View Full Version : Respray!
Hey guys, im on a budget and need a full car respray, i was relying on hume smash but their prices were over to roof, so im gonna pass them. if it was a better price i would have went for them.
so any other places that can do resprays?
anyone have experiences or know the work of the following people?
2SUS?
3KUOUT?
Extreme bodywork or something like that?
are any of these places trust worthy? etc?
man, if only i had the s15 earlier, i would of went for MC Racing, i had the best price for a full spray there for my wrx, windows removed etc, and the paint was from the house of colour book!!!
:(
any help would be great, i hate to have to think about this while studying for my exams, it doesnt help at all
lol

budget and respray should NEVER be used in the same sentence david!!!
Go somewhere reputable!! If is a cheap price, it will be a shit job!
If you go somewhere reputable and you're not happy with a certain part, they will most likely fix it for you no problem.
madhatters
or
conventional bodyworks
i would budget about 4-6k for a full repsray and a DECENT job

i think the question is, why do you want to do a full respray on such a new car?
Id be keeping it white and just getting the bodykit painted.
i want a respray coz theres few of dents and alot of scratches that the previous owner left behind.
im keeping the colour white, thats for sure!
my budget is 3k-4k. i was quoted 6k just to respray my car in the same white etc. i thought it was a joke.
i have been quoted by a reputable painter, 4k with custom pearl pure white from the house of colour book, and ive seen his job. look at anthonys car for example. perfect!
if he was still around i would of went for it. :D
so no one had any experiences from any of the guys above?
i have seen some of their cars, but in just still not 100% convinced.
how bout xcustoms? i will check out madhatter soon!
:D
The S14 / S15 white factory colour has a pearl in it doesnt it ? Id expect this to cost more than a normal metalic paint, i could be wrong as im no spraypainter :P
Ive not ever had direct contact with madhatter, but have heard from all reports by varios people on diff forums over the last couple of years that he's top notch!

Speedy's right about S14/S15 white factory colour as Pearl white. I would also though 3 - 4K's enough for a whole car respray. BTW, i think if you are still going for the white, you can do a exterior whole car respray and leave areas like engine bay or under the seats alone. The 6k quote might be a complete stripped out respray.
-xquisite customs (xcustoms) do some good work they painted my mates GTR and did a great job for an awesome price
-2SUS is where my car is going to get flow coated again, he does awesome work too and also good prices
they are the two places i would trust with my car
Doofus
If thats your budget than try Sydney Central Panel and Smash they are located in Redfern
They resprayed my mates R32 GTR in original gunmetal and I have to say the quality of the paint is awesome, just as good as factory if not better.
Ill be getting Peter from Bodyform to fit my kit and taking it to these guys to respray the whole car in black again...or maybe Top Secret gold...haha well see.

hahaha dude thats incentive for me NOT to get it.... :P
yeah still undecided.....have to pay off turbo setup first and then save up money for the respray itselft before I seriously start thinking about colour.
Pretty sure ill end up putting up a thread about it as ill be undecided hahaha.....thats the only colour id change to though otherwise I love the Black on Black theme too much hehe

Yeah for me its a toss up between the guys that did my mates GTR or Sefton.

should see his new project :) not sure if its started yet but damn it will put the gemi to shame. only problem with drago is he is so backed up, if it wasnt for the fact i knew him i would have had to wait 14 months to finish mine last year but the wait would be worth it. he was planning to move in to a bigger shop to be able to work on more cars not sure if he has gone ahead with it though.
i think 2sus in greenacre is it?
he does full resprays for 2500$ if not less

Does anyone know where the best place to get a front bar resprayed would be. I kinda want it to match exact, or near enough factory Honda black. Also any one know what prices I would be looking at?
Atm i'm thingy of body form... as I have seen and heard amazing thing about peters work.
Fitting id say go Peter..no doubt about it.
But his expertise is bodywork and fitting kits etc..
For resprays....try some of the workshops mentioned in this thread as most of them are pretty reputable and should be able to do satisfy your needs.

Just bumping this thread as its now been 5 years since.
I have a genuine mugen kit to fit for my dc5. My guess on this is I wont require drilling etc as it should use my existing holes on the bumpers. Any high quality shops that are tried and tested that can colour match even the hardest of colours?
Pete @ Bodyform for Fit -> G&S @ Yennora for respray? :P
Please queue up tho. My car first fukers!@!!!
