CAMS licence

Hi i'm writing because i would like to get some information about how to obtain a CAAMS licence in australia, according to what i have read you need to join a club or something and then apply for one through the club, if so which club you guys would suggest me to join, and also i would like to know which level of this licence would i be required to have if i wanted to say import a car from japan modified just for racing pourposes.... any help would be deeply apreciated!

as you said, first you need to be part of a cams affiliated club

there are many around, i am a member of the "NSCC" [nissan sports car club]

then you just need to fill out the relative paperwork, along with $88 i believe for a L2S license and wait around 2 weeks and u have your license in the mail.

L2S is the basic license let you do all speed and non speed events, like track days etc

i still find it absolutley amazing though that drifting is classed as a non speed event.........
