Car audio?

I am looking to get some car audio for my birthday... Thing is I have absolutally no idea about speakers. I have got a awsome headunit coming my way! but speakers. I really want some good speakers... that give good clear treble. Can someone help me out? Also with sizes?? wtf??? 6 1/2... ladi da... what inch will fit in my front doors for my DC2?
I have heard alpine Type r's are heaps good for prices range. Not looking to buy AVI's here... just some pretty decent speakers.

Mate maybe look at something in the Hertz or Focal range. I'm currently trying to get some money together to start putting some new speakers in the Libby and have been down at Maroochy Car Sound having a listen to some of the different speakers.

I gotta say compared to some of the brands like Kenwood or Pioneer, these things absolutly kill them. That said the eclipse stuff sounded pretty damn good too.

OK done! I ordered a set of AVI tweeters... a pair of Focal fronts... and a awsommeeeee Clarion head unit! Apparently it's guna sound wicked! Fanks for the help tho.. Yeh didn't think much bout the Alpines Middle man... SPOT ON!!! hehe
