after selling my RB26 S13 start of last year to fund my track car i have finally got it to the stage where i am happy to just drive it.

It has come a long way (no pun intended) since i shipped it over from JPC in Western Australia. Turning up with a dead clutch (which was replaced by the seller) and a fairly average body after finishing up second in the WA drift series last year i had a lot of maintenance to do to get it up to scratch.

Tidied it up a fair bit and took it to its first track day, was a success even tho i managed to shatter a cast rear hub :/ got it replaced over night and finished somewhere in the top 10.

Did some more tidying up, picked up a few local sponsors, 8 new matching rims, some vinyl and decent tyre's and we were back at the track. The new grip was amazing but car was severely down on power which we couldn't work out track side (ended up being dead EBC) and still managed to smash a drive shaft. But got some more valuable seat time in the car.

Pulled the car apart one last time and removed the S15 front for good. Custom 180sx conversion guards, type X front bar and a S13 bonnet with projector headlights had the car looking alot meaner. replaced drive shaft with a reco unit and back to the track with Ferds and Project D guys for a prac day at WSID on the return road (video below)

The night before i stopped in to see Chea at Powertune and had a freshen up tune performed. Made 250kw keeping it ultra safe at my request.

Was a killer day at WSID the following day and got some more valuable seat time with some fast 3rd gear entries and learning alot about how the car handles with some pace behind it. Blew another drives haft, same side but luckily someone had a spare, some cash exchanged hands and we were back on the track.


After this day i managed to secure a few extra minor sponsors to help out, and the car has received a full CAMO vinyl wrap for the 2012 season. Just waiting for some room at the signwriters so i can take car back in for the sponsor decals to be fitted.

Nice car man. Interesting catch can setup, looks like its hooked up to a secondary which has a breather onit? And youve deleted the PCV and are running all the vents on the rocker cover to the catch can? Can you explain it for me?

thanks mate, yeah your exactly right. if you look at engine bay pic when rocker cover was yellow/green you will see it better.

the rear passenger side breather goes back own to sump, and there is another breather line same dash size as my rocker breathers going from inlet manifold to cold side cooler piping.

So the rear passenger side goes to the sump? Looks likes its going to the catch can in the pic, and on the right side its going to the catch can. And I cant see the line going to the cold side piping. Looks like there are 2 lines going from the rocker cover to the catch can, then one line going to another catch can with a breather filter on it?

OK pink lines go to the twin catch tank setup, blue dot top right is the third breather that goes to sump. and the blue line on left is underneath the plenum, and and that line goes to the cooler piping underneath. you cant see the actual line in the picture. This line is also a dash -8 speedflow line i think.

and just for kicks all my wastegate lines are braided aswell ;)

Hope that helps a bit more.

I lov 14 onevias, but it seems like somthing is missing....

Maybe a uras or bn front bar to make it all the same level and a it more agro as the 13 bonner doesnt kinda suit th typee x front bar

Thanks guys, im definetly keen for a big front kit now. when i had the conversion in mind i wanted a type x bar no matter what, fitted it up and not even close to looking level with the sideskirts. I have biggies old bar coming but not sure what it is but hopefully that will even it up a bit more for me.

How ever the wheels are def staying, i have 8 of them, there universal sizes so if i crack a rim on front i always have a spare and there cheap. tick all the important boxes, and i dig concave over dish lol.

got to drive her on the street today down to Macquarie Signs and tinting to finish off all the sponsor vinyls for me. should have it back by end of next week looking fresh ready for powercruise sydney

Also moved into my new house today with double garage so ill get a bit of a workshop happening, build a bench and tire rack and should be sweet.

Thanks everyone :)

Finially moved into my new house with my partner, no more share house and a whole double garage to myself!
Also been getting ready for powercruise, New sponsor on board PM Lubricants, they have hooked the car up good and proper for lube, aswell as Macquarie Signs and Tinting supplying all the new sponsor graphics which need to go on in the next few days before powercruise.

And Leichts tyres for the continual Federal Tyres hookup. another 6 freshies for powercruise should see me through :)

Powercruise was super fun, got some full track demos in the rain sat then it cleared up sunday for a comp. Was awesome to slide big track in the dry, but linking the main street in the wet was probly my fav part of the weekend!
