dam.. thats alot of food he must go through'..!!! very nice fish & tank.. they look of good age too.
very asian.. hehehe needs an oscar or flagtail or dat' tiger or shovelnose =P
im guessing they grew up with eachother so thats why they arent killing eachother'
tropical freahwater or heated tanks isnt hard - alot nicer than gold fish IMO. more interactive and isnt hard to maintain at all.
goldfish tank usually use water conditioner too? so do heated/top tanks. both use filters. so the only difference is the heater...
and depending wat fish maybe the ph/hardness. but thats easy cuz you can use buffers - limestone, sandstone, coral sand, dirftwood etc
the bigger the tank usually the easier to maintain for example - 2ft compared to a 4ft.. same amount of fish. the 4ft would be much easier to care for. It gets dirty slower - water quality would be better - if you dont overstock the tank and have a good filter system is all good.
you dont have to do water changes weekly unless your really into it (which is only 20-30% of the water in the tank).. i do weekly ones since my tanks are pretty ful so it needs it. but if i miss a wk or 2 they arent gonna die' =P
water temp is 26-28C ideally... in summer it might get to 30- 32 which is WAY to high... i dont even plug in heaters in summer. .. just add more air into the water
(airstone or something) and do more water changes to keep the temp down.
fish are great. so many different types. to suit so manye different people.
thought its every 2-3weeks for a water change :|
but im still lazy and dont do it that often![]()
