Can we wind the aggression back a bit please folks? Some of the posts in the last few weeks have had a pretty strong smack of attitude to them, and there's just no place for that here. If someone posts something that you feel is stupid or idiotic, well that's a shame. Nobody likes dealing with idiots.
But as it turns out, firing back some aggressive/mean/angry post isn't going to make it go away.
Believe what you like, but small instances of mildly aggressive posts seem like a pretty good start for the breakdown of a community. I can't make you be nicer, and I can't ban someone just because they make a slightly angry post (and nobody wants to be banning anyone here anyway), but just think about it a bit, is all. There's nothing to gain by venting your anger at someone on the forum.
So like I said. If someone posts something stupid, or something that makes it look like they haven't thought about their post or they haven't researched first, or whatever... by all means, point them in the right direction. Let them know they're wrong. But do it the same way you'd do it with a stranger or acquaintance offline. Be polite. I assume you wouldn't do your block at someone in the street, so please try not to do it here.
For what it's worth, I'm guilty of the same thing and it's something I need to work on. I'm not pretending I'm not a part of the problem, that's for sure!
