    The pink wheels look great in terms of style, but I probably wouldn't go for pink myself haha. That car definitely looks awesome though! Love the blacked out tail lights. Makes those shitty series 2 lights look a bit better

    And some more pics from the Toyota Technocraft factory (TRD) where they modified standard (N/A) SW20's just off the production line into the MR Spider (sold off the showroom floor as a factory model with a Toyota Technocraft build plate).
    There were reportedly only 100 of these made, started in '96 (not sure how long production went for). It was only available as an N/A model, and used some extensive bracing (and the sexy TRD strut brace) to try and stiffen up the chopped-roof chassis. I know of 2 that have made it to Aus.

    Holy crap. Man, things sure have changed in the world of car manufacturing. Those photos show how much of a dingy factory-like environment a lot of manufacturing plants were back then, whereas these days they're required to be a hell of a lot cleaner, and of course most of it is done by robotics and such. Whack.

    I don't really think it is as dirty as one would think van. The photos are pretty old, and aren't of the best quality, so there's a good chance that the factories weren't as dirty as they appear.

    But OMG!! Look at all those engines!! I said it before, and I'll say it again, the MR2 is such a beautiful car!

    The tinted taillights on the one with the pink wheels are awesome.

    It definately needs wheels in black or gunmetal to go with the rest of the colour scheme but

    That silver car Ive seen in person....stunning 2 pushing 400bhp.

    Just to clear up the diff in 0-60 for NA and turbo is mahoosive. Based on Stock powers.

    NA:

    rev1 - 7.2
    rev2 - 7.7
    rev3+ - 7.8
    BEAMS (vvti): Around 6.5ish

    Turbo:

    rev1 - 5.9
    rev2 - 5.7
    rev3+ - 5.2/3


    Plus the extra 100lbs of torque is noticeable...trust me...I had an NA for a year n half until I sat in a turbo.

    I'm surprised the NA MR2 is slower than the NA Supra... I know the engines are different, but so are the bodies. Oh well, that's the difference a 3ltr 6cyl makes I guess!

    woo, even the almighty BEAMS NA engine is slower then the first revision of the Turbo'ed engines. But Im sure the NA is still tonnes of fun, I will always consider getting a NA model over a Turbo'ed one (except for Supra), unless the NA model is utter crap.

    Saw a lovely white, mildly tuned AW11 tonight, was pr0n for any MR2 lover.
