Now have a FMIC and am running 12psi. Discovered that i was actually running a T25G. Have the trap speed for a 13sec pass, however my clutch isn't up to the task and now slips under load. Going to waste some money on suspension mods before i get a new clutch however. :P

Well their weren't any ADM Evo3s ;) It's easy to put a rear wiper on the car to make it look genuine.

The BEST way to tell is the aerial. GSR's have it on the A Pillar near the drivers window whereas the genuine Evos have it on the back near the boot (like your mates - you can see it in the photo)

Actually, it's not as simple as "putting a rear wiper on." The entire rear windscreen needs to be replaced.

You can't take the aerial position as gospel either.. JDM GSRs (there's quite a few around, especially in Vic) have the aerial on the rear quarter, as well as a rear windscreen wiper. The RS version of the 1-3 has the aerial on the A-pillar, and generally won't have a rear wiper.

The 'BEST' way to tell is to open the boot and check for the brace behind the rear seat. I've never seen someone go to that extent to convert a GSR (though some have added the evo bracing under the bonnet - another way to tell). Easier ways are to check the brakes (bigger), front guards (wider), etc, but all of these are easily fitted to a GSR.

Anyway, 'real' evos, genuine or not, don't have wheels like that :?

no, to prove that, you have to run the same car with small light wieght wheels, and then back it up with the bling.

you could put chrome 20s on a 10 second car and it may even run a 10...
but it will be faster on smaller lighter wheels.

do it on a track too.

A mate ran 12.5 with 205rwkw (normal street tyres, nothing fancy 1.7 60 foot) he went to 12.0 with 265rwkw, now with the auto down to 11.7

yea the mph is up there, it would go faster but i've got the speed limiter set at 140mph. the car is teched for 10.00et and 140mph, i don't want to weld a full cage into it because it is still a daily driven car.

there's still a couple of tenths in it yet, it sixty foots well but i struggle geting it to hook up consistently from 60' to half track!

haha, it would easily do over 140mph as it's hard on the speed limiter for the last 30meters of the 1/4 now. and i'd be stoked if i could knock .47 of a second off, like i said tho it's only got a couple of tenths left in it with the current setup!

Its hard getting that one perfect run though hey.

The S14 should run a mid 9 at over 140 but i am yet to make it happen lol Problem is its a big step from 11.2 to a mid 9 and its not going to happen in one run. We dont really want to cage the car either which makes it difficult.

Good luck though mate. I guess once the car hooks up in the first half you will remove the speed limiter and let it do its thing?
