It will be a case of whether or not Nissan Japan is prepared to pay Nissan Australia to do the recall work.
what are the chances of that happening??
my cube is an 02 model? not sure when engine was built though..
It's an Ignition Relay Problem. Could cause the car to stall while driving. From 2003 to 2006 for the March, Tote , Tiida, Micra and Cube. Earlier in the year the Nissan Cube 2009 and 2010 models had a recall due to a faulty fuel system.
I'll be interested to see what could be done. Though Nissan Australia would have no obligation to sort out our grey imports I wouldn't imagine.
You'd be surprised Juliette, it really depends on whether Nissan Japan will fork out the cash for dealerships here to do the work, that's how the system works. If Nissan Japan pays, no service centre will turn down recall work![]()
yeah thats what i was thinking as well chef... the article did say it was a "global recall" so maybe if someone could get in touch with Nissan JP we could get some kind idea if they can help us out
It's a pain that there's very little in the way of published detail, Nissan UK said it was contacting owners..
I'd rather they tell me which chassis no. range is affected.
Ok grab your chassis numbers kids -

Type in BZ11 or BGZ11 or whatever your model code is into the left box, and the rest of the chassis number into the right box.
Nothing is in place to say what needs to be done yet, but my car, for example, is on the recall list, dated 2010/10/28.
Just saw a silver bz11 on dandy bypass ... Plates were TOASTE ... Nice!!
That's the chassis number, which is also in your VIN you gave us yesterday![]()
