It should be I love box

So does anyone here have a strut brace bar or sway bars for our cubes? I want to improve the handling a tad.

hey guys...finally got my cube and everything is swell...

just making some non permament modifications to my car and came acroos a shocker of a problem...
the rear window wiper wont come out. not the actual blade but the whole unit. i kinda need to take it out but for some reason, after i remove the nut the thing wont come out. it may even be glued on by the looks of it. does anyone know how to get this out? ^^

this is the damn problem. hmmm wd40 didnt do nothing and it really seems like its stuck. tried tapping it with a mallet. no go and nearly blunted the whole thread.

if anyone has suggestions it would be deeply appreciated...

she is all naked and ready to be......hmmm modified ( i think forum rules wont let me say anything since its related to my business and im not a sponsor yet ^^ )

hmm also i have noted something weird about this cube. i dont know if it is just my one or what but the rear number plate light bracket is so badly rusted that now ill have to somehow grind or chemically treat it and then prime it and paint it. im so surprised at the condition of this whole thing. i would hate to see other forum members cars being rusty because of this. its actually not held onto anything metallic but gees..... rust spreads and it seems like some little bits of rust is happening down the rear end after you remove the bumper. tiny bits. mine is a 2007 and i guess this is what happens to cars from countries that snow alot. the salty roads really wreak havoc on cars. gonna have to go under the car and see if everything is ok tommorrow.

    some images

maybe it is a known problem but who knows? so there goes my 2 cents worth...

    hey Kyu

    hehehehe you repainting ????

as for the rear wiper, i usually give it a good yanking up and down and usually comes loose, but im guessing you have tried that
    you shaving it off???

    and rear plate light bracket
mine was the same with surface rust when i took my bar off too
i just sanded it back and re-painted in black

hope your car is ready and see you at the meet on 11/10/2011

    definately not repainting. ^^

i had to undo the whole wiper motor so my brother could hold it since i thought i was going to break the whole window down.... hmmmm
i dont think it is going to be such a huge issue its just that seriously. it seems to be glued on....

is the wiper unit actually connected to the pump as in will the actual arm of the motor come off with it?

or would there just be the metal rod sticking out the window if i took this off? i cant seriously figure out how it is put together...

hmmmm meet and greet i suppose but yeah i should be fine for that... i hope to see you too and thanks for your input...

i just grinded the whole bracket as much as i could and now is dunked in anti rust fluid.. will be in there for quite some time by the looks of it...

the wiper arm should come off the thread. there is a spline and sometimes they can be quite tight.
you should be able to wriggle it off, but try using a small puller to make life easy.

once the arm is off, the thread will remain.
if you want the thread gone you will need to remove the motor from inside the door.

The Wiper arm should come off the motor, Remove the nut, then the arm comes off, most are VERY stuck, persevere with it and it will come off.

The arm is on a tapered spline, all you need to do is fold the wiper up off the rear screen, then with one hand between the glass and wiper arm and the other holding supporting the wiper arm, gently wriggle it back and forth, it will slowly but surely come off, there is no hidden screws.

Hey chris, my flares came with the car, but you can get a genuine set if you search on yahoo japan, or use import monster if you find it hard to browse.

If you dont mind having copies, Iron Chef on this forum has made replicas so he may be able to help you, there are other sources but i cant remember of the top of my head what they are
