Sorry - I misunderstood - I thought you were talking about an oil cooler design where the thermostat is built into the end tank of the oil cooler itself. I've seen a couple of oil coolers in the US like that.

You're talking about a thermostat in the sandwich plate between the oil filter and the oil filter mounting on the engine block right ?
