Great interview and pics! My mx5 has had some obvious influences from your car

btw...Are you intending to get the old school GT-T badge for the front?

    You mean this badge?

Well, no, wasn't planning to. My car is a replica, not a real 2000GT-R.

yes that badge. I was meant to type GT-R Fair enough then, I always thought it was a KPGC-10, closer inspection of the first page tells me its a KGC-10..My bad

Nah, the difference between a replica and the real thing is about $60,000, and I ain't that baller

great interview, pics, and to read. what a brilliant car; its always nice to have something different.

    on this note though:
I think the original 2000GTR is like the aussie Falcon GTHO in a way
definetley for legendary status; but as far as cars go the GT-R skyline makes the same period GT-HO low-tech and clumsy in comparison! they actually moreso remind me of the XU-1 spec Torana's...

Wow! Awesome write-up and amazing photos. Great work guys, all three of you.

And I got a mention, so that of course contributed to the interview being awesome.

"Hako is one of those cars you really have to see in the flesh to appreciate. Of course I'd seen lots of pictures of them over the years but in real life I was quite blown away."

This is absolutely spot on. I'd seen plenty of pictures of the build on here.. But the first time I drove past it on the street and saw it up close it was just amazing and same with most things out there.. theres only so much a photograph can do and seeing/experiencing something for yourself is just that much better.

Congratulations to Babalouie on the build. Those L-series engines are bomb proof. Nissan owes you big for preserving a piece of their history.

It's so inspiring to have enthusiasts such as Babs in the JDMST community. Fantastic work on the article JF and Kelv.
