Awesome price man, real nice. Hope you can get those stains out though!
hey van what would you recomend to use to remove those stains? I might ask my mum if I can use her grease and grime remover (for the kitchen) hehe.
The seat on the left is stained from Crayons.

Steam cleaner FTW! I had heaps of stains on my recaro's. Just get them steam cleaned... it's amazing how well those things work! I hired a steam cleaner from woolies and DIY'ed it.
Crayons WTF?! why would a JDM whore have crayons?

They are real arn't they?
yes they are! Bride written all over it including the handle recliner knobs and recliner puller.....Unreal price.
Guess what car it came off?
A Delica! WTH is a DELICA! haahaha! The guy I bought it off obviously didnt know how "special" Bride seat brand is hehee.....soon as I emailed him - left my number and offered $600 cash upfront 'today only' for some reason he couldnt resist!
There was also a week to go til the bid ended!
....Does anyone know if they are Ergo's or Xax's??
it came off this type of vehicle 'Delica'

Bargain, hope they are real tho, here is a fake one, that looks very close to real!
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Bride-Style-seat-SUBARU-NISSAN-MAZDA-HONDA-TOYOTA_W0QQitemZ230061671167QQihZ013QQcategoryZ438 09QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
the bride branding on the seat isn't anything hard to replicate look at the one in the ebay link bride tags all over it. They even have the bride booklet :s........ unless they are selling products which is not the ones pictured.
But seriously, for $600 real/fake who cares fucking good price
hehe...yes they are real.
Bride Ergo I's....came already with Bride Rails from a Delica as pictured above.
Bride Ergo I's pictured below. ErgoI's, Brix I's only came with black logo stitch. Different side bolsters to Ergo II's and use Bride MO-Type Rails which also the Delica used. ErgoII's use RO-Type rails and white logo stitch.
http://www.5zigen.com.au/images/seats/ergo.jpg
http://www.5zigen.com.au/images/seats/brix.jpg
Black Ergo I's Gradient and Red Brix I's.
Well anyway, Im confident mine are real because the fact they already came with Bride Rails (bride manufacturer sticker product code number all) on it from the Delica with the Delica Chassis code PA##
Plus Bride is embossed on the Puller handle thingies and on the Recliner knob.
My cousin bought a pair of fake Oakleys that I had a really hard time telling apart the real deal, after we took them to a surf shop to compare them.
hehe, I spotted the fake parts out the Bride style seat on your ebay link!
Real ones dont come with bride Tags.. That one does and even the stitching on the tag of the hugging monster looks dodgy. My doesnt have any Tags.
The Hugging monster looks funny too.
Also look at the Gradiation on the Ebay one and compare it to the Gradiation on the black one I posted above. See how thinner the Bride wording is on the Ebay one compared to the evenly spacing wording on the black one I posted above.
Also the Ebay one has a different gradiation colour trend to it, compare it to the real one I posted too.
One more point to clear it up, Mine (repeat) came off a Delica, which was imported from Japan and the owner had to get rid of the Bride Seats for Compliance. Im sure if from Japan they would be Genuine.
yeh, clearly the owner had no idea what they were worth and wanted to get rid of them asap :) good buy chesta.

Definitely a good buy.
thanks Ray and Justin!
Ordered and paid for a LH & RH - Bride MO Rails today from Zi and Yonas.....I hope they come before xmas (some xmas delays in Japan) so I can bolt them in.
JDMyard have give EXCELLENT prices.....I spoke to the guy from SHIFT Performance and he quoted me $778 for the pair of rails! JDMyard was nearly half of that.
Oh sorry guys, one more point which I forgot to add in my last post is that Mine has the Puller lever thingy above the recliner knob, the Ebay one doesnt have the puller lever.
Nice pickup - lucky for you the seller didn't know the Bride label.

Red Ergo and Brix
hmmnn! Points to be corrected!!
ok, ok....Bride Brix II, Ergo II and Xax II - Do have tags. II's - dont have the puller lever for quick recline for access to back seats.
Bride Brix I, Ergo I and Xax I dont have tags. I's - have the puller lever above the recliner knob.
Even though the II's have the Tags you can easily identify the imposter:
Genuine Tag
http://i17.ebayimg.com/01/i/000/7d/ab/1f06_12.JPG

Congrats on the purchase.
I'm still not convinced that they're real though. You can still buy fake Bride's in Japan.
The seat cushion area at the front looks strange. I didn't think the genuine ones had the upholestery stapled under so loosely.

Regardless though, at that price that's a really, really good buy!!! At that price it doesn't matter if they're real or fake. They look the goods dude. Very hot.
....I guess thats the wear of the Ergo I's. They are 6 years old.
I believe they are genuinely real until someone can prove me wrong that they made fake Ergo I's! Remember Ergo I's were made in the year 2000.
So far I have only seen Fake copies of Bride II series, only in black.
Also, try searching for Ergo I's, or any other Bride Series I seats (Ergo I, Brix I and Xax I). Since they were made around the year 2000 era, they are extrememly rare...most Brix, Ergo's and Xax's you see these days are Series II's.
Congrats on the purchase.
You can still buy fake Bride's in Japan.
Where? how do you know?

In my previous post I said it could be the 6year old wear and tear BUT from looking at the Black Ergo I pic below, it seems the "ERGO I" originally had loose upholestery from factory, pic below looks the same, its slightly wrapped over a metal brace.
http://bag10pr000.auc.bbt.yahoo.co.jp/users/4/3/3/7/dachshund_fendi2-imgbatch_1165622928/600x500-2006120200016.jpg
Pic from the bottom of my seat with MO rails specifically for the Mitsubishi Delica and Delica Chassis number. Bride MO rails only Suit Bride Series I seats. Series I seats has special 4 holes where the MO rail will only fit. I dont think Bride MO Type rails will fit any fake seats. Even the RO Rails for Series II seats wont fit the Series I seats because the rail holes are spread further apart and are mounted on the actual sliders itself where as the MO rail is mounted on middle brace attached to the sliders.
http://bag01pr000.ac.yahoo.co.jp/users/8/8/2/6/moh_auctions-imgbatch_1165454712/600x504-2006061500083-85.jpg

Chassis code on Delica rail: GOOGLE - PA4W
...and also from looking the black ergo I seat pictured, the way the bottom of that upholstery fabric trend is showing a ripple trend of 2 on each side. Which seems to be right because when you look at the bottom of my seat there are 2 staples holding the fabric on each side thus the same ripple marks. That explains the loose fabric.
:D ;)

yeh, i'm pretty sure they are real, otherwise the bride rails won't bolt up exactly. you could prob call them ergo 1.5 as well the really early day ergo's didnt have 'bride' written across the headrest section ;)
I really hate to break this to you. They're fakes.
I've been selling Bride seats for a while and have compared them to these ones.
Long story short, a client of mine told me that he bought a pair of these for 1200 new. He then subsiquently bought Bride rails off me. Calls me up and said they didnt fit so i went over there. Straight away I could see they were fakes.
- genuine seats weigh heaps more
- Ergo logo is embossed on the bottom cushion
- the fabric is different
- the cushion is more rigid, the fakes are softer and more square
- the frame does not flex, the fakes do
And the easiest give away are the centre and seat cushions. Genuine seats are fully detachable. These ones are stapled on.

Really Eugene.... The centre of my Brix seat is held in by velcro, but the underside at the front is stapled on like that one in the pic... but I am pretty sure mine isn't a fake, well I hope it isn't! Doesn't matter anyways cause I am gonna get a new one sometime anyways :D
Thanks for clearing up the differences between real VS fake!
Its scarey how 'real looking' some can be.

Hey Dale,
The ones that i inspected were definitely not removable. I remember seeing your seat, that's a Brix I right?

right nows probably steam coming out of his ears
I really hate to break this to you. They're fakes.

Long story short, a client of mine told me that he bought a pair of these for 1200 new. He then subsiquently bought Bride rails off me. Calls me up and said they didnt fit so i went over there. .
Sorry to break this to you as well, The #PA4W (Chassis code for a Mitsubishi Delica) DO fit the seat I have because they came with them bolted on and I took them off because I have an FD, which I require FD rails, and they are ERGO I seats which also have MO-Type rails fitted from the Delica.
Then explain why the above fits.
- genuine seats weigh heaps more
- Ergo logo is embossed on the bottom cushion
- the fabric is different
- the cushion is more rigid, the fakes are softer and more square
- the frame does not flex, the fakes do
-My seats DO weigh more, abit less than my stock FD seats
-Im sure NOT every Bride seat is going to have them embossed. Remember mine is an ERGO I. Its an ERGO I
-Fabric is not suede or alcantra or anything like that, it is the same fabric as my mates BRIX I's in his FD.
-Cushion, my cusion is square (theigh area) because again mine are ERGO I's. Have you ever compared the ERGO I's to ERGO II's?? The are different shaped. Like ie. Compare that BLACK ERGO I's seat I posted above or the other page and google ERGO II then compare. Do it.
-Are you talking about the bottom steel Frame in the pic I was "Trying to squeeze"? No, Mine Does not flex, mine are pure hard metal, in the picture they did not bend, I had to "pinch" the fabric around it to show definition of the brace. If you think that I was actually flexing it then i must be SUPERMAN.
Haha i aint steaming. I just dont like how people jump on the bandwagon and do burnouts hehe.
I know mine are real - Trust me.
MXFLY - please explain:
Why do the Bride Rails PA4W (#chasis code for Mitsubishi Delica) fit my seats? Exactly too. As I have posted above. They were already bolted on the seat before I removed them.
They are MO-Type Rails which ONLY fit the first generation Bride Ergo's and Brix...which I have (ERGO I's).
Like I said in my previous post.
Google - Bride Ergo I's.
Goodluck finding any, they are EXTREMELY Rare.
Rare as, and definetly genuine.

quickly reading this again and sounds like you are comparing my Ergo I's to series II's buddy.
read my posts in page 2. :D ;)
I know your an importer and all but..
You should really get some facts straight first before you come out like this.
Again.....my seats BRIDE ERGO I's and NOT ERGO II's.
When was the last time you have seen Ergo I's?;) :D
Also, you cant Compare BRIX's to ERGO's to XAX's whether they are I's or II's because each name is a totally different seat, padding and underlining.

Indeed purchased off a person who had just Bought a imported Delica from Japan and he needed to remove the seats for compliance, Because BRIDE are NOT ADR Complied.
By that token, fake Brides aren't ADR tested either. Just because it came from Japan doesn't automagically make them legitimate seats. I've seen a few import cars straight out their containers with some dodgey gear in them. I digress however. At the end of the day if you're satisfied with your purchase it shouldn't matter what anybody here says.
It's all good trdboy, I'm not trying to put you or your seats down. There are ppl out there who are selling fake seats and claim they are 100% genuine. That really shits me because
1. ppl are getting ripped off and they dont even know it.
2. ppl who are using these fake seats are risking their lives because these seats are so flimsy, they can be lethal in an event of an accident.
3. and i'm not selling as much seats.. lol
I apologise if you found my post to be offsensive.
I know yours are Ergo I (or even 1.5). I've imported a few of those as well before. But you can still remove the cushion.
After seeing the fakes myself, I can easily tell if they are real or not. If I inspected your seats, I can determine their authenticity in 10 seconds.
Regardless, 600 bucks is a great deal :)

You're 100% correct. The fake Brides going around came directly from the Land of the Rising Sun.
no problemo's dude.
I know mine are real. Seeing that:
1) Mine are Ergo I's (VERY Rare)
2) Mine came with Bride MO-Type Rails which only suite Ergo I's
3) Mine came off an Imported Delica which specific has the Chassis number on the MO-Type rails to suit the Delica PA4W
4) They fit perfectly well with the rails, and were bought off a private ebay seller (who also owns a Delica - seen it with my own eyes when he delivered the seats in the Delica Van)
I understand how you feel about the people making fake Brides, I feel the same way too when you and other have said that about my seat just because I purchased them for a really good price.
I bet you if I said I bought them for $2000.00 with rails people would not have come up with the fake issues.
The seats I bought are real ;) :D

Ok ok fellas, this will be the last time I spam on this thread for once and for all.
Here are the Differences between Bride Series 1's (Ergo I, Brix I, Xax I recliners) and Bride Series 2's (Ergo II, Brix II, Xax II recliners)
BRIDE SERIES 1's (including 1.5's) recliners
>White stitched Bride Logo on others except Red seat has dark grey stitch Bride logo only (Logo's on head rest)
>No Logo's behind head rest
>Has puller lever for quick seat fold
>Has recliner knob
>Available in Black, Red, or Purple or combination with Gradation
>Is the original and first of the Bride Recliners made which is why the older versions have "hooked" (staple like) bottoms with velcro detachable cushions on top.
>The Brix is the most supportive of the three reclining seats, it has the most side and knee support.
>The Ergo is more in between circuit use and daily driving, it has less support in the side and knee than the Brix but will still hold the user nicely in the seat.
>The Xax use the old ergo measurements. It is made for easy going in and out of the vehicle for the drivers who are using these either on the track or on the street.
>ONLY use Bride MO-Type Rail and use specific vehicle chassis numbers to fit your ride
BRIDE SERIES 2's recliners
>White Bride Logo stitch on all colors on head rest
>No more dark grey logo stitch
>White Bride Logo stitch NOW on rear of head rest
>have a quick release bar to fold the seats for rear passenger access.
>Has recliner knob
>Available in Black, Red, Blue or combination with Gradation
>Has Holding Monster logo tag only on left hand side of the seat above the recliner knob (ie.left side sitting on seat)
>Has Bride embossed below the bottom of the cushion
>Is the newer version and is now fully clip on detachable cushion, older model has staples, yet detachable but not to the full extent as this
>Now has improved side and knee support over the previous version (Series I's) and new Bride fabric materials, the reclining seats will hold u in place more than ever.
>The Brix II is the most supportive of the three reclining seats, it has the most side and knee support, also has a newer head and shoulder shape.
>The Ergo II is more in between circuit use and daily driving, it has less support in the side and knee than the Brix but will still hold the user nicely in the seat, also has the newer head, shoulder, side and knee support shape.
>The Xax II use the old ergo measurements. It is made for easy going in and out of the vehicle for the drivers who are using these either on the track or on the street, also has the newer head, shoulder shape with lesser support on the side.
>Can use Bride RO-Type Rails + MO-Type from Series 1 and use specific vehicle chassis numbers to fit your ride

Dude it's not "SPAM", it's actually useful information... that all of us can learn from.
They sound pretty real to me. Btw are you a lawyer/detective of some sort... you can prove stuff quite well. lol.
damn! those seats are soo tempting....can't beleive yout got it so cheap and its real! I sold a pair of sparcos non-recliners for $500 lolz...
trdboy,
I have to correct you on some of those points.
- Brix II (Ergo II and others) do have a quick release bar to fold the seats for rear passenger access.
- Seats are also available in blue.
- Cushions are not velcro attached. They are clip ons.
- You can use MO-Type rails as well, no need to just use RO.
All of your other points i concur. :)
Oh yeah, thsoe points outlined above are applicable for the series II seats.
thank you MXFLY for the valid corrections, i have updated:D .
Btw, where is the quick release fold on the Series II seat:-o ? Is it the button below the recliner knob:???: ?
It's a black bar behind the seat. You just pull it up and voila!

And here's what Brix II's look like :)

ewdR has one for sale....
he wasa asking about 1500-1600 for one?
Really? are they Gias Carbon fibre new in red? and not Gias sport and Stradia Sport because they are fiberglass. That would be for one also.
Mate of mine can get a pair from a yahoo auctions Japan trader, he's ok with the seats getting sent from the trader to his home in Japan, but he's not keen on shipping them out for me from his place in Japan to Sydney. Dammit.
I use Brix II in one car and Zeta III in another. The Zeta I get the shits after driving for prolonged periods. The Brix you can drive all day without any trouble.
Although i've never sat on Gias before, the thin cushioning/padding seems to be similar to Zetas. So my bet would be a bit uncomfortable on long drives.
The Cuga will be in my car very soon... :)
Hey nice Eugene!
Are the Cuga's cheaper than the gias? Because they do look more comfortable than Gias, new too, but I really like that CF look on the Gias.
Might go Gias for me (Drivers side) and something comfortable for the Mrs on the passenger side. She's already got sore back aches from taking that needle thing from having a baby and no doubt she will kick my ass if I got Gias on the passenger side which you say might be uncomfortable.

yep its carbon kevlar back. and in red as well. give ewd-r a pm on ozhonda. he has been trying to sell it for a while now.
thanks Charles, thats a great price for the Gias. I will call them up.
thanks Fly, i'll check ozhonda too.
yeh the gias have VERY thin padding and after like a little time in them, my back started to hurt
i have a brix II and imo the most comfortable seat i drove to gold coast n back in my car and i was fine didnt even worry me
thanks Blistc, making me think twice about those Gias'. I might look into the Cuga's as well.
Anyway went into OZ honda, wont let me register with my Gmail address, I tried my work address and it work, only problem is I wont be back at work til mid next week for me to activate the registration.

Found this on OZ honda too....what do you reckon?
"This may be handy for ppl who are unsure about the ADR bullshit that flys around about aftermarket seats....What i have learnt is that there is no such thing as an ADR Approved seat...There never has been...providing a seat is made to Australian Standards and is engineered in the car (w/ a modification plate) there is nothing a Police Officer or D.O.T Officer can do...Alternatively if a seat is FIA Approved that means it automatically meets Australian Standards.
For example even though a BRIDE Zeta is not ADR Approved but it is FIA Approved ie it meets Australian Standards, then if it is Engineered than it is completely legal to have the seat in the car.
This is not to say that an Engineer can't refuse to engineer a seat......hell know its there arse if you kill yourself so if they feel the seat isnt up to Aus Standards there well within there right to refuse Engineering Ceetification.
So what i would reccomend is find out if the seat is FIA Approved then if it meets Australian Standards. Call up the engineer and ask....dont go spending 1K on seats that arent gonna be legal anyways talk to the engineer and ask for there advice...
I hope this helps everyone as i believe there is a huge misunderstanding about the rules and regulations.

just for curiousity... you say if a seat is FIA appoved it is legal here in Aust. Does this also apply to race harnesses? (ie: Takata harness or the likes)

Id like to know too!
Bride, Recaro, Momo, Sparco, Velo are all FIA Approved, but Bride isnt ADR approved. Like what the guy said in my previous post, does that mean if I get the Gias, Ergo or whatever engineered will make them legal??

If you want, I can call em up. Might be able to get it a bit cheaper. Let me know.
thanks Charles ! I will let you know. Hopefully they will still have stock left by the time i get them.
Didnt realise my car was out of REGO! Craaaap. Even took the car around the block without seat rails too just to dust her off...lucky.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v202/djchesta/DSCF0987-1.jpg
seen these up for sale too for you Recaro peeps. My mate wants the plain black ones.
RECARO (http://www.ozhonda.com/forum/showthread.php?t=57538)
the gias for sale by edw-r is used hence the price.
:) ....bought the Gias from Edward, shipping today..hopefully arrrive next week
Its only 1 though.
Charles, I will get back to you about getting 1 more Gias seat. So tempting to get the seat now and pay rego later hehe, but Rego's first.
Thanks Yonas and Zi - JDMyard for my new slick az pair of Bo-ree-deh Rails! The box is massive! Woohoo...
what's great too, because MO-Type rails are actually RO-Type rails just without the braces (can remove them) I can actually use the rails for the Gias' (RO's and LR's fit Gias) since ive sold the Ergo's.
Does anyone know if those cheap JustJap black seats fit Bride rails? If so I might buy one for the meantime until I get the other Gias if not I may resort to borrowing my mate Avex's FD passenger seat since he now has RZ Recaro's.
Those Just Jap seats do not fit Bride rails. I've tried it before.
cool thanks Eugene..
that crosses that off the list  .
Looks like borrowing the seat is the way to go, I just dont like the feeling of 'borrowing', im the type who likes to have his own.

Whilst we're all talking about Brides, how wide are the Ergos compared to the rest of the Bride range? I'm possibly looking at getting one, just worried if I will fit into it or not..
