The Skyline GTR was named GODZILLA by the japanese whom were very scared of the monster in the movie Godzilla, the GTR scared them just the same when they drove it because of it's scary POWER.

It was nicknamed Godzilla by Wheels Magazine but I think it's pretty much universal now.
