This is my current project... I figured I better show how it all started with this build so I have included the start shots to the post now...

I have begun the renovations on a pretty beat up 180sx... With some great help on deck the progress is coming along quickly with help from all the boys at Northern Beaches Performance and Stuart and Mitch for there on going support to the project and most recently the great support from Dynamic Racing Concepts!

Parts sourced and fitted:

-Bodykit courtesy of Avi from www.jap.com.au this included Vertex side skirts, Vertex rear bar, Vertex sideskirts, 50mm Widebody rear guards and 30mm Wide vented from guards.

-Cusco 7 Point Roll Cage sourced from 3AM (billy) silviansw.com (http://www.silviansw.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=24922&postdays=0&postorder=asc&start=0) and was said to be for a Non-Sunroof model but it did fit without an issue.

Here is some pics of the progress so far:

Thanks guys... It has an RB20DET out of an R32 GTST! I have recently had a HKS 25/40 turbo kit fitted, along with an Apexi AVCR boost controller... Also sitting ready to be installed is an S15 dash which I need a few more pieces to complete if anyone has a centre console etc from an S15 i am looking for one!

The colour is actually a Subaru colour, its the standard heritage limited champagne gold mettalic!

Hey man... Yeah it has its moments! I seem to have a wiring problem... It sometimes like s to drop to 5 cylinders for no particular reason! We are pointing towards a wiring problem so as soon as the standard dash comes out it is going to be alot easier to diagnose!

We are definetly up for a big session when I get it back!

Don't mean to criticise but it looks like the rear quarter panels aren't blended properly...did they get it smoothed out before the paint went on?

I've seen a few 180's with this widebody kit and they haven't blended it in, I think that's how it's supposed to be to make it noticeable that it's been widebodied...

Yeah as DCEIVR said the widebody is actually rivetted on! So that when the 1/4 panels are damaged on the track they are easilly replaceable without having to then respray half the car again! :)

Thanks Luke... Yeah I remember you too! How have you been? Yeah T4S has been pretty slow but a hot tip would be to keep an eye on it over the next month ;)

Does anyone know where I can buy rear wheel bearings for my 180SX?

A few more pic's for you all to check out! Let me know what you think! It still needs a really good clean around the masking lines and has yet to be buffed etc... But hey it gives you an idea of how it sits atm!

heya oh thats right u got the 5 stud kit hey?
yeh its hard to find bearings anywhere... u can use the ones on my hubd if u can find a shop to press them off and on for u, but i had these probs when i was doing conversion myself..

easiest thing to do is to buy s15 disc and just buy a whole s15 or s14 hub they bolt on no hastles and the standard caliper fits no probs better quality than those just jap things to.....
can pic up second hand hubs cheap round $100 just keep an eye out.
if u want my bearings gime a buzz.
