Quick update from Practice today for Superlap tomorrow/sat.
Day filled with drama's. Out of the possible 6-7 session we only could take part in 3. Nearly ended up tearing the whole car apart to find a electrical gremlin earlier in the day, came out to be fuse box plug disconnecting itself .
Then we had exhaust issues, with the sustained rpm's the exhaust got too hot and being alloy it couldn't handle the extra heat from the added power and decided to collapse. Had to make a quick trip down to Liverpool Exhaust to get the hole in the alloy fixed. Big props to Shev and the crew at Liverpool exhaust, they dropped all jobs and got 2 guys to fix the hole up for the mean time so we could head back to EC and do some more shakedowns.
We manage to get 2-3 hot laps in the next session before again blowing a hole in the exhaust. Got some really good data from those laps, we have analyse it briefly and the car has headed in the right direction.
Car was equipped with brand new A050, we didn't want to overheat the tyres first cycle still managing a new p.b 1.42.9. Car has plenty in it still, possible 1.40's are on the cards.
Car found its way at Liverpool Exhaust to get a mild steel setup made, once again they had dropped all jobs and finish a new exhaust within one hr! Great effort!
Car finally ended back at Eastern Creek around 5.30. Car has been prep and will be ready to rock for Session 1 tomorrow.
Tyres are being rested overnight now, all been scrub in. We'll have green tyres good to go first thing in the morning!

Update- Day 1 @ Superlap
Mix feelings, not a great deal of track time at all. Our first session was cancel due to s15 banking the wall on its warm up lap. This was the session IMO to secure the fastest time which some cars did lay down and never bettered today.
The car did register a new p.b 1.41.2 on its second session first lap before the tps sensor decided to leave part from the intake manifold.
Car's optimal lap over the last 2 days could of seen it into 1.40.3's.
Will be turning the wick up and leaning out the tune tomorrow for more hp and see if we can break into the 1.40's if not 1.39's.
On a positive note, US based Modified Car magazine stayed back after hrs today to do a quick photo shoot. Thanks Peter.
