Um, I don't think they are. Pretty much perpendicular.

When it went in for an alignment with John Fowler at wheels world, he was really surprised with how stiff the car was. He usually does alignment on high end cars (Porsches et al) and was very pleased with this one. He said the height was a good compromise for a car to be used on street (mostly) and track (occasionally).

lol i dont think you mean perpendicular.... parallel maybe?
if so that is the perfect height for your car - meaning that the centre of gravity is balanced, hence why it would handle so well

Perpendicular to the wheel, so yeah parallel to the ground...sorry. I was originally going to run Ikeya Formula Lower Control Arms front and rear, but after trying to get a base geometry set, I gave up on them. For my mainly street use they would have been overkill. The stock/Nismo front/rear LCA's work fine and if I really need to change anything down the track if I go lower, I can get some of those Moonface Racing (MFR) Roll centre adjusters.

Awesome car. Such a shame more S13s don't follow the lead of this car.

Thanks Babs. There's plenty I might have done differently now in hindsight, but that's mainly in the early prep of the car - things like soda blasting the shell to start with. But hindsight can be a bitch like that.

Brendan is right, he is super anal-retentive. You cant argue with the results though.
Everything either of us do car-wise is run past the other...

Beautiful build... not quite what I would do, but I definitely appreciate the work that has gone into it.

It is a pity Australian Police are so strict about ride height, the car would look amazing lower.

Just spotted that myself on my morning news session. Tops. What is it with people being obsessed about having a low car...especially on the street!

Cars look better low Also remember that Speedhunters is full of JDM fanboys and SoCal people, so lowness is a way of life.

What is it with people being obsessed about having perfect geometry and high performance... especially on the street!

If we were being sensible we would all have stock Hybrid Estima vans

edit: The beauty of it is that nobody would have their car the same as yours, so it means that your car is REALLY your car. Within a few seconds of looking it is easy to understand the thinking behind almost any modified car. Most cars are just a project with a goal that has yet to be reached. Others are finished with the compromises that real life imposes. On internet we all have infinity dollars and no police so we can be as silly as we like with mods.

thats what i was thinking, i know my car is low but its too low and has put the centre of gravity waaay out... good to see some people know about what height is perfect for the car
