Sam's new R32 GTR

[SAM-32R]

I just recently picked up my new GTR, after losing soo much money into my previous GTR due to unreliability issues.. stuff breaking here and there..i've got big plans for this baby.. hahaha got another motor from japan to go in the thing..

current mods are as follows:

MOTOR:

Trust Exhaust
Trust Front mount intercooler 110mm core
HKS intercooler piping
HKS intake and filters
HKS oil cooler + remote oil filter kit
AUTOSELECT aluminium radiator
Custom oil catch can
FIELD re-mapped ECU running 2 maps

HKS 25/40 Turbos
HKS Dumps
HKS front pipes
HKS triple-plate clutch
Apexi power FC + Handcontroller
Z32 Air flow meters

man my black one cost me round bout the 15k mark
broke the clutch second day i had it... replaced it with an exedy twin-plate..i had to get new turbos cause i blew the standard ones a couple of weeks later after the new clutch lols.. replaced them with trust T517z... got the R34 wheels... and a respray of the car to including the the skirts and the front bar.. and it just made me feel dirty after doin that.. i was like wats next to brake on me ?? haha soo i had to get rid of it hahaha

news just in.... motor starts but injectors were blocked and one oil feed line for turbo was cracked and leaking... soo maybe no pick up today.. just waiting on news from mechanics

the black one i jsut kept blowing things all in a matter of 1 or 2 week periods and it all cost me too much money in one hitt...

Not a bad effort at all. The same problem happened to my mate . His r33 pulled 208rwkw at only 10psi and his fuel pump gave in :mad:

yea it should be good man... comparing it to a mate of mine.. we've pretty much got an identical setup and same turbos... but the headwork on mine is more extensive and i've got a bigger set of cams too compared to his.. him running 13 psi.. made 250kw.. then on 19psi made 350kw and on 24psi made 416kw.. tuner said comparing those 2 engines.. mine will be 300kw and more at 16psi and he's looking to pus 23psi out of it.. to get a mark close to 400kw also depending on whether the new fuel system holds up too lols.. just have to wait and see

yea man.. they sit perfectly in the guards.. not doin nothing to it.. they fit perfectly... mate of mine had 18x11 all round on his GTR.. and they fit perfect.. cant wait till those wheels come in.. should go off lols.. iam not to sure bout the colour though.. i've chosen a gold.. now i duno if i'll like it up against my car.. sorta thinking twice bout another colour.. but its already been painted

thanks mate.. yea i wasnt goin too.. but the way i'd set it up before.. it was choking the car.. and it wasnt boosting over 7psi on the dyno.. soo i had to get rid of it.. and get filters.. hence y its such a tight fit in there.... noo iam not spraying my car.. iam leaving it silver... its the centre piece of the wheels which i have already had painted gold... iam just not sure now.. if iam gona like it with the silver.. and its gona cost me bit more to get it stripped and painted again.

yes indeed.... but mine are custom made.. off-sets are still the same.. they are 3 piece wheels... i've just had the outside dishes extended

well guys

my car's semi-complete, i've just had a re-tune
iam now pushing 310kw at all fours at 17psi with my injectors starting to max out
i will be sourcing a bigger set of injectors in the future
but for now it's enough power :D

boost is coming in at 2000rpm and full boost by 4500rpm, i've lost

Hey all, it's been a while

but just ran into money issues aiyy lolol
well here's an update

just finished a full rebuild of the motor, everything top to bottom as well as the turbos have been replaced and/or modified. car is now pushing 320kw at all four wheels at 19psi of boost, i ran an 11.4 @ 116mph on my old setup running 290kw at all four wheels at that time, this time there was just too much wheel spin in 1st and 2nd gear ended up running 11.8 @ 119mph 60ft dropped from 1.6 to 2.2 hopefully with the new wheels/tyres and suspension ill get a better time, i also picked up a kakimoto full mega n1 exhaust, twin pipe set up, bit loud on the ears.. lol but sounds nice and tough now

she's currently in the paint shop gettin a new respray and kit, and the new set of wheels will be coming soon, here's a couple photos of it at the paint shop

ohh i'd seen that sumone else has done wat i wanted to do to the racing hart rims soo i've gone for a set of volk racing GTU instead, currently gettin sum custom work done to the dish and centre pieces

yea it's a lovely piece of work to drive around now.. compared to the last setup with the 2540s was just a bit too much lagg in it for me.. awesome top end. but u dont realli have the roads or the proper place to open it up to take advantage.. soo now i've gone for a smaller set of nismo N1 turbos.. excellent response boosting in at 2000rpm hitting full boost at about 3000-3500 rpm and pulls all the way to 8000rpm.. drives beautiful

thanks man, yea the GTU's are nice i've always liked them.. had a set on my black GTR before i got the R34 rims.. realli regretted gettin rid of them soo i went looking for another set and did a little custom work on them.
The Rims are Volk Racing GTU 17x9 all round +22 offset colour is candy purple with candy red pearl, u couldnt realli see the read cause it was a pretty overcast day.. looks tops in the sun

Hey Luke, mate there's always room for more! hahaha... nah ill see how it goes after christmas shopping.. iam thinking of changing the turbo setup again to a set of bigger twin top mounts.. or a big single

As for the wheel fitment, yes ur right it is bad to run different rim widths or i've even seen different profile from front to rear any of the combination will muck around with the 4WD system as well as the 4WS system, that's y i never went ahead with my previous plans, my mechanic advised me of this and believe me he noes gtrs inside and out, i've also experienced it first hand myself, a friend of mine put smaller profiles on the rears than the front and the 4WD constantly stayed on then also made the steering a whole lot heavier, we changed the tyres and everything went back to normal

Hey mate... the paint work was done at at a won smash repairs in chipping norton, the quality of the paint turned out beautiful alot better than brand new cars these days.. it has to be seen in person to see how good the paint work actually is, the paint turned out alot better than i thought it would have..

as for the diffuser, my mate bought it for me for my birthday a few months back, i thnk he said he got it from bodyform

took abit of a gamble with the purple wheels, but hey
i like tryin different things, turned out well i reckon... ahh there comes a time mate
where u gotta get sum priorities straight.. dont get me wrong i love my GTR's and working on them... realli sad to see it have to go, but rite now just realli need to concentrate on other things.. like me business

Just a small update, did a few changes to the engine bay.. new fuel rail, injectors and regulator put the standard air box back in after an incident with the fuzz

purchased a new Haltech Platinum Pro ECU switched over to a MAP sensor and had it tuned by Adam and Just Engine Management didnt gain too much extra powe but the new computer improved the drivability of the car, power delivery comes on a bit earlier also much more smoother and it now has a bit more torque than before.
