hi guys ive been lurking around here for a while and i thought i'd make and introduction and ride thread.
well it all started 1 and a half years ago i was driving home one night in my beloved civic when i saw 2 headlights come close to my rear. i hate tailgaters.
i heard the revs of what i thought to be somebody who wanted to play with me so i put down the throttle and sped down the road when all of a sudden i saw flashing red + blue lights and a siren.... ***!
soon after i was suspended for 1 and a half years due to prior traffic offences and made the choice to sell the 8th gen .
so after one and a half years of taxis buses and trains i decided to get a car again.
i had saved up just under 15 thousand and was trying to decided on what my new ride was to be.
there were a few wants and restrictions. it must be a manual, it cannot be a turbo or high performance ( ***en p's ). and it must be reasonably fast.
*( note that alot of cars are faster than my 2 previous car 7th gen civic gli 8th gen civic vti )
After a month of research i narrowed it down to a few cars.
After much thought i had decided that the mr2 and the 300's were too old and wouldve been too thrashed and i had heard that
the rx liberty's were agonisingly slow so that narrowed it down to 1... the honda prelude bb6 vti-r.
After half a year of checking car sales and various other sites i was frustrated to find that i just could not find a prelude to
fit my criteria in time to when my license was due back. that being reasonably low kms, manual and in my budget.
so i started to rush things and decided to get a worked prelude so that i could drive on the day that my license came bak.
so here it is !
hahah funny thing is after 1 and a half years of being suspended i had found out after i went to the rta to get my P's back that if you've lost too many points you will be suspended for a further 3 months.
so they let me drive for 1 month and then they suspended me again .
and now here i am 15 days to go till i get my P's back for good. but hey who's counting

Any plan on what ecu or tuneable app your going to use?

Whats that got to do with a prelude?
Lots of potential. Put them Buddy Club's on, and paint that bonnet and boot back to normal

j - it came that way wen i bought it .. i think it looks kinda tuff but dimi has been telling me even before ibought the car to get rid of it n im kinda torn between what to do. what do u rekon? or dus it look like kinder surprise?
dimi- its going on this friday! i mite toss a coin abt the bonnet.
Ditch the kinder surprise look! but that said, getting the panels resprayed and colour matched is PITA. If it doesn't bother you keep it
Seems like you've put some work into the motor, not many prelude owners in oz ever do anything but put a huge pod in there.
