Whilst the BMW has been serving me well I have still been driving the Skyline equally as much.

Today there was a Japanese Car & Bike meet in Newcastle. Was nice to have a decent turnout for a local meet for a change. Weather was mint too.

Here's my car, gave it a wash and cleaned up a few things, not that you can really tell.

And while I was under the car yesterday I noticed these two things that need rectifying. One crack in the extractors (not surprised as it's the lowest point of the whole exhaust system) and a hole in the muffler. This is an odd one, looks like it's rusting out. :/ Cheap piece of crap.

So from now until November I'll be doing a few tasks leading up to Wakefield Matsuri event!

Yeah it's a real shame, sounds like it will be back though.

Jimmy, how about the hillclimb in Newcastle on Sunday?

At the Ringwood track? I have been planning to do a hillclimb event for a while, although this weekend does not suit me unfortunately.

Yep at Ringwood. I'm keen for it!

There seems to be a Hillclimb at Ringwood every few months. Is there another track being built there?

It's been in planning for like 10 years but yeah they want to build a proper circuit at ringwood. They have the paved hillclimb circuit and the dirt khanacross type one there now from memory.

So I booked in and paid for a wet skidpan event for this Sunday...

But then this, of course, happened.

So now I am not going drifting.

However if you enjoy my Car Diaries then you may be interested to head over to Euro Style Tuning where I have some gradual progress on the 740iL, including clear indicator rear lights, window motor assembly replacement, front kidney grille replacement and other various pieces.

Shame about the defect mate. I do love the e38 though. Considered one before i got the stagea. I just wasn't prepared to fork out the money for all the common faults, and worn out items. because i'm picky.

Tried finding one that had at least most of the picky bits done, eg: the awesome water cooled alternator.
