Looks good a mate had one of these and with tbe and evo8 turbo he was running 12s all day..

P.s your tires on your buddy clubs are eggshaped in your first post

dj_konix
28-02-12, 07:14 AM
cheers, but did he have the internals out of an evo 8 turbo..as an evo 8 turbo wont bolt on at all, they come from a motor that faces the other direction.
I've never really launched mine hard but with the power i have now it should easy do low 12s

Update:
Havent really been doing much to it lately as im trying to sell it buuut i am changing a few things over the next few weeks...

Swapping my buddyclubs for some 17" BBS LM's in gold. Hoping by going down two sizes it might change fuel economy a tad bit and make acceleration a bit quicker :P wishful thinking..
Bought Some Project Kics neo chrome nuts but might leave them to put on the jazz.
Also looking at retrofitting some evo 9 suspension, pictures to come of this :)

How does the Kando go ?

You spend all that money on mods, just wondering why you chose this turbo? :)

Drifter995

*whispers in ear* keeep it... convince the gf it'd be a good family car... just have to put seats in the back, if there aren't already. hehhehheh. as for the fuel thing, surely a down tune would help fuel usage a little? I don't actually know, I'm just having a wild stab in the dark... maybe it'd work?

Thanks dude! loves gate thats for sure :)

Yes, well i feel like its the only mistake i made with the build. I had purchased a tdo5 flanged manifold and didnt want to change over to t3 flange, i have access to a gt3076r 0.63 rear housing but it means new manifold, or an adapter and THEN my exhaust wont fit or line up...lots of stuffing around for a car im selling....
The turbo is ok, it was laggy at first but a few tweaks to the tune and a much around with the boost controller but it still doesnt see full boost till just over 4500rpm, also the td06 has no efficiency under 22psi but its going back in for another tune for 25+psi :)

hahaha ben, she HATES this car..its too loud, too fuel hungry, idles "gay" (272 ftw), and the noise gives her headaches lol its got the BEST rear seat of any car, and i welcome you to sit in it...its like sitting in village gold class :)

nice, sure if your into that style. lol

Drifter995
24-04-12, 02:59 AM
haha, very nice. she has her own car though, surely? :P and if worst comes to worst, just chuck something on the exhaust (if you can) to make it that little bit quieter... or just make up a cheaper axle back part or something to bolt on for daily use, and boly the mandrel one on for track or fun use :D

I would seriously consider buying it off you if I had a real job, and money to spend D:
But yeah, see if you can't find a way to keep it ;D

UPDATE:
Today i decided to change over the rays wheel nuts to the project kics neo-chrome, i cant honestly believe the difference in weight over the stock nuts vs project kics vs rays!
The reason behind changing over the nuts as i prefer to keep the lightweight nuts for future use on a track car :)

Rays:

Project Kics:

Then i thought i better make a start planning my sheetmetal intake box

UPDATE:

as you can tell in the pics in last thread the car was sitting in the nosebleed section height wise.
Today i decided to rectify this, i bought a set of near new kyb struts and pedders lowered springs of a 4gtuner member for a real good price as i thought it might sell better when it looks better (if that makes sense)
Anyway so i went up to a mates workshop and jacked the rvr up, with much angst we got the rear springs out and compared them to the new springs:
(Excuse Iphone pictures)
