    Oil Catch Tank Question

When intalling the oil catch tank, should it be installed in such a way so the hoses are the shortest length possible? so the oil vapours distance is minimised? because ive seen people install catch tanks on one side of the engine bay running long hoses which I want to avoid, so bascially what is the most logical way?

    thanks.

that is mainly due to lack of space to put it anywhere closer...
eg. GTRs, right behind the driver's side headlight

Just make sure it's not to close to the hot areas of the engine, you want the blow by vapour to cool to oil residue in the catch can
