okay guys you guessed it, this is a hand me down from the mother. haha
the approach I've decided to take with this car is to spend as little as possible
for not so much the best, but livable results.
the first mod was a black respray of the front grill, including black out of the toyota badge, as well as debadging the 'toyota' and 'CSI' from the back of the car.

after this I decided to re trim the doors which were basically falling appart.

$5 later the car was starting to look pretty fresh.
i then got sick of the standard radio in the car, so decided to
replace the headunit, front and rear speakers, got a good deal on
some sony stuff and ended up installing it all myself, works a treat.
Head unit.
i havent really done anything else major, here are a few more pics.

Japanese Gum, for extra JDM reppp
P plate holder.
She's Street legal
And finally how it sits today.
future plans include:
- Clark Rubber front lip
- finding some second hand rims, hopefully around 17x8
- Lowering springs
- 20% tints
- Axle back muffler with down turned exhaust tip.
obviously those are all slightly more expensive things
and this is all for a bit of fun, nothing serious.

Here's my opinion:
I hate these cars with a passion.
My girlfriend has one. Biggest piece of shit ever. Overheats randomly, blows head gaskets, I WANT TO DRIVE IT OFF A BRIDGE.
Please do not waste any money on this car, burn it with fire then claim insurance.

Like you have already said, dont bother spending cash on it, that includes rims and exhaust just cop bait for p platers anyways..
Just bin the hubcaps, spray them stockers black and your exhaust while your at it.. still get the low spring coz there is not a car on this planet that does not need lowering..
then just enjoy having a car and start saving for you next one

I've got an SV21 Camry as a daily and you can't kill it with a stick. I haven't spent a cent on it and it never lets me down. If you can deal with being seen in a Camry (mine has crochet cushsion on the parcel shelf!) they make an excellent daily.
one more reason for the tints huh?
EDIT: I also forgot to mention i plan on attempting a clark rubber front lip at some stage.
camry's are as reliable as a car can get.
my old man's 01 model (same 5sfe engine) just ticked over 300k.
engine and box never been touched, in fact only prob it's ever had was a leaky power steering rack and a collapsed key barrel. zero problems otherwise.
as for modding one... yerr i dunno about that hahah......
