Even if you understand tyre size, load and speed ratings elude most of us but this may be one of the most important markings on your tyres. As seen in the diagram above, the load and speed rating is usually noted after the size. 91 V is a symbol that indicates the maximum load capacity and speed at which a tyre can be safely operated, subject to the tyre being in sound condition, correctly fitted and with the recommended inflation pressure.
