonna know it's gonna get taken and shit again. The clean look isn't too bad either.
Thanks for the tip though :)

I know man, nothing but risk getting caught to hold onto a few badges that have no value.

Thanks man :) It'll be nice and proper again. Lets just hope someone doesn't come and take it all away from me...

Annoying, cause they aren't even worth that much. Well the regular ones the fucking thieves came back the second time for.

So if anyone is just by any chance looking at stuff on eBay, I've already checked, Green Roadster badge was never put up for sale so if it's spotted just let me know, it'd make me have a feeling of relief.

Time to get angry. I would buy some cheap shitty badges, put them on, wait for the person to strike (pull an all nighter, in the room in the dark.. if you can) make sure to strut the car around town or something with it on. Wait for them to come. When they get there, knock them out, call the cops, tada. Can get stuff back.

But things are never that easy, are they :(

Not really, the gold piece we marked is actually paper thin and the slot only slips onto the tooth in the center and two holes north and south.

The plate is to offer charge so that the horn works. We're thinking it won't really mess anything up seeing as we're only taking a bit off as there's plenty more coverage around the rest of the plate.

I guess we're angle grinding 1/4 of it off?

LOL!! Use it as a visor.

serious assholes in cabra these days. My silvia lightning bolt badge got taken as well from my boot, aint easy to replace it.

Shit's dirty man! Fuark, especially that badge too! Sometimes the badge isn't really the problem.

It's cleaning it, having it left with marks and damage, holes n shit, having to either replace it or forget about it and knowing some guy damaged your beloved car.

Shame about the badges mate, that sux.
Are they ao32 tyres you're running? I thought they stoped making them ages ago.

I know man, it sucks.

But yes they are A032R's :) Not sure about the production date on them but still have some good tread left!

The bad news keep coming huh!?

Ordered this..

Came in and it doesn't fit my bolt thread! I'm sure it'll fit other cars, just bad luck for me.

So today got to work on the car a bit and changed the fuel filter we never got to change from our last purchase.

Not much pics of the during as it was such a quick and easy swap over! Done in under 25 minutes from start to finish!

The car went up high!
http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/7614/c36020120204173447.jpg

and out with the old then in with the new!
http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/6369/c36020120204173517.jpg

We figured we had some time so we might as well work on the boss kit to get the Nardi to fit on!

Out came the boss kit!
http://img132.imageshack.us/img132/5578/c36020120204174217.jpg

and after a bit of grinding (with an angle grinder....) LOL! Resulted in...!

http://img832.imageshack.us/img832/2480/c36020120204180125.jpg

Ain't a pretty thing but nobody is gonna see it anyway!

So.. We got everything on, and plugged our boss kit wire into the Nardi horn and hoping for the best..
The horn was pressed and... Not a single beep was heard..

http://img846.imageshack.us/img846/6342/c36020120204180924.jpg

We wen't.. "f*#k!"

We then realised that our horn wire was actually wired through to our airbag clip.. So we decided to snip the boss kit wire and solar wire it up to a section of the horn button.
Not completely chopping off the wire to retain it's condition, it was solared to the wire and tested it flat onto the plate.

We push the button hoping for the best and... "BEEP!" It sounded good, so 10 more beeps followed!

and now the car is looking better than ever :)

http://img835.imageshack.us/img835/292/c36020120204181647.jpg

No more boring chunky steering wheel!
http://img804.imageshack.us/img804/5230/c36020120204184304.jpg

Our shift boot and steering wheel match with that leather pattern and red stitching so it looks pretty sweet.

We're not a fan of woodgrain so we'll try to get a shift knob sorted A.S.A.P.
http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/928/img20111112165110.jpg

Was also thinking about getting a Carbing Competition Shift Knob..
http://rev9auto.rev9autosport.netdna-cdn.com/media/catalog/product/cache/4/thumbnail/600x600/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/k/n/knob4_1.jpg

But know it's gonna be an @$$ on hot days.

Or even a Joyfast extension with a Titanium Shift Knob on top.
http://www.heeltoeauto.com/files/Thumbs/t1r_shiftknob_titanblue.jpg

Well for those who have been following.. I wouldn't say it's absolutely good news or something to celebrate over but..
This afternoon while doing the laundry.. I noticed two strangers come in.. and I knew straight away because our area is only accompanied by asians and having two (don't wanna say it) bogans come in and start snooping around pretending to wash their hands at the tap by my car is just too shifty. I watched for a bit and realised they seem to be interested in something inside my MX-5 and FTO? We instantly knew these were the people that have came the last three times so I'm not gonna let this fourth time slip.

I thought it was strange so I went downstairs to find them walking behind my flat snooping around like they were looking out for something..

I went upstairs to my neighbor to let him know that "they" are back. He's been wanting to deal with them since it's happened and as they were coming back to the front from behind the flat, my neighbor was just heading downstairs and just bumping into them.

They were confronted and questioned to why are they in our area snooping around in our car park and they replied with "just washing our hands". Frustrated and angered to the damage that's done to most of our property, he strikes and gets them both. Speechless and KNOWING they are wrong. They make a run for it saying sorry while he chases them. If they say sorry while running, it's clear that they know they are wrong.

I guess it either means they come back to vandalise our cars/homes or they're afraid to ever come back. Never got their names and just barely remember their faces, it was clear they were the type to frequently be under the influence of drugs!

I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Just looking for that clean, wow look to the black/red interior.

Sorta funky when I look at the interior as a whole to find a block of brown in the middle. LOL! I guess with the right interior it would be awesome; I can imagine!

But yeah man, don't want them messing with our shat anymores!

It was pretty serzz especially doing something so low like that for a couple of bucks to fill their needs when it means a thing to others.

Might be up for sale if anyone wants to snap it up :) Genuine Nardi Woodgrain... RRP $180... WTF?!

Might let it go for a lot cheaper of course!

So not really a big update or anything like that but..

Recently the MX-5 has been making quite a bit of squeeking noises whenever the steering wheel is turned and the sound was coming from the left wheel.

No idea what it was we jacked it up to see what was going on and we found out that a nut connecting to the control arm (not sure what its called) was making the noises.

This
http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/7672/c36020120211112453.jpg
Looks edible..
http://img196.imageshack.us/img196/2624/c36020120211112502.jpg

plus this
http://img803.imageshack.us/img803/1976/c36020120211112549.jpg

Equaled no more squeeks! So quick an easy fix there.

After having the Nardi in we realised that it doesn't match our shift boot. I know, I know it's such a little thing that I shouldn't worry about but I'll get it restitched soon.

Like the shift boot's stitching color is sorta pink/purplish, very hard to see on camera but it's quite clear that the Nardi's stitching is red, the good red.

http://img821.imageshack.us/img821/2873/c36020120211112345.jpg

I know it doesn't look like much of a difference but it has to be seen in person to really know.

Once that's sorted I'll be happy.

More news~ So tomorrow I'll be getting a white number plate because I personally think a small number plate should fit on a small car, the thin and white look looks much better.
and I also plan on relocating it to the side or something like that and before I do that. I have to sort something else out,

My MX-5 actually has a number plate holder and there are these bolts that I'm not familiar with, feel weird asking but does anyone know how to remove them without doing any damage?

I did have a flat head in my hand and I was giving it a bit of power.. Didn't wanna like eff it up or anything.

I think I have to take off the whole front bar to remove it.

Meh! Don't worry, I'll figure it out. More holes to deal with.

So it's been a very very busy month, making it into uni and all this car stuff getting done.

Car stuff, car stuff and more car stuff has really made me busy which was probably the reason why I wasn't updating this thread very often!

It's been a long time but the FTO has been sold so we have that out of our hands; the thing will be missed :(
http://img839.imageshack.us/img839/837/c36020120223144825.jpg

But since that was gone... A WILD POKEMON APPEARS!

http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/9503/carblur.jpg

Absolutely loving the thing <3

Anyways, throughout the month we have spotted a few things from the MX-5 such as the rocker cover leaking some oil..
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/5350/c36020120212182045.jpg
http://img651.imageshack.us/img651/8274/c36020120212182014.jpg

Must have been the seals we thought so we got that replaced and it's all coo'

Then I took off the rollbar for a few days and straight away you can feel the difference in rigity of the car! Never knew it would do that much!
Just really wanted to see how it was like without it on and it was quite horrible with all the hardtop noises and such going off.

I guess the only major change in the MX-5 is the removal of the soft-top, it wasn't really doing much for us as the window was impossible to see through;
http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/29/img20111215144846.jpg
http://img407.imageshack.us/img407/8339/img20111215144825.jpg

So we decided to remove it and clear up some weight and space, to give it that much cleaner look!

So off the rollbar and top went and the work started~
http://img828.imageshack.us/img828/5110/c36020120221171328.jpg
http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/8253/c36020120221171313.jpg

Had a feeling cramming in behind the passenger seat was gonna be a pain in the arse..
http://img269.imageshack.us/img269/6326/c36020120221171342.jpg

..so I decided to remove it and while it was out, might as well foamectomise it!
http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/3961/c36020120221172647.jpg
http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/4568/c36020120221172701.jpg

I'm pretty sure most of the 5 owners don't really need a guide for this as I'm sure they've searched it up before and it's pretty basic and easy..
But I'll just write it up anyway :) Skip if you like.

Foam ectomy (Foamectomy / Foam-Ectomy) Guide

So obviously first the seat needs to be out! Then decline it all the way to the front and you should see these hog rings.
Pliers or clippers will do the job well and you're gonna need some cable ties!
http://img193.imageshack.us/img193/5359/c36020120221172957.jpg

Just remove all of the old rusty hog rings and the flap for the seat should just flap down like so~
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/4562/c36020120221173308.jpg

Then decline the seat all the way back..
http://img577.imageshack.us/img577/4530/c36020120221173337.jpg

and grab a corner of the seat like so:
http://img829.imageshack.us/img829/5980/c36020120221173413.jpg

Pull the flap up and you should have something like this.
http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/6154/c36020120221173513.jpg

Underneath the flap is a piece of foam that is connected to more hog rings, remove these the same way you removed as ones on the back~
http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/5041/c36020120221173533.jpg
There should be about 8 or so~

After they are removed, the foam slides RIGHT out. Needs a bit of wriggling but it comes out easy peasy; lemon squeezy.
http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/5701/c36020120221174353.jpg

You should be left with a flappy materiel but no need to fear! Tuck it in the back like so:
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/7866/c36020120221174516.jpg
http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/3522/c36020120221174526.jpg

and when it's nice and tight (no pun) just cable tie em together~!
http://img692.imageshack.us/img692/8919/c36020120221174852.jpg
http://img163.imageshack.us/img163/5815/c36020120221175652.jpg

Not even noticeable!
http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/4917/c36020120221175717.jpg

After the seat was done, time to work on the soft-top.
http://img12.imageshack.us/img12/7317/c36020120221181645.jpg

To be honest.. The hardest part of the whole job was taking out the little black tabs that hold the carpet......
They were SOOO annoying and hard to take out but once they were all out, only the easy work was left.
http://img585.imageshack.us/img585/7484/c36020120221181747.jpg

Next step was the rain rail.
http://img684.imageshack.us/img684/7118/c36020120221182846.jpg

Few easy nuts.
http://img685.imageshack.us/img685/5247/c36020120221185344.jpg

Then three bolts behind the seatbelt tower and it's on it's way to being removed :)
http://img24.imageshack.us/img24/1495/c36020120221195024.jpg
http://img859.imageshack.us/img859/983/c36020120221195537.jpg

Found a really old lighter underneath the carpet beside the seatbelt tower :S
http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/65/c36020120221205254.jpg

and after putting everything back together...

Viola!
Nice clean result :)
http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/1701/c36020120221213553.jpg

This practically left the Blueberry with nothing left to work on.. Apart from buying stuff which I'm not gonna let out too early ;)
Just leaves the MX-5 good the way it is, tires are still good, all oils and fluids are up to date; I'm happy with the interior apart from the shift knob which isn't too bad..
http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/3259/c36020120212180359.jpg

Hey Gil,

Been seeing your car on the way to work a couple times last week! I noticed that the oem hardtop has alot more window. is it still good to see out of / check blind spot for the right when you merge? I was driving my mates 5 for a few months whilst he was overseas, I hated driving with the softop up, i dove with the top down all the time just purely becuase it was so much easier to merge lanes without a roof covering all traffic to my right.

Must have been my brother, AHHAAH! Despite buying the new car he still loves my 5. HE SHOULD GO AWAY AND GET HIS OWN!

But yeah, nah it's cool because I let him drive it and all :) He says he does spot you but. So give a beep and he'll know,

I have driven it and yes, I would definitely say with a Broadway mirror and a hardtop, you can practically see everything around you, as for me I'm a safe driver so always checking blind spot is a must even with blind spot mirrors and practically being in a glass cube almost! LOL! You can see everything; top down is ultimate hectics LOL! But yeah man I know exactly what you mean but. I'm sure most of the 5 drivers on here know as well.

Like I haven't looked into postage pricing and all yet but it's just the price they set seemed okay? Like GV lips were $190 or something but at JDMyard before was 345 (or 245.. can't remember) at a discounted price.
I've heard super good feedback from Jesse Streeter, just never tried.. Looking at buying Works Bell quick releases as well as a GV lip but don't know where to go with that.. Just waiting for a place with stock and it's buy buy buy.

Yeah man go to streeter

I will head over to him! The thing is I'm not sure how to navigate the website..
So.. do I just email him what item I would like from any website that has an item stock? (Sorry noob first timer question)

But thanks :) Needs a good set of rims but!

WEEEW.

Been way too long since I touched this thread!
Not that I hate it or anything like that; just been quite lazy and yeah.. Not much has happened really~

Well I guess one of the first things that sorta happened was..
http://img11.imageshack.us/img11/5599/c36020120428131415.jpg
Right after the April EOMM for bald tires and exposed pod-filter.
Yeah, caught me off guard but I guess in a way it was sorta telling me to fix up my suspension set-up as it was chewing away my rubber anyway.
and.. to buy an OEM air filter replacement; bought the car like this and was never given the stock airbox.. So that's next on the list.

So a few of my friends, John (UFO8MYCAT), Stanley and Andy helped me clear my defect and took out the rims to inspect.
http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/7862/c36020120428140713.jpg
Reppin' Zen Garage! Yeah looks pretty bad! AHAHHA!

But after that was all done thanks to the boys, on my way home I heard a "POP!". I was like, damn that was quick!
Pulled over and checked everything; not quite sure where it came from; so i just drove home which was about 3 or 4 minutes away.
Seems that my rear tires drove over a few nails and shards of metal stuffz.
http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/233/c36020120505114315.jpg
http://img843.imageshack.us/img843/2429/c36020120505114321.jpg
http://img838.imageshack.us/img838/4944/c36020120505114408.jpg

So I was like guhhh.. Wasn't gonna be able to get money to get new tires till about the next week and I had to get to uni some-how.
So I just got it patched up the next day as a temp fix.

So off the rear went and spare went on..
Looked pretty weird, looked like it was flying compared to the other side. AHHAHA!
http://img207.imageshack.us/img207/8245/c36020120505115102.jpghttp://img560.imageshack.us/img560/1581/c36020120505115112.jpg

http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/3483/c36020120505115159.jpg

and a week later or so; I managed to head over to Bridgestone while the 'Buy 3 and receive 1 tire free' offer was on.

They got it fitted and had a wheel alignment done for me fixing up all the camber and other stuff so it's all street spec no camber for longer lasting rubbers!

Managed to snap up some RE002's in 205/50/15 for front and rears, I was hoping they could do 225/50/15 but they didn't have that size available..
But these will do!
http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/3987/c36020120530140456.jpg
http://img546.imageshack.us/img546/4089/c36020120530140527.jpg
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/3047/c36020120530140446.jpg

Next up was my stupid Jap number plate bracket!

I purchased an offset number plate bracket from omgpham (http://omgpham.com/), top member! Package came in like the next day!
Highly recommend his goodies.

Car jobs with both the cars~
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/406/c36020120519141614.jpg

So to take off the bracket.. A few bolts needed to come off; I was told to just yank it out with a flathead/etc.
But upon taking off the front bar.. There were bolts that were split outwards covering the whole bumper; so if i were to yank it out.. It would rip off the front bar.
Phone ran out of battery at this stage but they were really strange rivets and bolts.
http://img402.imageshack.us/img402/7025/c36020120517191727.jpg
http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/734/c36020120517191755.jpg
http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/2182/c36020120517191814.jpg

and it's Not bad! I quite like it much more than the old look~
But it's all personal preference I guess. After an hour and a half or so and a quick wash (no polish)

After:

and I was happy with how my car was at the moment.
Wasn't too fussed about much. I still reckon it needs a lip though.

So just yesterday, went to Parramatta to grab a few things.
Just casually sitting in traffic during peak hour and I see a bit of white smoke coming out of the headlights..
I was like "Awww Shiiiiiieet". Wasn't any major smoke but the moment I saw it, I knew it had something to do with the radiator in some sort of way..
Pulled over and..

Chet me, com xuong, pho dac biet, bun bao.

I was like what the hell happened here.. Looking around at all my hoses, underneath, above, in front, everywhere!
Couldn't really see anything as it was getting kinda dark.. But upon letting it cool down abit, and wiping it with a spare cloth I had.
I managed to find some silicon type tape and electrical tape and taped as much as I could as a temp fix just to get home.
But at this time my phone ran out of battery again.. But yeah; going home and checking again; it seems to be a little tear in the middle radiator hose..
Just a tiny split.. about 1 mm or so caused so much damage!
http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/3948/hoseb.jpg

So the MX5 is just sitting at home for now until that small hose is fixed.

So I was wondering if I could get some help from you guys on pointing me a direction to get this fixed; I don't have a clue on where I should be going to check for part numbers and such for this hose..

Take the hose out and bring it to Mekong spares, it will match up with a Honda crv hose just have to trim it down abit.

Good luck with it.

Thanks for that! Must be a common thing after a while aye??
About how much would I be looking at for this hose but?

A member on the forum (Nemo) said he'll be helping me out with supplying it! :) Top bloke!
But if it's pretty cheap I guess I can get it new~

Gilbert, do yourself a favour and replace all the hoses while your at it.

Once one goes, if the rest are of the same age, they shall soon follow suit.

Turbro spares ordered in a gates lower hose for me within the day, straight fit.

Also, keep some Rescue Tape in the boot :)

Update!

So coming off from where I left off before, radiator hose blew and caused a bunch of mess.
http://img703.imageshack.us/img703/281/c36020120618172013.jpg

Story was I went to Mekong Autospares at Canley Vale to order new hoses.

I was told they only had the upper hose which wasn't the one I needed but I grabbed it anyway to replace my old one.
http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/2046/c36020120622161537.jpg

Here's the code if anyone needs it
http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/2386/c36020120622163833.jpg
http://img210.imageshack.us/img210/3090/c36020120622163842.jpg

the lower one on the other hand said they needed to ship it on the next day, so I said that's cool. I'll wait a day.

I came in the next day, and to my disappointment they said it's not in yet.. I was like okay.. You make me come back twice.. Just be real with me.

So the day AFTER, I came in.. It wasn't even the hose I wanted/needed.. *palmface. I specifically asked for an NA8 one 94-97 LOWER HOSE.

Even took a picture and showed him in the booklet and clearly told him what I wanted, very frustrating. Instead I got an NB8A Heater Hose or something like that..
http://img688.imageshack.us/img688/7523/c36020120622161242.jpg
http://img526.imageshack.us/img526/6780/c36020120622161231.jpg

Didn't take a picture of the whole hose but it was three times the length and half the radius of the actual hose I wanted.. Annoying.

Instead I had a fellow JDMST member help me out! Nemo! (http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/showthread.php?35681-Nemo-s-NA6-Gone-Boostin)

Such a friendly fellow provided me with his old NA6 hoses since he went a turbo set-up, still good!
Comparing the old and new side by side, NA6 hoses do fit NA8 hoses :)
http://img6.imageshack.us/img6/5853/c36020120622214341.jpg

Quickly took some snaps then got to work to get it running again~
The usual hose clamps, coolant and got myself some new wiper blades.
http://img824.imageshack.us/img824/1884/c36020120623155256.jpg
Work that needed to be done.
http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/5046/c36020120622161510.jpg

Easy swap overs and finally managed to get it running again!

At this stage I kept looking at my car and going "Damn.. It needs a lip... Needs one bad.."

and said, "Might as well!" after weeks of searching around calling up and asking places such as JDMYard, MX5Mania, Import Monster and Tetsuya Garage..

I was told very wicked prices such as $525 with 3 months wait.. At this point I was like damn........ UNTIL!

Kevin from What The Fad (http://www.whatthefad.com.au/) said he would help me out!

He managed to hook me up with one in less than two and a half weeks! Their service is hectic so I suggest checking them out~

It arrived with all these booklets n stuff if anyone's interested.

http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/4130/c36020120804202456.jpg

Such great guys~

http://img40.imageshack.us/img40/2803/c36020120804203953.jpg

Didn't have much of the process but this was how it was mounted.

12 screws across the front bar held on by screws and nuts.
http://img845.imageshack.us/img845/3120/c36020120804214331org.jpg

and.. at this point my phone ran out of battery so no pictures.. Instead one DSLR picture.

http://img841.imageshack.us/img841/6715/img2878w.jpg

Pretty sweet! Very happy with the result! Would like to say thanks to Kevin from WTF, Nemo, John, Andy, Stanley and Steven!

Then.. Possibly Hard-top spoiler and Carbon Fibre Mirrors!

I'd have to say Garage Vary does look the best, but other than that; you have other options such as TRAP and OEM lip.
Garage Vary gives it more of a snowplow look, and pokes out nicely. TRAP is quite okay too but I don't really fancy the OEM,
each to their own!

Garage Vary

Windscreen wipers.

http://img812.imageshack.us/img812/4151/img20121006130808.jpg

http://img259.imageshack.us/img259/8545/img20121007163826.jpg

and gave it a basic Royal Purple oil and a new oil filter afterwards. Smooth smooth!

and my brother got me a Christmas gift, smoked indicators and reflectors. Has to be seen in person to really see how nice it is.
Some may think it's rice blah blah blah, but I personally like it myself, it gives it an aggressive look especially at night time with the parkers on.

Yeah man, it's one of the best things you could do to your car I reckon since most of it is all moving parts that need to be lubricated.

Just pack some gloves, rags and tissues ready and if you have any friends just give them a call, I'm sure they'll be willing to help out if you order some pizza and beer.

Looking good gil. I haven't seen this around in ages.

Thanks Paul! Just been keeping things on the low because I'd rather update it with something big not minor things like, changing a few bolts here and there like I have been doing. LOL

GIVE US SOME UPDATES GIL

I was gonna make an update once all the parts arrived but I guess I can give a teaser/small one.

So originally I was gonna install everything and update but I've got too much on my "PLATES".

Waiting for my "RACING" friend named "JACKSON" who's coming down from America which will come in the future.

But I do plan on fixing up more SUSPENSION work so I can approach the "HOOK" corners more smoothly.

No engine conversions, turbos or superchargers here so my steel cap "BOOT" will have to stay out of this.

But for now I'll have to "SPACE" things out to make sure I have a more widened room at home.
