Never knew you had the old homepage, i knew the blog existed tho but you cann-ed it

I think the old website is better because it's more pro, not a casual blog type of feel

Personally, i like the current one. Jump straight to the point. Could just have a link somewhere to the blog for people that's interested.

I don't think the new design works very well for the homepage. The way I see JDMST, it is very community driven. I think the old layout would be the way to go if indeed the homepage is to be revived, perhaps with some modification.

Forum - the link can really stay as it is, pretty self explanatory.
Featured Rides - there are plenty of superb looking cars on JDMST, there doesn't necessarily have to be one featured every month like a magazine - but choosing members cars once every few months might be an idea, getting people really involved.
Gallery - this maybe could be changed to JDMST and related Events/Meets gallery or something similar. Everyone takes pictures at events/meets, there are plenty of pre-made gallery scripts available to use. So why not get the community involved and put up the coolest pics taken?
Downloads - This section could be added at a later date. Could consider some kind of collaborations with the pro photographers for wallpapers etc?
Mugshots - Not really needed?
About Us - pretty self explanatory.
Shop - Stickers, posters, shirts?

As you've said yourself before, you really want to keep JDMST a positive community, there is no real other way other than getting everyone involved, or feeling like they're involved.

I know it may be easier said than done, but I hope what I've said gives you some ideas. If you need help with web related stuff, let me know.

I do prefer the old design but I would like to still see the blog/lastest JDM news in there somewhere.
Maybe could make it another button like forum, mugshots, etc etc

Well the old design does have a news column, it's just text based though and not like the blog which had images.

Justin, just something I've noticed about the forum/homepage whilst browsing. A little bit of a bug i suppose. When you come to the homepage (http://www.jdmstyletuning.com/) and click on the forum link, it loads the forum up. But it doesn't change the url up in the address bar too (http://forum.jdmstyletuning.com/) Just a little annoying when you hit the refresh button in the forum, and your re-directed to the homepage.
