im thinking of rolling my guards, just wondering if anybody here has done it and their experiences with it. Im planning to take my car (s2000) to MRT at Rhodes to get it done.

my main concern is the paint cracking. thanks!

top one are good, $150 for 4 gaurds (i think)

don't go to tempe tyres, i've seen their work on a customer car at work once, the guard was stuffed(full of dings and chipped paint) ! and they won't fix their own mistakes, he had to fork out so much to get a new guard and have it resprayed.

I remember going to tempe tyres for a new brake disc. I must say that some of their staff need a lesson in customer service...

supposedly cars that are more prone to paint cracking is those that have had resprays, my mate had his (respray) car done n his paint chipped, but having said that id go to a reputable place u may be paying a little more but atleast u wont need to be forking out more for paint repairs.

hahaha, i can imagine i can imagine....

i've seen a gtr that went to the track he was running some wheels from tempe with semi's, the spokes had COMPLETELY cracked off the outside part of the rim thats how crap they are.. i wish i still had the pictures..

when they roll the guards their meant to heat the panel up with a heatgun, tempe don't do it, they just pull it out and go for their life lol

if the paint wants to crack thats what it will do.
you are heating paint, bending metal and folding it.
think about it.

the best guard roller and operator can will not guarantee 100% the paint will not crack.

true iced, although there is always measures that can be done to prevent such an occurance, we all know it..

heating paint up, slow and smooth actions with the roller, personal touch/skill, they all come into account :)

Dedy at Top One rolls to the max, and it does crack the paint most of the time.

Other places might not roll so hard, and usually the paint won't crack, depending on how well they heat up the paint first really.

tempe have the worst of the worst after sales service ever in wheel shop history.
because they are so busy, i doubt they would spend decent time to proper guard roll. rush job FTL!
