haha, just found this i helped a friend test fit his wheels (same as the enkei's i have) to see if they clear the upgraded brakes
the clearance of the caliper to the rim is about 4mm, but the clearance between it with the wheel weights is more like 2mm

merry christmas man
its only seen the street so far, it would almost be an embarrassment to take it to the track without the new engine,
the engine it has now came stock ~50kw atw, so its a poor engine for (na)power, but the engine from stock is vertually bulletproof hard to kill

the new engine will have a much much higher power figure , the car will probably only see the track 1-2 times in its life, im not aiming to build a track car at all
what im aiming for is a;
hill-climber powerband (plenty of torque starting in the very low rpms)
street-ablitly/daily drive (nice looks, confy, practical interior, fuel efficientcy, reliability)

Nice brakes!
thanks :)
they give me alot in the way of peace of mind, dont even need to press the brake pedal to slow dont, just rest my big toe on the pedal gently lol
merry xmas

and i leave u with an old pic of my projector retrofit, merry xmas all

de-loomed the engine (well disconnected it from the mass weight of loom)
and put it on the engine stand... not much to happen for a bit, just needed it on the stand and mobile so we can move it if need be

Your original thread says you have started building the new engine, but today you only just put it on the stand and removed the wiring loom??
Interested to see where this goes, not exactly sure what you are aiming for, just a hardparker?

yes i just put it on the stand today and de-loomed it, doesnt mean i havent been gathering parts and getting things orgainised on the side,
i can aquire parts for it without having the engine stripped.

or if your refering to the engine mods listed in OP thats for the engine in the car atm

yeh will just be a hardparker/street build, i like the track but being 20yo uni student i dont have the budget to stretch to a track build if i did i would, but its just not going to work on my income for the next 2 years, could become tracked in a few years but the new engine is being built primarily for street driving and nicely dressed, with some cool stuff adapted from other cars thrown in cos i like cross platform modding

Aight then. Looking forward to see the performance of the new engine when it's finished...

my estimate is 100-120kw atw N/a when it goes in, but i may be swapping in a different bottom end later after its in which should make a nice bit more
it wont be a v8 eater, but will be a free revving free flowing fun engine to build and drive

just a game a patience for me, i estimate a good chunk (atleast half) of this year+ will be taken up saving and building the engine at my income rate till it goes in to the coupe

yeh well its not a 94 just yet, it will go in as a 93 with lots of mods and while i have the 93 built in and running i will be working on doing internals on a 4g94 block and swapping in the bottom end, as they are direct swap +200cc longer stroke and can utilise all mods that were put on the 93.... so it will be progressive to a 94

dohc headswap is something i wont neccesarily have to do, i could do it but in reality the only gains i will get is it will look nicer in engine bay and i will have more cam tuning capabilities... as im doing port and polish and possibly a 3/5 angle job on the sohc head it will already be flowing like a pro.

looks good man,
and where the original rims lighter then your aftermarket wheels??

origonal rims that the car came with 14x4 or something weighed exactly the same as the rays replica 17x7's with tyres

the new rims which are the vrx 15x6 5 spokes weigh 2.3kg per wheel less than the rays replicas

nice mate!!!
makes me miss my ce lancer... :(
thanks, they are a good platform to mod, plenty of engine choice if you know where to look, pitty they dont have as much aftermarket support as hondas and nissans etc

bonnet will be colour coded(painted body white) because its a bit ugly due to the repair work done on it
i like to look at cars who have cf/black bonnets, but i would never have one on my car, im not aiming for a panda exterior

yeh thats always the battle, i used to second guess the car and the build a heap as stuff just wasnt going right
but now i have patience and knowlege and realistic goals, and it all seems very doable

mate, big thumbs up and respect for going retrofit projectors instead of just plugging in "hid kits" into non-hid headlight housings, 99% of those people are tools and do not understand lighting and its effects on others on the road.

great work man, props to you.

Res
04-01-12, 02:31 PM
agreed, i get so annoyed at people who run HIDs in reflector housings which are absolutly not made for directing that type of light
its very rude to other drivers on the road, i think they just dont know or are ignorant fools

im glad i have the knowlege to know better

4tune
04-01-12, 02:49 PM
at first i was thinking it was a 93 but yeah , well its good that your using and building most or all of it yourself
you'll get awesome results

like you said there isnt really much gain with dohc kit but it does make it look better , then again less is more and less complications and cheaper for parts
i cant wait to see it done and more progress

stripped the power steering, aircon, exhaust mani, fuel rail, throttle body, intake plenum off the engine today
just getting everything auxilliary off it, left the alternator on for the time being as i have something i need to do with that before it comes off

nothing much has happened on my engine, but some stuff i am very exited about is progressing nicely

firstly the news;
got a gasket trace i have been waiting on for ages, nothing special to you guys but its one of the most important parts of my engine build i specifically wanted
its not just a gasket its the measurements of a 4g92 mivec intake manifold flange, which is bolt up to my engine, unfortunatly 4g92 manifolds are as rare as finding a needle in a haystack in aus
soooo... a good friend who has the mani got me a trace of his flange when i was helping him with his engine conversion.

the actual runners and plenum of the 92 dont bother me, i just want the flange because the ports are 5mm rad bigger than the stock 93 ports, which makes for nice free flow at top end

here is a pic of port difference, notice the sides of the ports are significantly bigger
then a nice custom mani ontop of that big bore flange
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-01-07193056.jpg

also for chits and giggles i took a pic of the comparison of my old engines port sizes compared to the stock ones on the new engine (will be bigger again with the 92 mani)
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-01-04160113.jpg

and name ur bolts when taking them off an engine :P
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-01-04155904.jpg

that is all, sorry no big updates, just filler crap

just waiting to hear back from a bunch of people about parts before i go on a bit of a shopping spree

hey man I wanted to that 4G94 conversion + the 4G92 RS mivec head when i was still into modding my lancer. It ended up just having DIY cai, and the full exhaust its got lots of fun stamped on it somewhere but at the end of it. it was just too much money for a very little gain.

ive got a couple of questions as i still have my lancer,
1. where did you get your teins rebuilt?
2. where can i buy evo 3 brakes?
3.was the brakes a bolt off bolt on thing?

thanks heaps in advance mate!

Res
08-01-12, 01:21 AM
@jiggyboi;
1, teins rebuilt at fulcrum, as they are the aus distributor for tein products and rebuilds.
2, wreckers, ebay, hens perforance.
3. no, need to redrill rotors to suit pcd, or buy mini cooper rotors as they dont need redrill and fit with e3 brakes, also caliper rebuild is a must.

you seem to have given up on your CE sedan, could have been good, pitty you have moved on.
any build is expencive it a known fact... knowlege is what helps you keep costs down, know what you want and where/how to get it and how to utilise it to its fullest potential
(also doesnt hurt to have good friends)

im looking at going from 49kw atw ---> 100-120kw atw all-motor
and its very doable, and alot of money will be saved as i am doing 99.9% of the work diy, so no labour costs
just takes pateints and dedicaton to the build

serviced the old engine and serviced the rear swaybar, (re-greased it as it was starting to squeak when going un-evenly over gutters/driveway enterances and speed bumps)
also kicked the swaybar up to the stiffest setting while i was down there, not that the car needs it, already stiffer than stiff :P

awaiting on the auspost for my new pillowball mounts for the teins and new projector setup, should be here sometme this week
saving a bit of $ so ican buy a new spray gun so i can start painting these body parts

[swaybar set to 3/3 max stiffness]

small update;

engine hasnt really had any more work done to it besided getting a new dipstick tube as the one i had was crushed and bent out of whack

in other news, the teins got new camber top pillowball mounts (as they didnt come with them origonally), got a set of GAB tops cheap, and retrofitted them on
i wasnt too worries about the brand of the tops so long as they fitted, gab tops are just as good as any other entry lvl pillowtop

also got a UK evo4-9 adjustable short shifter with all the bells and whistles, very good shifter, and the extra bits and pieces are cool additions, was cheap as chips ;)
see bellow the comparison between OEM and new shorty, i have had a home made short shift in it before but i wanted a more profesh finish nice one

and finally some pics of the interior, cos i felt like taking pics today

i know man, alot of us lancer guys pull stuff like our 5 stud conversions and brake conversions off magnas, galants,vr4s, wiras etc etc...
makes for cheap upgrades.

brakes may have been cheap but, going from thin 234mm single pots to big fat 276mm twin pots is a huge difference in a small lancer coupe

CF wrapped cluster, looks good, molded in well, couldnt use real carbon cloth as it would have made it alot harder to work with in the tight corners and curves

car has everything a lancer modder could dream of
so looking forward to picking it up and starting to strip her down

oops it been a little while since last update

bit has happened;
got the rubber fitted to the new rims
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-03-08101757.jpg

then picked up this baby (mitsubishi FTO GPX 6a12miv)
besides the big hit to the front, everything else was realativly fine, unfortunatly the engine is not for me, im sticking with my 93/4 build
a friend and i went 50/50 in the wreck, which was cheap as to start wiith, he gets the engine and most of the running gear, and i get bits and bobs off it that i want :D
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-03-10133508.jpg

first day we got most of the interior out
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-03-17150223.jpg

took doors off cos they were perfect, sell them when we get around to it
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-03-24131838.jpg

pulled all the sheet that was damaged off (bonnet, front bar, rad support etc.)
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-03-17150234.jpg

said goodbye to my rav rims, sent them off to NSW
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-03-26140643.jpg

finished pulling the engine and loom out
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-03-31141230.jpg

also picked up some b16 forged rods for a steal
cos im building a honda right :P nah the b16/18 rods and pistons are same size as the 4g93 sets, so now im building a 4g9b16 engine :P
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-04-05125101.jpg

flying fto shell, cos thats how we roll

got low?
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-04-21105826.jpg

got an Evo CEgen front swaybar huge beast of a swaybar, too big for my car
BUT. they are the same shape as the FTO bars, and the fto bars are perfect upgrades for our smaller CEgens, picked up the evo swaybar for the endlinks and brackets as thats what i need to fit the fto front swaybar to my car.

small update, things are going slow because uni got pretty hectic
now im on holidays lets hope i get stuff done (its about time i did)

mmkay, so

picked up new MR doors with pwr mirrors, windows and central locking, something mine lack
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-05-11202648.jpg

got backed into by some assholes
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-05-18154411.jpg

got the last piece that i need to do my evo climate control conversion... now just need time to do it
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-06-02103708.jpg

sold the teins, they will be replaced with OEM FTO shocks and springs for a month or less
moving on to the fto suspension i got from the red fto we pulled apart, this is to test fit the fto and evo front swaybars
if all fits up nicely a new set of FTO coilovers will be promptly purchased
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/teinssold.png

the successors to the teins will likely be a set of BC- RM inverted coilovers, i was considering older BC's like the V1's and BR's, but RM's being inverted seemed the best option
http://www.bc-racing.co.uk/csp/apex/bcracing/images/coilovers/rm-coilover-overview.jpg

now that im on holidays, im hooooping to get all the body parts painted and fitted, also looking to clean up and paint the enkei rims white
and additional stuff if i get time will be fitting the evo climate control, fitting the wink mirror thats still coming in the post (and stickering it up a bit)
then if i still have time, completely dismantle the block and test fit the honda forgies in it then get a move on it since most of the other stuff is done-ish

till next time

Res

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2fe91533.jpg

first some not very special specs of the new engine as it went in;

>> 4g93 block and head
>> stock exhaust
>> 4g94 intake manifold cos fatter runners
>> stock 93 throttlebody
>> excedy HD clutch disc on standard pressure plate cos poor
>> CH maf sensor (cos aparently its better flowing than the early MR mafs)
>> carbon intake- kept it and adapted it from the g15 cos i really like how compact it is and how well it works/looks
>> 4g92miv final drive ratio
----------------------------------------
lots of plans for the engine after i stabalise everything and get everythign working at a point im happy with
obviously looking at some stuff to get the engine breathing better as its pretty restictive on the stock exhaust manifold, also looking into retrofitting a 4g93CC head rather than the 4g93CE head so i can run backwards cams like a boss? i dunno wanna test fit it anyway

anyways pics of new engine (excuse dirtyness as i was stuffed after the swap and had the cant be fk'ds)

Projector headlights got sold
Eventually going to build up another better set with a intake vent built into the passenger headlight for a sri cai mixup

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-08-20145724.jpg

Fitted the power windows and electric mirrors finally, so much better than manual
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-08-01144954.jpg

Got a set of genuine recaros to replace the copies which i sold, cos legit is legit cool, picked them up for a tastey price aswell
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-07-30190726.jpg

Slimline weather shields, bonnet protector and flush-fit locking bonnet pins for the cf bonnet arrived

Car had been neglected for a few months due to lack of time, so she was mighty filthy
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-09-01115819.jpg

Prettied her up with a wash and got her a fresh wheel align
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-09-01124345.jpg

Painted the enkei's white cos white on white colourscheme is baws and i missed it a bit
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-07-14182010.jpg

And thats aboot it, evo4 front sway is performing great, car just needs a big tidy up
From the engine swap i still need to fit the aircon back up re-seal the fan boxes cos they are leaking crazy and fit the dash in properly cos it shouldnt be coming out again for a good while
Just general tidy up stuff, car has been a bit of a mess cos the engine swap was a bit draining on my motivation and $wallet but now its all coming good and shouldnt be too much longer till its all back to good again with everything working a-okay

Fto gpx 6ax motor was never going in my car, as said a page or so back, bought the fto wreck with a friend and gave him the motor cos it needed work and im quite fond my straight 4 engines, much easier to work on and parts availabilty is 100x better

Got the 1.8 4g93 in at the moment, and as was planned doing a block swap up to the 2.0l 4g94 once the car is tidied up a bit

6a12 engine from the fto didnt really suit what i was aiming for wanted a toquey low end engine 6a makes power to late for me

Finally got a nice weekend free to tidy the car up a bunch, not alot interesting but more stuff that needed to be attended to for general driving confort and fitting some quick parts that i had time to fit

Fitted the slimline weathersheilds, look the biz, very nice and sleek looking
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-09-07100710.jpg

Sprayed bonnet protector black and installed it, its an aquired taste, will be better when i build my black headlights and add a bit more black around the car

Enkei vrx's got new enkei stickers finally after they were painted a while ago looking rather bare
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-09-07100747.jpg

And had a bit of carbon wrap i had a bit of a muck around with add some subtle bits
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-09-08165704.jpg

Didnt get pics, but pulled out the entire dash again, heater/fan/ac boxes were leaking air like crazy, basically no air coming out the vents, and also the heater box wasnt sealed propper on the firewall hole letting heaps of engine bay temp heat thru to the cabin, so pulled everything out, ran some sikkaflex around everything to seal it up good, should have no problems now, and also gave me a chance to put my dash back in with all the bolts this time, last time i didnt as i was expecting to do the climate control etc etc, but now im not fitted the dash in sturdy and proper, hopefully wont come out again for a long while.

Coming week i get my new a/c compressor bracket so i can run a/c again, which will by nice, its been getting rather hot lately
So install that, also my whiteline rear FTO 22mm swaybar is on its way so that will be mad once its here, evo bar up front and massive fto bar in the rear

Tidy up on car is almost complete, after a/c is done, i need new rotors and pads all round cos they are very aged/baked/warped rears and dont bite as much as i would like for evo3 brakes

not alot has happened in the way of new parts recently, just been enjoying the new suspension configurations

gave her a wash cos it had been a little while
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-09-30141415.jpg

and went for a cruise up a mountain
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-10-12145628.jpg
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-10-12145700.jpg

overall car holds up really well now, new suspension setup is a nice improvment on the old, much more confidence in it, new semi style tyres grip like no tomorrow, feel great
the evo4 recaros have taken my heart, so confy for the daily drive and hug you in the seat on the twisties which is great

only thing letting it down at the moment is the looks and power which will be adressed next

new engine is great, heaps of power over the old one, but its still stock because suspension was priority over it, very happy with the low end power the cyborg gbox really gives ALOT of torque
so hill climbs are heaps of fun, but power maxes out pretty early at about 4.2krpm
a month and a bit ago i was seriously considering going down the turbo route, but im hoping to sorta finish up on building this sooner than later and turbo would have dragged out the build time considerably
so just some NA gear going on it early next year and doing the 2L block swap in then too

also got some real carbon fibre to start playing around with, get used to using it should be alot of fun
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-10-18172658.jpg

will be having a bit of a parts shopping spree in a week or 2, buying my new set of projectors for my next retrofit build among a few other things

Res

so probably time to update,

been busy finishing up Uni for the year, so havent done much on the car, but have been aquiring quite a few parts for when holidays starts

i got a new light weight underddrive pully, had one on my old engine, loved it to bits, so following suit on this engine
this one was a bargain thanks to a good friend, saves about 7kg at the crank which is always nice
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-10-26140110.jpg

and bought a set of new headlights as im starting to do a big custom projector retrofit now that im on holidays... carbon, projectors, intake vent... mmmmmm 8-)
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2012-10-26140245.jpg

needed a set of parkers for the projector setup so got these, when they turned up in the mail was suprised at how small they actually are, but they pack quite a punch
http://i1086.photobucket.com/albums/j449/thepartsshop/DRL%20Daytime%20Running%20Lights/DRL%20Daytime%20Running%20Lights%20Projector%20Whi te%20LED/002.jpg

and the most important part, the projectors, only the best morrimoto H1 5.0's
http://www.theretrofitsource.com/images/products/hid-projectors/Morimoto%20Mini%20H1%205.0-3-2l.jpg

starting on it all as soon as i get a spare day :D

looks good man, just wondering how do u remove the caseing from the headlights? do u just bake it in the oven or something?

yeh, first make sure headlight fits in oven without touching any of the sides as that will melt it, then preheat oven to 120-140*C, put headlight in on a piece of cardboard so it doesnt touch the metal racks in the oven another melting thing, then turn oven off when in, let it sit in there for 5 mins or however long ur confident, the better the glue heats the easier it is but u dont want to melt anything
then remove with oven mitts, and use flathead screw drivers to pry it open as best you can, (there is also a few small screws in the back that need removing) if glue gets to hard again repeat oven process

little while since i updated... so bit of a long update

filled in by gauge pod cubby so it was nice and formed but still allowed use of the cupholders, and angled the gauges slightly up towards the driver
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2013-02-15174652_zps1193f95f.jpg

got a rotary tool, was very handy to have doing CF work
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2013-02-20160826_zps8f85f198.jpg

layer of CF over the form, this was only my 2nd piece i had ever done so excuse the crudity, only 2 coats of resin so just a progress pic
http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2013-02-27144429_zps69d10613.jpg

gauge pod cubby finished however the CF looked a bit meh and nooby, so painted it black to try fix it, but yeh still looks pretty average, but atleast from a usability perspective it is exactly how i wanted

lol nah just going white again but colour coding to the cars white so it fits in nicer than the stark white i had before, also clearing them this time so they are protected from stains

good choice on the new rims

Res

yeh i had been going back and forth on what rims i wanted for her for the past 2+ years, i always kept coming back to RPF1's every once in a while. then recently it was the right time to sort out a new set of rims and rubber, and i wasnt going to do anything in half measures i knew all the specs i needed and that was that. Rubber was next card, i didnt get exactly what i wanted, ideally i wanted a 225/40/16r, but basically they dont exist in any rubber let alone a decent semi, so it had to be a 215/45/16r, not the worst compromise as 4x 215 section semi slicks will keep her in control quite well for a simple street car.

bought myself a new engine, the good old 6a12m (2.0L, V6 Quadcam Mivec) so last 2 rpf1's are on hold while the engine gets prepped and ready to go in in the next month or 2
factory power of 150kw at the fly when they were new, so its double what i have now. should be plenty of fun

http://i10.photobucket.com/albums/a134/jcmanga/2013-12-28184300-2_zps75004a49.jpg

and just before i found the engine i modded up the 4 banger a bit, alloy radiator with a way thicker core

the very same, not that hard to work on when you have been playing mitsubishi engines for years, but yeh they are notorious for oil leaks from the rear bank, but i think a set of fresh seals for both banks should make it all good for quite some time, was hard to pass up at how cheap i got the motor and all

No thanks, im not one of 'those' guys, you don't need to sound loud to be fast. it will be a 2.25 mandrel, fairly long hotdog and a stainless oval single, and block hugger primaries.

Hey res, how much did you get the engine for? would this bolt up on the stock ce 1.8 gearbox?
picked up engine for a cheap $550 with everything i needed, the would usually go for 900-1.4k for the parts i got, it is said it fits the 93 box by some reputable sources, but best to do your own homework.
i will say this though, like alot of variable valve engines it is better to have low gear ratios whereas the 93 box has dicky long ratios which i suspect would feel a little poop bolted to a 6a12m

Very nice, fronts look amazing!! Will be so great with the 6A12, there was a mirage with one for sale recently and I was soooo tempted to go back haha

just keep looking round, i wouldnt recomend the swap unless u want to stay NA and can live with a bit of a pain of an import engine to find parts for.
4g93/4 turbo is the better build as far as potential and ease of parts goes, that would be my recommend

Went to drive the coupe home on sunday night, got half way home when the clutch went sloppy.... D: in the middle of the pouring rain
smashed 1st and limped it off the highway and around to a safe side street.

it was working fine for the first maybe hour of the new motor test driving and getting home, then started to quickly get worse.

diagnosis is either a clutch leak which not leaking fluid but moreso sucking small amounts of air in. or a dead clutch slave cylinder.

so going to go back this weekend and rebleed it, which should get it home if its not the slave, and then trouble shoot where the leak is or replace the slave.

in good news, it makes cool quiet burbly noise and feels like it will be much faster than the old i4 motor as soon as its controlable

nothing much really, use all the v6 stock mounts, they line up to the stock lancer mount spaces. use lancer crossmember.
pretty much everything from an FTO (the donor car) bolts up, suspension, engine, brakes etc... if anything the FTO was like a sports developed chassy of a lancer

in any case i wanted to see if i could do it myself which i could if i had 3M, but i think i might see if i can get it wrapped

tldr; bonnet will be wrapped white/colour code wrapped eventually, just didnt want to show CF while i drive.

achillies overall were very impressive for a 195 section tyre even it the wet 100% impressed with grip for the narrow width. the KU36, are 215 section... but only just equal the achillies in dry conditions even being a larger tyre width
in wet the ku36 are average as they dont disperse water as well as the achillies
if achillies made the 123 in a 215/45/16 i would run it over ku36 any day

car has been off the road since a bit after the swap, just fixing things up slowly, engine still isnt 100% factory functional, just a few wiring bits to do
so no vids, but when it was limping around it was pretty fast and fun.

This is the most interesting build I've seen in a long time! I would of NEVER thought to have done the FTO V6 into a lancer coupe! It should go pretty good as well!

Did you do your own retrofits? If so, you interested in doing a set of retrofits for me? I have a spare pair of headlights, and I'd like to get another set of retrofits done (as long as they are perfectly aligned with the stock beam) as the current ones I have are off by a little bit.

I have done 4 completely different retrofits for this car all myself, however i do not do them for other people unless they are willing to pay a ridiculous amount to cover liability. as the process can damage/bend the headlight case, create headlight leaks, alignment can end up wrong without working directly on the car, and so on...

if you want them done its better off you do them yourself, its not very hard and its generally inexpencive

I've taken my headlights apart many times. I'd do them my self, but I actually do not have the space to actually do it my self (No garage, and the only space I have to work on is a small cluttered bedroom). I'm more than happy to pay, I can source the parts too if needed, and I live in Brisbane so you can work directly on the car if you'd like :)

sorry man, im down in sydney now, havent changed my location lol
if you have a cramped room you have more than i have. i work on my car on the street, no parts can enter the house. a bedroom to work on parts would be a luxury.
the answer is still a no to making you a set.
you have more space than i had when i mad my current and previous setup and u already know how to take apart a headlight so i cant see any reason u cant do it yourself besides laziness or scared to fail-ness

When you do it send me a pic and we ar going to feature a bunch of peoples PVC CAI designs on a future episode.
Its real simple for anyone to do which is what we aimed for, just wish i had known how to make one like this back in my noobie days.

This MINI episode we put some hub-centric rings on Matt's car as he got a new set of Impul R1's recently.
We also go over why you should run hub-centric rings if you have aftermarket rims or spacers.
